n a shocking incident reflecting extortion tactics in the guise of festive celebrations, a local kulfi shop in Vadodara’s Chokhandi area was allegedly ransacked, and a trader was assaulted by a group of youths after a dispute escalated over a Ganesh Chaturthi festival donation demand.

In a video that went viral on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), a group of aggressive youths can be seen vandalising the establishment, hurling objects, and destroying property inside the store while confronting the terrified staff and owner. The issue stemmed from the shopkeeper’s refusal to pay INR 21,000 as a donation for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

The celebration of Ganesh Utsav began in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and parts of western India, starting on September 14, and will continue for several days, with devotees organising processions, cultural programmes and community celebrations across the regions.

Also Read: Ganesh Chaturthi celebrated with fervour; Bengal pandals go political

Vadodara’s Ganpati Chanda Dispute Escalates

As Ganapathi celebrations have kicked off on Monday, several groups have been collecting donations, commonly referred to as ‘chanda’, from local businesses and residents to fund pandals and festivities. However, the incident in Vadodara has put the spotlight on allegations of forced donations.

In CCTV footage, which spread across social media, a group of young people was seen confronting the shopkeeper at the Rajasthan Kulfi Store after he expressed his inability to pay a steep amount of money as demanded by them and instead offered a modest contribution. The refusal sparked an argument which rapidly escalated, resulting in vandalism of the property and assault on the trader.

According to local reports, the group allegedly demanded INR 21,000 from him, but when the owner offered a smaller sum of INR 1,000, citing his financial capacity, the youths turned aggressive, forcing their way into the premises and damaging equipment.

Vadodara - A dispute over Ganpati festival donations in Vadodara’s Chokhandi area turned violent after a group of youths allegedly forced their way into a shop and vandalised it when the trader refused to pay a large contribution. The aggrieved trader filed a complaint with Wadi Police Station, and authorities have reportedly initiated a thorough investigation into the matter using the viral CCTV footage to identify and take strict legal action against the culprits.

The business owners and traders have raised concerns over extortion and the rising trend of coercive donation drives tarnishing the community spirit of public celebrations.

Social Media Users Slam ‘Extortion’ in the Name of Ganpati Chanda

The viral video of a group of youths aggressively demanding money from the kulfi shopkeeper and allegedly vandalising the establishment has triggered strong reactions on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), with netizens condemning the alleged forced collection of Ganpati chanda.

Taking to their X handles, many users criticised the alleged forced donation demand, with some calling the INR 21,000 collection’“extortion’ and questioning the practice of pressuring traders to contribute to religious festivities.

A heartwarming video from Hyderabad, Telangana is winning praise online after a car showroom owner noticed two young children admiring a Lamborghini from outside and invited them in for a closer look. The clip shows a brother and sister, apparently around six or seven years old, posing happily beside a black Lamborghini parked outside a showroom. Their father can be seen clicking pictures as the children lean towards the luxury car, clearly thrilled by the moment. And what happened next made the video even more special.
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Nishant Saboo (@saboonishant)

Kids invited inside showroom

Seeing their excitement, the showroom owner asked his staff to invite the children inside so they could take more pictures with other Lamborghini. The two immediately walked in with huge smiles and began posing beside the supercars.

The boy appeared especially fascinated. At one point, he tried to pose alone beside a blue Lamborghini, while his sister repeatedly came into the frame. He also pointed towards the Lamborghini logo, looked closely at the car and appeared curious about its interior.

Both children were also seen inspecting the tyres, windows before continuing their little showroom tour.

'Pure joy' wins hearts online

The video was shared by the showroom owner with the caption 'The PURE JOY of kids clicking pictures with Lamborghini's in KAVACA Hyderabad showroom'.

He also said that seeing their excitement for supercars was special and promised to give them a Lamborghini ride on their next visit.

The gesture quickly struck a chord with social media users.

One person wrote, "God make sure one day they will be the owner of those cars." Another said, "That boy will buy that one day."

A viewer praised the showroom team, saying they were happy with the way the staff treated the children and thanked them for making their wish come true.

Others focused on the innocence of the moment. One comment read, "Never say no to innocent smiles."

Another user joked about the playful sibling dynamic as the sister kept entering her brother's solo frame.

Beautifully indeed, the charm of the video is in the simplicity of two children stopping for a photograph and a small act of kindness turning that moment into an experience they are unlikely to forget.

