A case of cyber fraud has come to light from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, where a young boy's quick thinking saved his parents from losing money. The incident happened in the Prem Nagar area and involved scammers pretending to carry out a 'digital arrest'. Police said fraudsters called local trader Sanjay Saxena and his wife from an unknown number. They claimed to be officials from an investigative agency.

Fake claims and threats used to scare family

During the call, the scammers accused Saxena of having links with terrorist activities and a large financial scam. To make their story look real, they even showed a fake arrest warrant on a video call.

The couple was put under heavy mental pressure. The fraudsters told them they were under 'digital arrest' and must follow strict rules.

10-hour video call and control tactics

Police said the scammers kept the couple on a video call for nearly 10 hours. They ordered them not to leave their home and to keep the camera on at all times.

The fraudsters forced them to carry out daily activities like eating and resting while staying on camera. During this time, they managed to get sensitive bank details from the couple and were preparing to steal money.

The parents were too scared to question anything due to the constant threats.

Son's quick thinking saves the day

Late at night, their son Tanmay, a Class 8 student, realised something was wrong. At first, his parents did not listen to him as they were frightened.

However, the boy took action and switched the phone to flight mode. This suddenly cut off the connection with the fraudsters.

His quick decision stopped the scam at a crucial moment and saved the family from financial loss.

Police step in and warn public

The next morning, the family went to Prem Nagar police station and reported the incident. When the phone was turned on again, the fraudsters tried to call back.

This time, police officers answered the call and confronted them.

SP City Manush Pareek confirmed that a case has been registered. He warned people to stay alert and never share bank details under pressure. He also advised reporting any such 'digital arrest' calls to the police immediately.

They also contacted her tuition teacher, who confirmed that the girl had not attended class that day.

Police search, CCTV footage checked

After the family informed the police, a missing complaint was registered. Police teams began searching the area and checking CCTV cameras installed in nearby streets, according to a report by Dainik Bhaskar. Footage showed the girl buying a packet of chips from a shop around 2 pm. She was then seen walking back towards her home. After that, there was no trace of her.

Police formed multiple teams to investigate. One team examined CCTV footage, another questioned neighbours, and a third team searched nearby houses.

Suspicion falls on tenant

During the search, the family informed police about a tenant named Sunil, who lived in a room above their other house. He reportedly worked as a painter.

The father said that Sunil had been present during the search and even accompanied him to the police station to file the complaint. However, when police began checking houses closely, Sunil suddenly went missing.

He locked his room and disappeared, raising suspicion.

Body found inside container

On Wednesday night around 8 pm, police broke open the locked room of the tenant. During the search, they made a shocking discovery. The girl’s body was found inside a small container kept in the room. A sack of flour had been placed on top of it, and a red quilt was covering it.

Police immediately took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination.

Mother faints, family in shock

The scene left the family devastated. The girl’s mother fainted after seeing her daughter’s body. Relatives and neighbours gathered at the spot, expressing grief and anger.

The child was the younger of two sisters. The family lives nearby, while the building where the body was found has a factory on the ground floor and a rented room above.

Public anger leads to protest

As news of the murder spread, local residents became angry and gathered on the streets. They blocked Fatehabad Road and staged a protest, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.

Some people also resorted to stone-pelting and attempted to damage vehicles. The situation remained tense for about 30 minutes.

Police officials, led by DCP City Syed Ali Abbas, reached the spot with a heavy force. They spoke to the crowd and managed to bring the situation under control.

Police action and investigation

Police have registered a case of kidnapping and murder against the absconding tenant. Around 10 teams have been formed to trace and arrest him.

Officials said the exact cause of death will be clear only after the post-mortem report is fully examined. Initial findings have revealed two cut marks on the girl’s neck and scratch marks on her hands and legs.

Doctors said the cause of death appears to be excessive bleeding.

After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family on Thursday morning. The last rites were performed shortly after. Family members demanded strict punishment for the accused. The girl’s aunt said the culprit should be given the harshest possible punishment.

