He described the movie as hard-hitting, gripping, and powerful, believing it will be considered among Bollywood's finest. It reminds ordinary Indians of the sacrifices made for freedom and its value. Viewers leaving the theater were emotional, with teary eyes, praising the film and expressing anger against the British. Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan's performances received widespread acclaim. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Moved by the Film

Kesari Chapter 2 had special screenings in various locations. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said she was deeply moved while watching the film. A night premiere was held the night before release for some of Akshay's fans, who were interviewed for their reviews. Many were seen with tears in their eyes.

Many films have been made about the atrocities of British rule, mostly based on freedom fighters. Kesari Chapter 2 can be considered the first film to challenge the British through their own legal system, exposing their unjust rule to the world.

From Akshay Kumar's wife and author Twinkle Khanna to Ananya Panday's parents Chunky and Bhavana, many came to watch the historical courtroom drama and cheer for the entire team of 'Kesari 2'.

Both Akshay and Twinkle walked hand in hand as they happily posed for the shutterbugs.

This sequel will delve into the lesser-known story surrounding the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay Kumar will take on the role of C Sankaran Nair, the prominent lawyer and freedom fighter. Joining him in the cast are R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday.

The original Kesari, released in 2019, depicted the heroic tale of the Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers from the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army bravely fought against approximately 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen in 1897. Actress Parineeti Chopra played a significant role in the first installment.

Nushrratt Bharrucha, who played the lead role in the hit film Dream Girl, recently opened up about being replaced by Ananya Panday in the sequel, Dream Girl 2. In a candid interview, Nushrratt admitted that the decision hurt her deeply, especially since she was not part of her own sequel. She described the move as "just not cool," reflecting her disappointment over the casting change.

She said, “It hurt me even more when I was not a part of my own sequel also. Every other actor was the same, except the girl, which I felt was not cool na, guys? It’s just not cool. Theek hai, no problem."

Pre-production is already underway, with dialogue written by Abbas Tyrewala, famed for War 2, and a musical soundtrack created by the acclaimed Anirudh Ravichander, who has already began work on the film.

Guns and Gulaabs was awarded the Best Series title (Critics' Choice), while The Railway Men was crowned the winner of the Best Series Award. Through her performance in Heermandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Manisha Koirala was recognised as the best female actor in a drama series and received the prize. Gagan Dev Riar won Best Actor (Male) award in a Drama Series.

Ananya Panday previously appeared in Amazon Prime Video's web series Call Me Bae. It was about a wealthy girl who became destitute. After being shunned by her family for cheating on her spouse, Bella relocates to Mumbai and begins a new life of struggle. But she learns and matures, and finally realises her aspirations.
 

The actress seems to be in high spirits, embracing a lighthearted and goofy vibe that reflects her fun personality. Ananya's caption for the post read, "Why you may ask, watch CTRL on Friday to find out (sic)," hinting at an exciting reveal once the film premieres.