A woman’s video explaining strict waste disposal practices in Kerala has gone viral on social media, with many users praising the system and saying similar rules should be adopted across India. The woman shared the video on Instagram with the caption: “At first, these rules felt too much… but now I get it.” She suggested that such practices could be one of the reasons Kerala is known for its clean surroundings and natural beauty.
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Ramalakshmi Uppuluri (@thindi_n_trippulu)

Seafood waste must be stored before collection

In the video, the woman explained that seafood waste cannot simply be handed over for collection like ordinary household rubbish.

According to her, leftover seafood and similar organic waste must first be properly stored and frozen. Only then do local waste collection authorities accept it.

The woman initially found the rule inconvenient but said she gradually understood the reason behind it. Freezing such waste can help prevent foul smells and make storage and collection more manageable.

However, the practice appears to vary across different parts of the state. In the comments section, the creator said the rule was compulsory in her residential area of Kariyavattom in Thiruvananthapuram.

Social media users praise waste segregation

The video quickly triggered a wider discussion about waste management and cleanliness.

One user wrote that they were happy to see at least some places in India taking waste segregation seriously. Another compared the practice with waste management systems followed in Japan and said more cities should consider similar measures.

Several users praised Kerala for its cleanliness, while others questioned whether such systems were followed uniformly across the state.

One commenter pointed out that waste collection facilities can differ depending on the locality, claiming that rubbish management remained a challenge in some areas.

What happens to seafood waste?

The comments also sparked curiosity about what happens to seafood waste after collection.

One social media user claimed that such waste can be processed for different purposes, including fish feed, organic fertiliser and biogas. Others suggested that biodegradable kitchen waste could also be composted and used as manure for plants and trees.

The viral video has therefore done more than highlight one local rule. It has opened up a larger conversation about how households handle organic waste and why proper segregation is important.

Despite his efforts to resolve the payment issue, the seller was left with no choice but to take the remaining bags to the roadside and try to sell them directly to customers.

In a viral video, a bag seller was seen weeping bitterly on the road, pleading to passersby to purchase his goods while recounting how the broken agreement had drained his savings and left him helpless on the street.
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by INDIAN Clarity (@indianclarity)

The entire incident has captured the vulnerability and financial risks faced by small-scale sellers when bulk orders are cancelled or payments are not made as agreed, leaving them to bear the burden of unsold stock and losses.

No Action Against Kota Group

The group has reportedly been identified as the Kota Tent Association, whose representatives had placed the large-scale order before allegedly walking away from the remaining balance and leaving the vendor stranded with massive overhead costs.

Despite a severe financial setback, the vendor didn’t file a formal complaint with local police and thus, no First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against the group, which reportedly means no formal criminal case has been registered over the alleged payment dispute so far. However, the vendor was threatened by the organisers over his attempts to recover the outstanding payment.

It was reported that the Kota Tent Association would withhold his remaining payment if the bag seller continued to press for the outstanding amount. However, there has been no official statement from the association regarding these allegations yet.

Netizens across social media platforms are heavily tagging the local authorities to take appropriate action against the Kota group for their alleged mistreatment, demanding a thorough investigation into the payment dispute and immediate support for the distressed vendor.

Also Read: ‘Where Does All My Money Go?’ Rs 3 Lakh-Earning Man Explains Why He Still Feels Broke (WATCH VIRAL VIDEO)

A few expressed anger while others laughed at the utter absurdity of the situation.

The firefighters were visibly caught in an awkward situation as they were unable to take any immediate action to extinguish the burning vehicle, which took place on a busy road in Nagpur.

Also Read: Gen Z Hero Cleans Polluted MP River, Before-After Transformation Wins Hearts: 'Sirf Videos Nahi Banaye, Kaam Bhi Kiya'

How Did the Incident Take Place?

A busy street in Nagpur witnessed an unexpected emergency on Thursday when a parked electric scooter suddenly caught fire. Within moments, the vehicle was engulfed in thick smoke and aggressive flames, rapidly transforming into a charred heap of metal on the paved road.

The locals alarmed the fire department immediately, expecting a quick response to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby shops and vehicles. The fire engine immediately pulled up, giving a sense of relief to the onlookers. However, that relief was short-lived. To everyone’s disbelief, the firefighters opened the valves only to realize that the tender’s water tank was empty.

Left completely helpless, the emergency crew could not do anything as the scooter continued to burn down to its frame in broad daylight. The incident was recorded on a mobile phone, and bystanders allegedly mocked the firefighters for their extreme unpreparedness, asking how a fully staffed emergency unit could respond to an active fire call without any water.

