Neha Hiremath, daughter of a local politician, was brutally murdered in Karnataka, sparking widespread protests. Hindu groups demand justice and harsh punishment for the accused, leading to road blockades and demonstrations in various cities. Politicians from different parties join the outcry. Muslim leaders also condemn the act, emphasizing the need for severe punishment.

The accused allegedly subjected her to confinement, sexual assault, and brutal physical abuse, including being whipped with a belt and battered with a water pipe. He even resorted to rubbing chilli powder on her wounds and sealing her lips with adhesive to prevent her from calling for help.

The Kumily police arrested Coimbatore native Premkumar for raping a foreign woman at various places in Kerala. The Czech Republic woman befriended the accused through social media.

The accusation came during a hearing in a Delhi court where Kejriwal had filed an application requesting continuous monitoring of his sugar levels and permission to consult his doctor.

Preeti Shukla accused Aparna Thakur of blackmailing Ravi Kishan and his family for wanting Rs 20 crore by making false claims when her demands were not met.

In Bengaluru, tensions escalated when a group of Muslim youths confronted three Hindu youths celebrating Sri Ram Navami, leading to an altercation. The confrontation became physical, resulting in the arrest of four individuals, including two minors. The incident, which took place in Chikkabettahalli, was captured on CCTV, aiding police in making the arrests.

Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda accused Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar of orchestrating the kidnapping of a 9-year-old girl and illegal seizure of her father's property. Deve Gowda provided details of the incident, alleging coercion and fraudulent activities. He urged authorities to investigate and questioned Shivakumar's leadership integrity within the Congress party.

He has been accused of torturing a doctor by pretending to be her friend and promising marriage.  The investigation was overseen by the Nedumangad Circle Inspector.

It is reportedly said that the police officials successfully tracked down the accused involved in the firing episode at Salman Khan's Bandra residence on Sunday to Bhuj district in Gujarat. The authorities are all set to transport them to Mumbai on Tuesday morning.

A 27-year-old tech professional in Bengaluru has filed a police complaint against Adityanath Singh, alleging deceit and assault under false marriage promises. The two met in 2022 and became intimate, but issues arose in 2023 when Singh became distant, assaulted her, and postponed marriage talks upon learning of her undisclosed estranged marital status. Investigations are ongoing.

The CBI has registered an FIR against Hyderabad-based Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd for alleged bribery, involving the company's projects related to the Jagdalpur integrated steel plant. Eight officials from NISP and NMDC, along with two from MECON, are accused of receiving bribes totalling approximately Rs 78 lakh. 

The NIA recently scored a major breakthrough in its pursuit of justice following the Rameshwaram Cafe attack in Bengaluru, with the apprehension of two key suspects, Abdul Matheen Taha and Mussavir Hussain Shazib.