DCP City Syed Ali Abbas, as quoted by Dainik Bhaskar, assured the family that the case would be fast-tracked and the accused would be arrested soon. He said the police are working on all leads and are committed to delivering justice.

Jainul, the groom’s brother, was carrying wood from the third floor to the ground floor using a temporary lift installed at the venue.

Lift cable snaps suddenly

While Jainul was inside the lift with the wood, the cable suddenly snapped. The lift crashed straight down from the third floor to the ground.

The impact was very strong. People nearby heard a loud noise and rushed towards the spot.

When they reached, they found Jainul trapped under the wood, bleeding and seriously injured.

Rescue and medical treatment

Rescue after tense wait

Agra Double Murder Case: Husband, Father And Brother Get Death Penalty For Brutal Killings

A court in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, has sentenced three men to death in a shocking double murder case from 2022. The convicts include a husband, his father, and his brother, who were found guilty of killing the man’s wife and her cousin. The court also imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh each on the three convicts. The judgment came after hearing evidence and witness statements in the four-year-old case.

Murders linked to suspicion of relationship

The case took place in the Etmadpur area of Agra on May 27, 2022. According to reports, the accused suspected that the wife, Pooja, and her cousin Shivam Sisodia were in a relationship. Shivam, aged 31, lived close to the house of the accused's relatives. Due to family connections, he often visited their home, which led to suspicion within the family, according to a report published by India Today.

Attack in broad daylight

On the day of the incident, Shivam had gone to meet Pooja at her house. The family allegedly caught them together. They were then dragged out into the street. It is reported that Gaurav, along with his father Madan and brother Abhishek, chased and attacked both Pooja and Shivam with sticks. When they fell, the attackers used a sharp-edged weapon, a farsa, to slit their throats.

Reports also say that Shivam was attacked multiple times within a very short time, showing the extreme violence of the act.

Bodies found outside the house

After the attack, Pooja's body was found at the doorstep of the house, while Shivam's body was lying in the street. Following the crime, Gaurav reportedly sat near his wife’s body and cried. Meanwhile, his father and brother went to the Etmad-ud-Daula police station and surrendered.

Police later recovered the weapon used in the crime and a blood-stained stick from a nearby drain.

Strong evidence presented in court

During the trial, 14 witnesses were presented. Key evidence included CCTV footage of the incident and the testimony of Shivam’s brother, Abhishek. After the judgment, the three convicts showed no clear emotion. While leaving the court, they said they would challenge the decision in the High Court and expressed trust in the justice system.

Pedestrians hit one after another

In the footage, the first victim is seen being thrown nearly five feet into the air due to the impact. The car did not stop and went on to hit three more people walking along the roadside.

After hitting the pedestrians, the vehicle crashed into a pickup van from behind. Even after this, the driver reversed the car and managed to flee from the scene, leaving the injured behind.

Four injured, rushed to hospital

Police reached the spot soon after getting information about the accident. Four injured people were taken to hospital for treatment.

The injured have been identified as Sanjay Gupta alias Guddu from Mishri Bazaar in Ghazipur and Zahur Ansari from Peer Sagar, according to a report by Dainik Bhaskar. Two others were also hurt in the incident. According to police, all injured persons are now stable and out of danger.

Case filed, driver on the run

Based on a complaint filed by Sanjay Gupta, police have registered a case against the driver of the car (registration number UP 65 BX 0051).

Sigra Station House Officer Sanjay Mishra said a team has been formed to trace and arrest the accused driver. He confirmed that efforts are ongoing and the suspect will be caught soon.

The accused, identified as Naresh Valmiki, was caught during a verification drive in the Pakbada police station area. His arrest is being seen as a major success for the police, as they had been trying to trace him for over two decades.

Living under fake identity in Sambhal

According to police, the 56-year-old had changed his identity and was living in Sambhal under the name Sultan, posing as the son of Jalaluddin. He had built a new life there and had blended in with local residents. To avoid arrest, he had created several fake documents in his new name, reported TV9 Hindi. These documents helped him stay hidden and continue living without raising suspicion.

