A bike thief in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor found an unusual way to hide his identity while stealing motorcycles, he wore a wig during the crimes and removed it afterwards. Police arrested Sonu alias Sohail, a history-sheeter of Afzalgarh police station, in connection with a motorcycle theft case. Bijnor Superintendent of Police KK Bishnoi revealed the arrest at a press conference on Monday.

Thief wore wig during bike thefts

The case came to light after a man named Vishal reported that his Yamaha motorcycle had been stolen on October 4. Police began checking CCTV footage and using surveillance inputs to trace the suspect.

Investigators noticed a peculiar pattern in the footage. The suspect was seen wearing a wig while allegedly carrying out the theft. After leaving the scene, he would remove the wig, apparently to change his appearance and make identification more difficult.

Police eventually arrested Sonu and recovered a stolen Yamaha MT-15 from him. They also found a burnt Apache motorcycle.

Apache stolen from Nainital

During questioning, police said Sonu admitted to stealing the Apache from Nainital and later setting it on fire. Police also said he had been involved in motorcycle thefts across several states.

The accused is reportedly a history-sheeter and has also faced action under the Gangsters Act. Police said his previous involvement in theft cases helped them identify him during the investigation, according to a report by Dainik Bhaskar.

The Agra couple stressed in the viral video that they have submitted more than 50 application and made nearly 2000 videos to get justice. Agra police say the matter is a civil property dispute before a court, with both sides giving conflicting accounts.

Couple’s allegations against son and daughter-in-law

Ram Vilas Katara and his wife Usha Katara, from Agra’s Malpura area, have sought help. In a video, they claim they were forced out of their house on January 4, 2022.

Ram Vilas has alleged that he spent around Rs 60 lakh on a two-storey house built on a plot registered in his daughter-in-law’s name. He also claimed the property was worth around Rs 75 lakh and was sold for Rs 46 lakh. These figures are allegations and have not been independently established.

In Vira video, the couple says they posted numerous videos and submitted 52 applications.

What Agra police said

The Malpura police inquiry presents a different picture. According to the Agra Police Commissionerate, the dispute concerns ownership and division of the family property. Police said the house is registered in the daughter-in-law’s name and that a partition-related case is pending before the court.

Police also said Ram Vilas currently lives in a rented house with his wife and younger son. After questioning both sides, investigators found contradictory statements and described the matter as civil in nature.

A late-night police visit over suspected gambling ended in the death of a 38-year-old man in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The victim's family has accused two constables of throwing him off a terrace. The incident in the city's Rawli area has triggered public anger, prompting police to suspend the two personnel and order a detailed investigation into the allegations.

Lalit Rajput died while undergoing treatment at a hospital after the incident on the night of October 16-17. His father, Chandan Rajput, alleged that the constables assaulted his son and pushed him from the terrace of a building's second floor. Police, however, have given a different account of their initial visit to the area. The circumstances surrounding Lalit's death remain under investigation.

Family's allegation against constables

According to Chandan Rajput, Lalit was playing cards with friends on the terrace of a building in Rawli around midnight on Friday when two constables arrived following information about gambling.

The father identified the personnel as Shubham Rathi and Akash Verma. He alleged that the policemen got into an argument and a scuffle with Lalit before throwing him off the terrace.

Chandan also claimed that his son and his friends were playing cards but were not gambling.

The incident drew a crowd, with residents expressing anger over Lalit's death. Police personnel from several stations were deployed in the area to manage the situation.

Lalit's body was sent for a post-mortem examination, and his last rites were subsequently performed.

What Agra Police said about the incident

In its official statement, Agra Police said a Cheetah mobile patrol from Rakabganj police station was on duty in the Rawli area on the night of October 16-17.

During patrol, the personnel received information about gambling in Ashok Gali and went there to verify it. According to police, around four to five people present at the location ran away when they saw the officers approaching.