The fire brigade made record time to the scene, sirens wailing with unmatched urgency, only to reveal their grand firefighting strategy: an oversized red van, a squad of confused men, and not a single drop of water. It turns out the fire truck was operating on a strictly… pic.twitter.com/ht1LyM8Jat

— Dont Be Afraid (@RebelVista31) September 3, 2026

The fire brigade had no other option but to leave the scene without extinguishing the fire, while the vehicle was completely consumed by the flames. Not the entire vehicle was damaged before the fire brigade arrived, but the scooter was eventually engulfed in flames after the tender’s pump failed to discharge water due to a technical fault.

Netizens React to Fire Engine Arriving Without Water

The viral video of a fire engine appearing unable to douse an electric scooter fire sparked outrage on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter), with users questioning the preparedness of the emergency services.

Taking to their X handles, many users expressed anger and disbelief over the incident, with some questioning how a fire tender could reach an emergency spot without being immediately capable of spraying water. Some resorted to sarcasm and dark humour, while several users criticised the preparedness and maintenance of emergency vehicles.

However, others joked that it may have been used to wash politicians’ or VIPs’ vehicles, while another sarcastically suggested that the fire engine itself should have been set ablaze so another tender could be called to the spot.

Fire Brigade without water?A fire engine arriving at an emergency without sufficient water is not a minor lapse, it is gross negligence and a serious failure of governance. The most basic responsibility is to keep every emergency vehicle fully equipped, maintained and ready…

— Manjunath U (@manjunath640) September 3, 2026

It happens only in India https://t.co/OAU6tc1FsJ

— ~Fahad~ (@fahadkhan_India) September 3, 2026

Wate must be utilised to wash neta's cars that's why they have no water. https://t.co/aZUCTWjuXu

— desh_ki_voice (@desh_ki_voice) September 3, 2026

They should have torched the truck as well so other fire truck could come and douse both the fires https://t.co/LSZFlkaiCl

— LoneWolf India (UC) (@lonewolfIndia_1) September 3, 2026

Maybe they used it for Ethanol mixing. The vehicle seems to be from Maharashtra.

— Martin Henry (@AllwellMartin) September 3, 2026

The water must’ve been utilized to wash some babu’s VIP car

— pandaluvsgreens (@pandaluvsg75601) September 3, 2026

We need to shut down this bloated bureaucracy and privatise all utilities.

Want an iPhone 17? Getting the best deal today means watching offers from India's top retailers like a hawk. Shoppers are finding the A19-powered base iPhone 17 well below its launch price. Croma often shows the lowest prices, with Flipkart and Amazon close behind. This guide shows how to use bank discounts, exchange values, and special sales to snag your next iPhone for less.

September 19, 2025 — that's when the iPhone 17 series first arrived. The lineup includes standard, Air, Pro, and Pro Max models. The 256GB base model launched at ₹82,900. Since then, online and offline stores offered many discounts and bundles.

Croma Takes the Lead with Aggressive Offers

Croma recently showed some of the strongest pricing for the iPhone 17. In June 2026, during its 'Everything Apple Sale', Croma offered the 256GB iPhone 17 for an amazing effective price: just ₹44,768. How? Croma combined a 2% coupon, up to ₹23,500 in exchange value, an extra ₹8,000 exchange bonus, and Tata Neu coins worth up to ₹4,974. That's a big discount.

August 2026 brought more Croma deals. Without an exchange, Croma sold the iPhone 17 for ₹71,500. They did this by combining a 4% Airtel app discount with a 10% Tata Neu Infinity Plus cashback and other store offers. Croma's Independence Day sale in August 2026 also lowered iPhone 17 Pro effective prices to ₹75,900. It showed Croma's strong pricing. Buyers also found the iPhone 17 Pro from ₹77,900, with up to 42% off and EMI options then.

Flipkart's Competitive Edge with Bank and Exchange Deals

Flipkart stays a key player — especially with bank offers and trade-ins. Currently, Flipkart lists the 256GB iPhone 17 at ₹80,900. That's a small drop from its original price. But use an eligible Flipkart Axis Bank or Flipkart SBI credit card, and the price drops to ₹78,067. That's a ₹4,833 saving.

Exchange offers give the big benefit. Trade in an old device, like an iPhone 13 (128GB) in top shape. You can receive up to ₹22,250 in exchange value. Combine that with bank offers, and the iPhone 17's net price drops to ₹53,817. For the iPhone 17 Pro, Flipkart applied a flat ₹5,000 price cut, listing it at ₹1,29,900 (down from ₹1,34,900). Additional bank discounts further reduce the Pro model's effective price to ₹1,20,900, while the Pro Max reaches ₹1,35,900 with maximum bank offers.