Verification drive leads to breakthrough

The arrest happened during an ongoing verification campaign being carried out by the Pakbada police using the Yash app. The drive aims to identify suspicious persons in the area.

During the campaign, police received a tip-off from an informer about a man whose activities appeared suspicious. Acting on this information, a police team set up a trap on Dungarpur Road and managed to catch him, the TV9 Hindi report added.

At first, the accused introduced himself as Sultan. However, when questioned strictly, he admitted his real identity as Naresh Valmiki.

Fake documents recovered

During a search, police recovered several fake documents from the accused. These included two Aadhaar cards, three voter ID cards, a PAN card, an e-Shram card, a Prathama Bank smart card and a letterhead.

All these documents were made in the name of Sultan. Police also seized a mobile phone from him, which contained important information and digital records.

Accused admits hiding identity for years

During questioning, the accused admitted that he had been hiding his identity for many years. He told police that he had changed his name to avoid arrest in old criminal cases.

Police said he is involved in serious offences such as robbery, fraud and other charges. He had left his home years ago and started a new life under a false identity to escape the law.

Officials also suspect that he may have continued criminal activities while living under the fake name.

According to police, Ikra was riding a Yamaha R-15 bike, while 20-year-old Hashim was recording a video from the pillion seat. The accident happened while they were making the video, reported Aaj Tak.

A clip recorded just before the crash has gone viral on social media. In the video, Ikra can be seen riding the bike very fast, while Hashim captures the moment on camera.

However, they did not come back. On Sunday morning, the family received news of the accident.

Victim was preparing for police job

Ikra lived in Pasonda and had completed her Class 12 studies. Her father, Rahil, said she was preparing for recruitment in the Delhi Police.

The news of her death has left the family in deep shock. People in the area are mourning the loss of a young life.

Police statement and investigation

Assistant Commissioner of Police Priyashree Pal said that initial investigation shows Ikra was riding the bike at the time of the accident.

Police have taken the bike into custody and inspected the accident spot. A post-mortem report is awaited to confirm the exact cause of death.

Deal made through Telegram

Police said the racket used digital platforms to find donors. A demand was posted on a Telegram group by a man identified as Dr Afzal, who is linked to a hospital in Meerut.

A young man named Ayush from Bihar, who was studying in Dehradun, agreed to donate his kidney after being promised ₹6 lakh. However, he was paid only ₹3.5 lakh.

This payment dispute led to a complaint, which helped police uncover the entire racket.

During the investigation, links to Meerut’s Alpha Hospital came up. Police said several staff members may be involved.

In Kanpur, police arrested Dr Surjit Singh of Ahuja Hospital, his wife Preeti Ahuja, and others. Preeti Ahuja was also a vice-president of the Kanpur IMA.

An ambulance driver named Shivam was also arrested. Police said he pretended to be a doctor to cheat people.

Two OT technicians from Ghaziabad, Kuldeep and Rajesh, were also held.

Fake doctor shock

A shocking detail emerged about a man named Mudassar Ali. Police first believed he was a doctor who performed the surgery.

However, when officers visited his house, his wife said he was not a doctor but an OT technician.

Health department steps in

The Meerut health department has issued a notice to Alpha Hospital. Chief Medical Officer Dr Ashok Kataria has asked for a reply within three days.

The notice names several staff members, including a physiotherapist and doctors.

The incident took place on 3 October 2024 in the Soraon police station area of Prayagraj. The young girl had gone to see a Durga Puja pandal near Shivgarh crossing. Around 6:30 pm, while returning home, she went missing.

The next day, on 4 October, her body was found in a paddy field on the edge of the village. The body showed signs of severe injuries. Her hands and legs were broken, her teeth were damaged, and there were serious injuries to her private parts. Blood and foam were also seen coming from her mouth.