तत्पश्चात रात्रि लगभग 03:00 बजे यूपी-112 के माध्यम से सूचना प्राप्त हुई कि ललित राजपूत पुत्र चंदन राजपूत, उम्र लगभग 38 वर्ष, निवासी रावली, अशोक गली, थाना रकाबगंज, आगरा की उपचार के दौरान अस्पताल में मृत्यु हो गई है। सूचना प्राप्त होते ही थाना प्रभारी रकाबगंज तत्काल मौके पर पहुंचे। घटनास्थल का फील्ड यूनिट द्वारा निरीक्षण किया गया, जिसमें संबंधित स्थान पर स्थित छत से ताश के 52 पत्ते एवं चप्पल आदि बरामद हुई। मृतक के संबंध में पंचायतनामा की कार्यवाही पूर्ण कर पोस्टमार्टम कराया गया। मृतक का अंतिम संस्कार किया जा चुका है।

मृतक के परिजनों द्वारा चीता मोबाइल पर तैनात पुलिसकर्मियों के विरुद्ध आरोप लगाए गए, जिसके दृष्टिगत संबंधित पुलिसकर्मियों को तत्काल प्रभाव से निलंबित कर दिया गया है।

प्रकरण की गंभीरता को देखते हुए निष्पक्ष एवं विस्तृत जांच हेतु दूसरे सर्किल प्रकरण सहायक पुलिस आयुक्त, छत्ता को आवंटित किया गया है। जांच में प्राप्त तथ्यों एवं साक्ष्यों के आधार पर अग्रिम विधिक कार्यवाही अमल में लाई जाएगी।

The personnel then returned to their patrol, the statement said.

At around 3 am, police received information through the UP-112 emergency response service that Lalit Rajput, son of Chandan Rajput and a resident of Ashok Gali in Rawli, had died while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The station house officer of Rakabganj police station immediately reached the location. A field unit examined the scene and recovered a pack of 52 playing cards and slippers from the terrace, according to the police statement.

Police completed the inquest proceedings and arranged for a post-mortem examination.

Two constables suspended, independent probe ordered

Agra Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Ravindra Kumar said the two constables had been suspended after Lalit's family accused the patrol personnel of involvement in the incident.

Given the seriousness of the allegations, the investigation has been assigned to the Assistant Commissioner of Police of the Chhatta circle to ensure a detailed and impartial inquiry, the police statement said.

Officials said further legal action would be taken based on the facts and evidence that emerge during the investigation. The suspension of the two constables is an administrative measure and does not, by itself, establish their guilt.

The central question remains what happened between the police visit and Lalit's death. Investigators will have to examine the family's allegations alongside the police account and the physical evidence recovered from the terrace.

Woman had left home with lover

The case relates to a village under the Biwanr police station area of Hamirpur. The young woman allegedly left home on September 20 with a man from Kanpur’s Bithoor area. Police traced and recovered her on Wednesday. She was subsequently produced before the court on Thursday for recording her statement, according to a report by Aaj Tak.

According to reports, the woman told the court that she wanted to stay with her lover. Her statement reportedly angered her mother, who was waiting outside the court premises.

Mother allegedly attacks man

Soon after hearing her daughter’s statement, the woman allegedly confronted the young man’s father and attacked him.

A video circulating online purportedly shows the woman slapping and kicking the man before also hitting him with her slippers. The alleged assault took place outside the court premises.

After the incident, the woman reportedly got into a Bolero vehicle and left the spot.

The video has since attracted attention on social media, with the incident being described as a confrontation between the two families over the young woman’s relationship.

Police yet to receive complaint

Police said no official complaint had been filed by either side in connection with the alleged assault.

Hamirpur Circle Officer Sadar Yashpal Singh said police had not received any information or written complaint regarding the incident. He added that appropriate legal action would be taken if either party approached the police with a complaint.

Jhansi Protest Disrupts Traffic Near Police Lines

According to reports, members of both groups gathered on the busy road during rush hour. Some protesters were seen pulling down their clothes, running along the road and shouting slogans against the police.