Amazon's Dynamic Pricing and Past Offers

Amazon doesn't push specific recent deals for the base iPhone 17 as much. But the platform offered big discounts in the past, particularly on Pro models. In October 2025, Amazon offered the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro for ₹70,155. This deal combined a large trade-in value (up to ₹58,000) with an additional discount for Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card users.

These pricing tactics — coupons and bank discounts — show Amazon stays a place for future deals. But availability fluctuates. Some reports said Amazon didn't have the iPhone 17 during its Great Summer Sale in May 2026.

Making an Informed Purchase: What to Consider

Making an informed choice demands scrutiny. The current market gives you compelling chances to save on an iPhone 17. The price differences between Flipkart, Amazon, and Croma often come from direct discounts, specific bank tie-ups, and varying exchange policies. Croma often offers good bundled deals and cashback, while Flipkart is strong with credit card and trade-in incentives. Amazon's deals — when active — are very competitive, especially on Pro variants. Always cross-reference offers. Pay close attention to eligibility for bank cards, the condition of your trade-in device, and the exact terms and conditions of each promotion.

An infographic would show these prices clearly. It could detail base prices, bank discounts, exchange values, and final costs across Flipkart, Amazon, and Croma. That would really help buyers choose.

The two were pulled apart, preventing the confrontation from turning even more violent, right outside the security guards' cabin.

The shocking incident was captured on video, showing planning committee chairman Sambhaji Shinde and contractor Bharat Navgire engaged in a heated exchange before the situation violently boiled over.

Also Read: Maharashtra Tragedy: Star Wrestler’s Final Moments With Kids Leave Family Devastated!

How did the Incident Unfold at the Badlapur Civic Office?

The contractor, Bharat Navgire, who is also serves as a Shiv Sena local leader, and BJP councillor and planning committee chairman Sambhaji Shinde were spotted discussing the entrance of the municipal council building, situated right near the security guards' cabin.

The discussion appeared to have turned into a heated altercation between the two leaders before Navgire allegedly grabbed Shinde's arm, aggressively pushed him forward, and caused him to stumble, causing him to tumble down the steps, where he struck his head against the door of a parked car.

However, the bystanders, including NCP leader Anivash Deshmukh, immediately helped Sambhaji Shinde up and intervened to separate the two individuals. At the same time, the security guards pulled Bharat Navgire away from continuing their physical assault, ensuring that both men sustained only minor injuries in the chaotic melee.
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by MH05 MEDIA (@mh05media)

The BJP councillor Sambhaji Shinde was taken to Badlapur Rural Sub-District Hospital for treatment, where he was reportedly found to have sustained injuries to his head, neck and back.

The force of the push by Bharat Navgire was so powerful that Shinde lost his footing completely, tumbled down the stairs, and suffered injuries that required immediate treatment at the civic hospital in Badlapur.

Navgire Accuses Shinde of Withholding His Pending Bills

Speaking on the shocking incident at Kulgaon-Badlapur Municipal Council, Shambaji Shinde stated that the discussion with Bharat Navgire had initially started on peaceful terms before rapidly deteriorating into an altercation. The BJP councillor further added that he would file an FIR against Navgire for physical assault.

“I told him that I have no role in processing his bills. The discussion initially began peacefully but suddenly turned into an altercation," Shinde said.

Conversely, Bharat Navgire claimed that his financial clearances were deliberately blocked following politically motivated allegations of corruption against him, alleging that the withheld payments were tied to electoral rivalries after his sister-in-law contested and lost against Shinde as a Shiv Sena candidate.

The incident has reportedly brought to the attention of the civic body the safety and security arrangements, as well as concerns over the safety of elected representatives. Meanwhile, Kulgaon-Badlapur Municipal Council is headed by BJP leader Ruchita Ghorpade, who was directly elected as the municipal president.

Also Read: Maha FDA issues new order to curb food adulteration during festivals

In a hilarious yet nerve-wracking moment caught on camera, a young woman attempting the popular ‘phone stick’ trend at a bustling metro station nearly lost her device to the transit system's automated doors.

The ‘Phone Stick’ has become the latest trend among the younger generation of content creators eager to capture cinematic, moving-shot transitions for their social media feeds. Armed with extended selfie sticks or magnetic mounts, users routinely plant their devices dangerously close to transit tracks or platform edges to record sleek, fast-paced videos of themselves.