Investigation and arrest

Following a complaint by the girl’s mother, police registered a case against an unknown person. A post-mortem report later confirmed that the child was raped before being murdered.

During the investigation, police found that the accused, Mukesh Patel, was seen taking the girl on a bicycle on the evening of the incident. This became a key piece of evidence.

Twelve days after the crime, on 16 October 2024, police arrested the accused during an encounter in the Ganganagar area. According to police, he tried to escape by firing at officers. In return firing, he was shot in the leg and then arrested.

The prosecution said the accused committed rape and then attacked the girl’s face repeatedly to hide her identity. Her teeth were broken, her face was badly injured, and both her hands were also broken.

Three members of the gang were caught by shopkeepers and handed over to police, while the main accused managed to escape, according to a report by India Today.

Gang used fake raids to extort money

According to police, the gang members posed as Income Tax and GST officers. They would enter shops, claim to conduct raids, and scare traders into paying large amounts of money.

Shopkeepers in both Shadiyabad and Saidpur markets had been complaining about such incidents for several days. The gang used fear and authority to pressure people into giving cash.

Some reports suggest the gang had at least seven to eight members, including one woman.

A disturbing incident has come to light from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, where a woman allegedly killed her husband after a domestic dispute. Couple had love marriage 11 years ago

According to police, the deceased, identified as Bijendra, was originally from Farrukhabad. He had married Sonia, also known as Soni, around 11 years ago in a love marriage. Family members said that the couple had been facing frequent domestic disputes for a long time. There were also reports of regular arguments and physical fights between them.

Police said that on the night of March 31, an argument broke out between the couple. What started as a verbal fight soon turned violent.

According to the complaint, Sonia allegedly strangled her husband using a stick during the fight. Bijendra died on the spot due to the attack. The sudden death led to chaos and grief within the family.

Accused wife’s statement reveals alleged abuse

In her statement to the police, accused Sonia claimed she had suffered years of abuse in the marriage. She said she had left her family and even changed her religion for love before marrying Bijendra.

According to her, things were normal for the first five to six years, but later her husband became addicted to alcohol, leading to frequent fights at home.

Sonia alleged that the situation worsened after the birth of their second son, and for the past two years she had been facing severe physical and mental harassment. A tragic accident took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia district during the construction of a bridge over the Saryu river. Two workers lost their lives and two others were injured after an iron structure suddenly collapsed at the site. The incident happened near Madhubani village in the Belthara Road area under Ubhaon police station limits, according to a report published by Live Hindustan.

What happened at the site

The accident took place on Wednesday morning at around 10:30 am. At the time, workers were tying iron rods (rebar) to build a pillar for the bridge. According to eyewitnesses, the iron structure being prepared for the pillar suddenly fell down. It collapsed so quickly that the workers did not get any time to move away or save themselves.

Four workers were trapped under the heavy structure, the Live Hindustan report added.

Rescue operation

Soon after the collapse, there was panic at the site. People nearby rushed to help the trapped workers. However, due to the heavy iron structure, it was difficult to remove the debris by hand. A JCB machine was later used to clear the structure and rescue the workers.

After a long effort, all four workers were pulled out from under the debris.

Workers taken to hospital

The injured workers were immediately taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Siyar. Doctors examined them on arrival. Two workers were declared dead at the hospital. The other two were injured. One of them had serious injuries and was referred to the district hospital in Ballia for further treatment.

The second injured worker suffered minor injuries.

Victims identified

The two workers who died have been identified as Pappu, aged 30, and Amit, aged 29. Both were residents of Khairapura village in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. The seriously injured worker has been identified as Jugal, aged 21, from Dubia village in Pilibhit district. He is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital in Ballia.

The accident happened at a construction site where a new bridge is being built over the Saryu river. The bridge is coming up near the already existing Turtipar bridge.

Work was ongoing to build the pillar when the incident occurred.

Police investigation underway

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information about the accident. They have started an investigation to find out the exact cause of the collapse. Authorities are also informing the families of the deceased and injured workers.