All five were produced before a remand magistrate on Sunday. They have been booked under Sections 151(2), 285, 296, 293, 121(1), 132, 221 and 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

In a statement, Jhansi Police said the Nawabad police station was conducting an investigation and pursuing legal proceedings. Police also said the situation at the site was peaceful and law and order had returned to normal.

The figures highlight a key distinction in India's criminal justice system: receiving a death sentence and being executed are two separate stages.

9 Of India's 21 Women On Death Row Are From UP

Uttar Pradesh accounts for nine of the 21 women reported to be on death row, making it the state with the largest share of women facing capital punishment.

The remaining women are from Kerala, Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Their cases are at different stages of the judicial process and not every death sentence has received confirmation from the relevant High Court.

Among the cases awaiting further legal proceedings are those of Geeta Devi, Jaldhara, Roopa Singh, Nazima and Hasima, according to the report.

The reported figures reflect the cases covered by the research and should not be interpreted as meaning that all 21 women have exhausted their legal options.

Shabnam: Death Sentence Upheld, But No Execution

Shabnam's case is among India's most widely discussed death penalty cases involving a woman.

She was convicted in connection with the murder of seven members of her family in Uttar Pradesh in 2008. A trial court sentenced her to death in 2010. The Allahabad High Court upheld the sentence in 2013 and the Supreme Court rejected her appeal in 2015.

Her review petition was also dismissed, and her mercy petitions were rejected. Despite these developments, she has not been executed.

Her case highlights how a death sentence can remain unimplemented even after several major legal challenges have been decided. The process also involves safeguards governing the execution of a prisoner, rather than an automatic move from a final court ruling to the gallows.

Fehmida, Sonam Dagar And Kiran Bai Have Waited Years

Several other women have spent more than a decade under death sentences.

Fehmida Sayyed was sentenced to death in 2009 for her role in the 2003 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case. The Bombay High Court confirmed her sentence in 2012, but her appeal remains pending before the Supreme Court, according to Indian Express report.

Sonam Dagar received a death sentence in 2014 for multiple murders. Her sentence was upheld by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, but the Supreme Court stayed her execution in 2018.

Kiran Bai was also sentenced to death in 2014. Her sentence was upheld by the Chhattisgarh High Court and later by the Supreme Court. However, her mercy petition was reported to be pending before the state Governor.

These cases are examples that the reasons for delays differ. An appeal may remain unresolved, an execution may be stayed by a court, or a mercy petition may still be awaiting a decision.

Why Is A Death Sentence Not Carried Out Immediately?

In India, a trial court's death sentence must be confirmed by the relevant High Court before it can be executed. The High Court examines the case and the punishment rather than simply treating the trial court's decision as final.

A prisoner can then pursue further remedies, including an appeal before the Supreme Court and, where legally available, review and curative petitions. A convict may also seek mercy from the Governor or the President under their respective constitutional powers.

Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla received death sentences from a Meerut court after a trial lasting around 13 months, involving 127 hearings and more than 22 witness testimonies.

However, the verdict does not mean their execution is imminent. The death sentences must undergo the required judicial confirmation process and further legal remedies may be pursued.

Police examine circumstances surrounding death

According to police, people and security personnel present at the complex tried to intervene and save the man after noticing what was happening. However, their efforts were unsuccessful.

Police said initial inquiries indicated that Jain had been under considerable mental stress. Reports also suggest that he had been facing financial difficulties and had been away from home for around four days.

Investigators are examining a chat between Jain and his father as part of the inquiry. However, police have not reached a final conclusion about what led to his death.

Officials said it would be premature to link the death to any single reason while the investigation is still underway.

CCTV footage, forensic evidence being checked

Personnel from the Sector 126 police station visited the scene and questioned people who were present at the time of the incident. A forensic team also examined the location and collected relevant evidence.

Police are checking CCTV footage from the building and surrounding areas to establish the sequence of events.

Investigators are also trying to establish how Jain had booked the accommodation and under whose name the stay was registered. His identity documents and other details are being examined. Police are further investigating why Jain came to Noida and whether he was supposed to meet anyone there.