The trend has been taking over feeds across Instagram Reels, with influencers and creators finding increasingly creative and often risky ways to film their daily commutes. However, the trend’s growing popularity has also raised concerns over safety, as creators often risk their phones and personal safety for the perfect shot.

Also Read: Florida Auto Shop Goes Viral For Car Audio Setup So Powerful It Makes Ears Flap

Girl’s Phone Stick Goes Wrong

As ‘Phone Stick ' has become a trending phenomenon, the clips of mishaps and near-misses have started circulating on social media, and one such video has grabbed the internet's attention, showing just how fast a creative concept can turn into a comic disaster at a metro station.

In the footage, the young woman was seen positioning her phone right along the sliding door to capture a sleek entry transition. However, instead of the smooth cinematic shot that so many creators pull off online, her timing went comically wrong as the metro doors slid back open, trapping the device between the doors.

The young woman visibly panicked, fearing she might either lose her phone or shatter its screen against the moving metal mechanism. Fortunately, her panic was short-lived, as the train doors slid back to close a few seconds later, releasing the device completely unscathed.
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Updating India™ (@updating.india)

Since the trend has taken centre stage on social media, the young woman was apparently attempting to replicate the exact style of seamless transition videos that routinely rack up millions of views across Instagram Reels.

Though the girl managed to retrieve her phone without a single scratch, the clip has quickly become a cautionary tale and a fan-favourite viral moment.

Delhi Metro Issues Warning Over ‘Phone Stick’

Meanwhile, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has already issued strict warnings against performing such risky stunts on transit grounds, stating that the transit authority noted that fixing or pasting mobile devices to train windows, doors, and tracks is strictly prohibited on metro premises.

"The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has noticed that some social media content creators are pasting their mobile phones on the Metro train windows and shooting videos with the moving train," the statement read.

"This act can cause inconvenience or even Injury to other passengers and can damage the mobile phone devices of the users."

"DMRC authorities are viewing this with all seriousness, and if any content creator is caught indulging in such a shoot, necessary action shall be taken."

"Therefore, the content creators are hereby directed to not shoot such videos within the Delhi Metro premises," the DMRC added.
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (@officialdmrc)

The ‘Phone Stick’ trend has started in a major way across Indian transit networks, transforming busy platforms into impromptu low-budget film sets.

Also Read: Woman Spends Rs 1000 on Toy for Auto Driver’s Son, Says 'Best Money I’ve Ever Spent'; Internet Reacts

The student’s energetic performance to the Oscar-winning song quickly became the highlight of the event,

In a viral video, a specially-abled student, who was in his school uniform, performed energetically to the ‘Naatu Naatu' song from the blockbuster movie RRR, including the iconic steps of the track while matching the rhythm and inspiring everyone present.

In a viral clip that set social media ablaze over the weekend, a woman was seen offering a plate of biryani to Lord Krishna. The video surfaced online on the occasion of Janmashtami, which fell on Friday, September 4.

In the video, a woman was seen feeding biryani to a Lord Krishna idol, prompting speculation that she was offering chicken biryani as prasad on Janmashtami, which is celebrated across the country with immense devotion and strict adherence to vegetarian offerings. One user wrote, ‘Lord Krishna served with Chicken Biryani on Janmashtami?’, while others questioned the authenticity of the claim and called for the matter to be investigated.

However, some users appeared to mock the alleged offering, with one X user writing, “Save Hinduism from Hindus truly. Since the colour of the biryani and the pieces of food visible in the plate made several users speculate that it contained chicken.

Did Woman Offer Chicken Biryani to Lord Krishna?

The video has grabbed attention online, especially after the claim that the woman was offering chicken biryani to Lord Krishna spread widely across social media. However, the speculations that the woman offered chicken biryani to Lord Krishna are misleading.

The video is from December 2023 and is believed to have resurfaced with misleading context on the occasion of Janmashtami. The original creator of the video, Mouli Chakraborty, a makeup artist and YouTuber, clarified at the time that the food being offered to Lord Krishna and the deities was entirely vegetarian.

“This biryani was made from potatoes and paneer. I was feeding rice with potatoes and paneer to the deities. In fact, we had uploaded 2-3 videos clearly showing that it was made with potatoes and paneer.” Mouli said on her YouTube channel, ‘Shampa Chakraborty’.

