The man reportedly reached her flat around 5.30 am but found the door locked from inside. Police were alerted through Dial 112 and forcibly opened the door, where they found her hanging from the ceiling fan.

Police register case, investigation underway

A forensic clues team inspected the scene, and the body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for further procedures.

The women explained that their window had to remain slightly open because a Wi-Fi cable passed through it. However, they said a curtain covered the window to protect their privacy.

When confronted, the neighbours allegedly claimed they had heard a noise or thought there were pigeons inside the room. The women questioned these explanations, pointing out that their doors and windows were shut.

They also alleged that the mother and son initially acted as though they could not understand languages other than Telugu. However, in one of the CCTV clips, the man can allegedly be heard saying in Hindi, 'Haan, monitor hai' (Yes, there is a monitor).

Sharing the footage on Instagram, the women expressed disbelief at how someone could open their window and remove the curtain. They also questioned the neighbours' explanations, noting that the recordings showed incidents from two different days.

Landlord asks tenants to vacate

The women said they did not want to get involved in the process of visiting a police station and dealing with a complaint. Instead, they informed their landlord about the alleged incidents.

According to their update, the landlord asked the neighbours to vacate the premises within three to four days. The women said they had temporarily moved to another PG accommodation for their safety until the neighbours left.

But many people cannot name the shortest river in Telangana. We look at the top three shortest rivers that flow through the state.

The Paleru river stands as one of the main rivers in Telangana. This river has a total length of about 145 kilometers. It travels a very short distance compared to the massive rivers in the state. The Paleru river originates in the Warangal region and flows through the Nalgonda and Khammam districts. Alluri Sitarama Raju, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, Guntur, Bapatla, and Nellore districts will experience light to moderate rains with scattered lightning.

The remaining districts in the state might also see light to moderate scattered rainfall. Some places will get rain, while other areas will remain dry.

APSDMA has warned farmers, agricultural laborers, and cattle herders to stay alert because of the lightning risk. People must avoid open spaces when thunderstorms begin. Taking shelter under trees or near electric poles is dangerous. The authority has advised citizens to stay safe.

Some areas will see heavy to very heavy rainfall until October 21, and the rains might continue after that. Weather forecasts indicate that Chennai and its surrounding areas will feel the rain impact until October 22.

People must follow certain safety measures because of the rain forecasts in the Telugu states and Tamil Nadu.

CCTV Shows Man Removing Tyre With Wrench

The CCTV footage shows the man arriving at the spot on a scooter and parking near the Thar. He appears to sit on his scooter and look at his phone before approaching the vehicle to remove the spare tyre attached to its rear.

Using an L-shaped lug wrench, the man begins loosening the bolts. He repeatedly returns to his scooter, appears to check his phone and looks around before resuming his task.

The footage shows him taking nearly 5 minutes to loosen the bolts and detach the tyre. At one point, two men on scooters pass through the area. The alleged thief stops and returns to his scooter and pretends to look at his phone, seemingly to avoid attracting their attention.

After they pass, he approaches the Thar again and continues removing the tyre. Once it is detached, he takes it away on his scooter.

The footage appears to show the man carrying out the theft despite the activity on the road. However, his identity and whether he has been identified by the police remain unclear.

A 29-year-old software employee from Telangana's Suryapet district died after allegedly jumping from the 30th floor of Golf Edge Apartments in Hyderabad’s Nanakramguda area on Monday night, police said. The deceased, identified as Uppala Bharat, worked at a software company in Bengaluru. He had reportedly arrived in Hyderabad to meet a friend and was staying at the apartment complex, where he had moved into a rented flat two days before the incident.

Bharat Falls On Parked Car

According to the information available, Bharat fell onto a Hyundai WagonR parked inside the apartment complex. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The incident took place in Nanakramguda on Monday night. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Police Recover Suicide Note

An official from Gachibowli Police Station said police recovered a note purportedly written by Bharat. In the note, he reportedly apologised to his parents but did not mention a specific reason for his death.

The case was registered following a complaint lodged by his relative, Uppala Kishore. Police have initiated an investigation to establish the circumstances leading to the incident.

Bharat’s body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem examination. Further investigation is underway.

The weather in the Telugu states has changed suddenly. A cyclonic circulation over North Tamil Nadu and South Coastal Andhra, along with a trough stretching to the Northwest Bay of Bengal, has triggered this massive weather shift.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rains across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the next three days. The administration is on high alert because thunderstorms and gusty winds blowing at 30 to 50 kmph will hit the region.

The Northeast monsoon is showing a strong impact on Andhra Pradesh. Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions are receiving widespread rainfall. Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Bapatla, Prakasam, and Nellore districts will see scattered rain with thunderstorms.

Officials have warned fishermen not to venture into the sea because gusty winds at 40 to 50 kmph, peaking at 60 kmph, will make the sea very rough. Chittoor, Tirupati, YSR Kadapa, and Annamayya districts will also experience heavy rains with lightning strikes.

The Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert for several districts in Telangana. The IMD stated that Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Rangareddy districts will receive moderate to heavy rainfall in isolated places. Officials have advised people to stay alert because wind speeds will reach 30 to 40 kmph during this time.

Hyderabad city is experiencing mild cold winds and fog in the morning, while afternoon temperatures are touching 32 to 33 degrees Celsius due to the hot sun. The sky will turn cloudy after the afternoon, and areas like LB Nagar, Uppal, Dilsukhnagar, Kukatpally, and Gachibowli will see light to moderate showers with thunderstorms by evening or night.

Traffic police have requested commuters to take precautions as the rain might cause severe traffic jams on the roads. The disaster management department has strictly warned citizens not to stand under trees and large hoardings to avoid lightning strikes.

Crops have reached the harvesting stage in many areas right now. These sudden rains, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, are causing huge worry for the farmers.

Schools will welcome students back on October 22 and 23. This gives Telangana students 13 days and Andhra Pradesh students 12 days of vacation. But what is the holiday scene for employees? We break down the exact number of days government and private offices will stay closed.

Telangana employees get more Dasara holidays compared to Andhra Pradesh. People in Telangana celebrate Bathukamma on a grand scale, making Dasara a major festival season. The government has declared October 18 (Sunday) as a holiday for Saddula Bathukamma. Employees can take an optional paid leave on October 19 (Monday) for Mahar Navami. October 20 (Tuesday) is a general holiday for Vijayadasami. The government has also declared October 21 (Wednesday) as an official holiday.

Private Employee Holidays

Private IT and corporate employees already have their weekend off on October 17 (Saturday) and October 18 (Sunday). They also get a holiday on October 20 (Tuesday). Private employees can just take a leave on October 19 (Monday) to enjoy a long four-day weekend with their families.

Andhra Pradesh students have holidays until October 21, which is one day less than Telangana students. Similarly, Andhra Pradesh employees also get fewer festival holidays. The government has declared October 18 (Sunday) as an official holiday for Durgashtami. Employees get another holiday on October 20 (Tuesday) for Vijayadasami. Government employees get these two days off, but they are not continuous. However, IT and corporate employees will get a three-day break because they already have their weekend off starting October 17 (Saturday).

Educational institutions in Telangana have official Dasara holidays from October 12 to October 22. Students also get the preceding weekend off, as October 10 is a second Saturday and October 11 is a Sunday. These two weekend days push the total holiday count to 13 days. Andhra Pradesh students get one holiday less than Telangana students. Their holidays also start on October 10 but end on October 21. Schools in Andhra Pradesh will reopen on October 22, giving students a total of 12 days off.