The police have informed Jain's family about the incident. His body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. Three days after his death, his 43-year-old cousin also died following a period of illness. Family members said HIV infection had also been detected in his case, according to a report by Prabhat Khabar.

Family raises questions over woman's contact

According to relatives, the younger man had told them about his contact with the woman after his HIV diagnosis. The family also said he had seen his cousin visiting the woman's rented room.

Local residents said the woman had stayed in the area for some time before leaving the property and moving elsewhere. People in the neighbourhood have been concerned about others who may have had contact with her.

However, neither the woman's HIV status nor any direct link between her and the two men's infections has been publicly established. HIV transmission can only be assessed through medical history, testing and expert investigation, and an HIV diagnosis alone cannot establish who transmitted the infection.

Health department plans counselling

The deaths have prompted the health department to take note of the situation. Bijnor Chief Medical Officer Dr Kaushlendra Singh has directed a team to visit the village and conduct counselling.

Officials are expected to encourage people who believe they may have had a possible exposure to seek confidential testing at authorised health facilities. Medical experts also stress that people should not rely on rumours or assume infection based on contact with someone.

The Greater Noida case brings to mind a separate tragedy in Mumbai in April this year, when four members of the Dokadia family died after reportedly eating watermelon.

The victim, identified as Ashia, also known as Nargis and Tina, was a resident of Safipur in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district.

Police suspect that she was killed elsewhere and her body was dumped near Saidpur village to destroy evidence. Her post-mortem examination reportedly found that she had suffered a heavy blow to the head before being strangled. The case took a serious turn after messages sent from her phone shortly before her death named several people and accused her sister Shaheen of arranging the alleged abduction, according to a report by Aaj Tak.

Lucknow Murder Case: What Did Victim's Last Messages Say?

According to the information provided by her family, Ashia left her elder sister Nasreen's house in Nawabganj on Saturday to travel to Unnao. She was allegedly abducted on the way by people travelling in a white Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.

Shortly before her death, messages were sent from Ashia's phone to her elder brother and Nasreen. In the messages, she reportedly claimed that Shaheen had helped arrange her abduction and appealed to her brother to rescue her.

She also alleged that the abductors had taken her money and named three men, Arsalan, Kallu and Mudabbir, as those involved in the incident. Ashia reportedly told her family that she had written their names on a piece of paper and kept it in her bag.

The allegations contained in the messages are being examined by the police and have not been independently established.

Post-Mortem Reveals Cause Of Death

The woman's body was discovered in bushes beside the service lane of the Outer Ring Road in the Dubagga police station area of Lucknow. Police identified her using documents recovered from the scene and sent the body for a post-mortem examination.

According to the post-mortem findings reported on Sunday, the attackers allegedly struck Ashia on the head with a heavy object before strangling her. Strangulation was identified as the primary cause of death.

Police have also preserved her viscera for further examination as part of the investigation.

Investigators suspect that Ashia was murdered at another location and that her body was dumped near Saidpur village in an attempt to conceal evidence.

Ashia's Family Life And Previous Marriages

According to her relatives, Ashia's personal life had been marked by several difficulties. Around seven years ago, she married a Hindu man from her village in a love marriage and moved to Delhi. The couple have a four-year-old daughter.

After disagreements with her first husband, she returned to her village around two years later.

On February 21, 2021, her father, Qamaruddin, arranged her second marriage to Nasir, a resident of Rupau village in the Makhi area of Unnao district. However, she reportedly returned home after spending just one night at her marital home following disagreements.

Her father subsequently turned her out of the family home, according to the account provided by her relatives. Ashia then lived in a rented house in Safipur with her daughter. For the past month, she had reportedly been staying with her elder sister Nasreen in Nawabganj.

Police Question Suspects

Following a complaint by Nasreen, Dubagga police registered a first information report (FIR) against unidentified assailants under sections relating to murder and destruction of evidence.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Kakori, Shakeel Ahmed, said screenshots of the WhatsApp messages provided by the family had been included in the investigation.

Police have detained some people known to the victim and other suspects for questioning. Investigators are examining the available evidence, including mobile phone location data, to establish the sequence of events and identify those responsible.

The police have said they expect to make progress in the case as the investigation continues. The allegations against the people named in the messages remain under investigation, and their involvement has yet to be established.

Car crashes into truck at high speed

According to preliminary information, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was travelling at around 100 kmph when it rammed into the back of the truck.

The collision was so severe that the car was badly damaged and the occupants became trapped inside. Police and local residents broke open the vehicle and pulled all six players out.

They were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared three of them dead. The deceased were identified as Nitya Prajapati, 22, and Irfan Ansari, 20, both from Deoria, and Aniket, 24, from Bhagalpur.

The three injured players were identified as Anand Yadav, 23, Raju, 22, and Jayanto Sharma, 30, from Birbhum in West Bengal. They were later referred to Ayodhya Medical College for further treatment.

The woman, identified as Upsorn, approached Additional DCP East Shiva Singh in Kanpur on Tuesday and submitted her complaint. She alleged that she had spent around Rs 55 lakh on two expensive sports bikes for Mohammad Irfan during their relationship.

According to Upsorn, she began asking Irfan to return the money after he started distancing himself from her. She alleged that he initially avoided her calls and later stopped communicating with her altogether.

Upsorn, who is from Thailand, told police that she runs a restaurant business there. Irfan used to travel to Thailand for business, and the two became acquainted through social media.

Their meetings continued and, according to Upsorn, they remained in contact for around four years. She said they eventually married two years ago in accordance with Thai traditions.

The woman reportedly showed police photographs, wedding cards and other documents related to the marriage. She also produced pictures of rings that she said were specially made with both their names and exchanged during the wedding.

Upsorn claimed that after the marriage, she wanted Irfan to live with her. However, she alleged that his attitude changed and that he told her she would have to accept Islam and wear a burqa if she wanted to stay with him in India.

She said she refused to change her religion.

Upsorn alleged that after she refused to convert, she started asking Irfan to return the money she had spent on him. According to her complaint, he kept delaying the repayment before eventually cutting off contact.

She said Irfan returned to India in February 2026. At first, he allegedly told her that he was unwell. However, she claimed that communication later stopped completely.

After repeated attempts to contact him failed, Upsorn travelled to Kanpur on Monday with an acquaintance. She then went to Irfan's house on Latouche Road.

It was there, she claimed, that she discovered Irfan was already married and had three children.

According to the woman's complaint, Irfan initially refused to recognise her when she reached his house. She alleged that he later acknowledged knowing her, but an argument followed.

Upsorn has alleged that Irfan again pressured her over conversion and that she was beaten and verbally abused when she objected.

After the incident, she approached police officials along with lawyer Mehtab Ali and submitted details of her allegations.

The police have now registered a case against Irfan based on her complaint. DCP Central Atul Kumar Srivastava said the case includes allegations related to fraud, assault and pressure to convert. Police are investigating the matter.

Rs 55 lakh spent on two sports bikes, woman claims

One of the main allegations concerns two expensive sports bikes.

Upsorn told police that Irfan was fond of luxury cars and sports motorcycles. She claimed that she paid for bikes on two of his birthdays.

According to her, around Rs 21 lakh was paid for the first bike and approximately Rs 34 lakh for the second. Together, she claimed, the two motorcycles cost around Rs 55 lakh.

Irfan has reportedly posted videos of himself with expensive bikes on social media. His Instagram account, identified as "M Ek Vlogge", is said to contain videos related to buying and riding motorcycles in Kanpur.

Upsorn also claimed that Irfan owns three expensive cars.

Upsorn told police that she runs a restaurant and canteen business in Thailand. She alleged that she eventually ran short of money while continuing to spend on Irfan.

She claimed that she mortgaged her restaurant with a bank and took a loan to arrange more money. When that was still not enough, she allegedly borrowed money from her sister and other relatives.

According to her, she continued giving money to Irfan but is now unable to recover it, reported Aaj Tak.

She has told police that she wants her money returned and has submitted material that she believes supports her claim about their relationship and marriage.

Police investigation has also revealed that Irfan's first marriage took place in 2012. He has three children.

His family lives in an old house in a lane in Iftikharabad. Police said Irfan was arrested from the same house.

Irfan is also reported to be involved in a tannery business in Jajmau under the name "Irfan Tannery". The business is reportedly run in partnership with a person named Rehan.

Local residents have told police that Irfan's lifestyle had changed considerably over the past few years and that he was often seen using expensive cars.

Irfan's mother has denied all the allegations made by Upsorn. She claimed that the Thai woman was trying to trap her son for money and was blackmailing him.

According to his mother, Irfan had told the family that he had suffered losses in business. She said family members had also helped him financially.

She rejected the claim that the sports bikes were bought with the woman's money, saying Irfan purchased them from his own earnings. She added that his father had also been unhappy with his spending on expensive bikes.

On Irfan's trips to Thailand, his mother said his father had tried to stop him from travelling there. She acknowledged that the family knew about some aspects of his relationship with the woman but said they did not interfere in his personal life, according to Aaj Tak report.

The mother further claimed that Upsorn had been putting pressure on Irfan for a long time. She alleged that the woman was already a mother and was using the relationship to blackmail her son.

She said Irfan had been under mental stress because of the situation.

After his arrest, Irfan was brought before the media late on Tuesday night. He had covered his face with a handkerchief and became emotional while journalists questioned him.

The case now hinges on the allegations made by Upsorn, the documents and photographs submitted by her and the evidence collected by police. Police officials said they are continuing their investigation into the alleged fraud, assault and pressure to convert.

Police register case

Agra Police said it had received information that an unidentified person had damaged a finger of the Ambedkar statue. Officers from Barhan police station immediately reached the village and spoke to local residents to gather information about the incident.

In a social media response, the Agra Police Commissionerate said a new statue was being arranged with the cooperation of local residents.

After the verdict, advocate Krishan Kumar Dubey told reporters outside the court that Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla had been sentenced to death for the murder of Saurabh Rajput. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 under Section 302 and Rs 20,000 under Section 238A, he added.

Muskan's family has alleged that she was murdered and raised questions about the circumstances surrounding her death. Police have detained her husband for questioning and said the allegations are being investigated. The exact cause of death will be established after the postmortem report, officials said.

The incident reportedly took place at around 10.50 am as the couple were preparing to leave the hotel. A 47-second CCTV clip that has circulated on social media shows three people walking along a hotel corridor towards a room.

Two people, including Muskan's husband, enter first, while she follows them. As she reaches the doorway, she suddenly collapses outside the room.

The footage then shows Nilesh returning to pick her up and carrying her inside. According to reports, hotel staff helped take her to a hospital. She was later referred to the District Hospital, where she was declared dead.

Police said they examined the CCTV footage as part of the investigation. The circumstances visible in the clip are being considered alongside other evidence to determine what happened before Muskan collapsed.

Superintendent of Police (City) Preeti Singh said Sipri Bazar police received information that a woman had been brought to the District Hospital in a deceased condition.

Police personnel reached the hospital and questioned Nilesh, who was present there. According to Singh, he told investigators that he and Muskan had stayed at Rishabh Hotel the previous night and were checking out in the morning when she suddenly fell near the threshold of Room 212.

He reportedly said hotel staff helped take her to hospital in an auto-rickshaw before she was referred to the District Hospital.

In a statement issued on October 25, Jhansi Police said the CCTV footage showed Muskan collapsing while standing near the room entrance. However, officials stressed that the actual cause of death would become clear only after the postmortem examination.

According to Ahirwar, Nilesh arrived in Jhansi on the night of October 23. The following day, he took Muskan with him, reportedly telling the family that they were going to visit his aunt.

The father alleged that the couple instead went to Rishabh Hotel. He said the family later learnt that a hotel booking had been made for October 23 to October 24.

Ahirwar said the family received a phone call asking them to come to the hotel, only to learn later that Muskan had been taken to hospital. He alleged that Nilesh gave conflicting explanations about the incident before the family reached the District Hospital and found her dead.

The allegations have not been established, and police are investigating the family's claims.

Muskan's father has also alleged that Nilesh had been married before their wedding on June 29, 2026, and had not disclosed this to the family.

According to Ahirwar, Muskan later told her relatives about the alleged previous marriage. He claimed that the other woman lived in Indore and that Nilesh frequently compared Muskan with her.

These claims are also part of the family's allegations and have not been independently verified.

Muskan's parental home is in Jhansi, while her matrimonial home is in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. Her family is seeking answers about the circumstances of her death.

Police have said the allegations made by Muskan's father are being examined. Her body has been sent for postmortem examination, and the findings are expected to help establish the cause of death.

The investigation remains ongoing, with police saying that further action will depend on the medical findings and other evidence gathered in the case.

In her latest video, she revealed that Shiva faced immense financial pressure and often spoke of ending his life due to persistent calls regarding loans worth lakhs.

Her statement comes as police intensify efforts to trace her and other accused in the case.

Dubey, who is also a make-up artist, said she had done nothing wrong and was willing to appear before the police to record her statement. She also appealed to the media to stop linking her to politicians and senior officials without evidence.

The video, which lasts around one minute and 15 seconds, surfaced a day after Dubey was named as the prime accused in the case. Lucknow Police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each for information leading to the arrest of Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey and Tanveer Ali, alias Danish.

In another video, Dubey directly addressed the allegations surrounding Sharma's death and rejected the claim that he was murdered.

She said Sharma had died by suicide and urged people not to draw conclusions about the case before the investigation was complete.

She urged media organisations not to associate her with high-ranking officials or political figures without supporting evidence.

The influencer added that she was not physically well enough to explain the circumstances in detail at present. Stressing that people should think hundred times before making allegations against a woman, she requested to consider her condition while discussing the case.

In another video, Shraddha Dubey narrated what happened on the night before Shiva jumped to death. In the video, she is heard saying, "I am Shraddha Dubey, whose name keeps getting thrown around in the Shiva murder case. I had nothing to do with him, I had nothing to do with that murder. That wasn't a murder, it was a suicide… I saw it with my own eyes, him jumping…If the CCTV cameras from there come out, everything will come out, then it will show how he was jumping."

She explained that all the allegations against her are causing her mental harassment and torture and she will eventually take her own life if it did not stop.

Her remarks came as the case attracted attention on social media, with discussions extending beyond the circumstances of Sharma's death.

Sharma, 28, died on October 9 after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartment in Lucknow's Hazratganj area.

According to police sources, he had reportedly been in a relationship with Dubey for around four months. Reports have described him as the owner of a chain of restaurants.

Following his death, Sharma's mother, Ranjana Sharma, lodged a first information report (FIR) accusing Dubey, her sister Rashmi, driver Adil and others of being involved in his alleged murder.

The family has alleged that Dubey pushed Sharma from the building. This allegation is being examined by investigators and has not been established in court.

Police eventually reached an apartment in the Chinchbhuwan area, where Dubey and people accompanying her were found in a flat on the 11th floor.

Before reaching Nagpur, she was reportedly in Nepal, Agra, Lucknow and Kanpur. Investigators are checking her movements, travel arrangements and possible contacts in these locations.

Shiva Sharma, 28, who owned a cafe in Lucknow, allegedly fell from the balcony of an apartment building in the Balu Adda area of Hazratganj on October 9.

The case was initially treated as an accidental death. However, it became a suspected murder investigation after Sharma's family alleged that he had been assaulted and tortured before being thrown from the building.

Police have booked Dubey, her sister Rashmi, their driver and two other people in connection with the suspected murder.