Therefore, the viral claim that a woman offered chicken biryani to Lord Krishna on Janmashtami is false. The dish shown in the video was a vegetarian preparation made with potatoes and paneer, while the old video has resurfaced with misleading context.

Since the unverified claim has sparked outrage among social media users, it is important to verify the original context of the video before drawing conclusions about the woman or the food being offered.

Also Read: Viral Video: Woman Breaks Down After Delhi PG Collapse (WATCH)

Union Finance Minister and BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman grabbed attention at the convocation ceremony of Dr. M.G.R. However, the Union Finance Minister’s reaction to a welcome video made for her ahead of the event caught everyone’s attention at the venue.

Reportedly, over 3,500 graduating students across various streams were present at the event to receive their convocation degrees, making the occasion a monumental milestone for the young cohort and their families.

Also Read: Education is a steadfast companion, unlike wealth: Sitharaman to grads

Nirmala Stops Her Own Welcome Video

As Dr. M.G.R. Police said no other injuries had been reported in connection with the incident.

Detective Sergeant Taigh Lannie said officers understood the incident would have been alarming for people in the area and sought to reassure the community that police had responded quickly, reported local media.

Police seek witnesses and footage

West Mercia Police have appealed to people who may have witnessed the incident or recorded it to come forward.

Officers are particularly seeking dashcam, CCTV, mobile phone and doorbell footage from Court Street, Park Way and High Street around the time of the incident.

Police said such recordings could help establish what happened during the confrontation and the subsequent journey of the bus.

Viral video sparks angry reactions online

The footage of the assault triggered strong reactions online, with several users expressing anger over the attack and questioning why some people appeared to film rather than intervene.

Other comments went beyond the incident itself and turned into arguments about race, immigration and multiculturalism in the UK. Some users made sweeping claims about particular ethnic or migrant groups, while others pushed back against those comments.

One commenter stressed that crime and violence should not be attributed to a person's race, religion or ethnicity, arguing that the focus should remain on the alleged criminal conduct.

The online discussion has therefore extended well beyond the police investigation. However, the circumstances of the incident remain subject to the ongoing inquiry.

Police also urged anyone with relevant footage to share it with investigators. The arrested man's identity and any potential charges have not been confirmed by police at this stage.

West Mercia Police said enquiries are continuing as officers work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the assault, the taking of the bus and the subsequent collisions.

A teacher’s Day celebration at a school in Rajasthan has won hearts online for all the right reasons. Instead of expensive presents, students gifted their teacher simple things from their homes, including a milk bottle, sponge gourd, lemons, pens and handmade cards made from pages of their school notebooks. The teacher shared the video on social media with an emotional caption in Hindi, saying that the respect and love shown by his students made him feel as though God himself had come to spread happiness on Earth.
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Mahaveer Pankaj (@mahaveerpankaj1816)

From vegetables to handmade cards

The video shows students presenting their Teacher’s Day gifts one by one. The presents are strikingly simple, with several appearing to be everyday household items rather than something bought specially for the occasion.

Among the gifts were a bottle of milk, sponge gourd, some lemons and pens. Students also made cards using sheets from their school notebooks, adding a personal touch to the celebration.

For many viewers, however, it was the teacher’s reaction to the gifts that made the video particularly touching.

Teacher touches every gift to his forehead

As his students handed him their presents, the teacher was seen touching each one to his forehead before accepting it.

The gesture was widely interpreted by viewers as a sign of gratitude, affection and respect for the children and their families. Rather than focusing on the monetary value of the presents, the teacher appeared to value the feelings behind them.

The simple exchange struck a chord with social media users, many of whom said the video captured the special bond between a teacher and his students.

'These are not things, they are love'

The comments section was filled with praise for both the students and their teacher.

One user recalled taking homemade items to their own teacher, writing that the video had brought back memories of an earlier time.

Another praised the teacher for placing the gifts respectfully against his forehead, saying the gesture showed that he was truly a good teacher.

Some viewers suggested that the teacher may have asked his students not to buy anything and instead bring whatever was available at home. They described the idea as a thoughtful way of celebrating Teacher’s Day without putting financial pressure on families.

Several users highlighted the children’s background, with one comment noting that they were children of poor farmers and had offered what they could with respect and affection.

“Organic gifts” and “Better than materialistic gifts” were among the reactions from viewers who appreciated the simplicity of the presents.

For others, the video served as a reminder that a meaningful gift does not have to be expensive. In this case, a few everyday items and handmade cards became a heartfelt expression of gratitude between students and their teacher.

Parikh’s lawyer now claims he may have been duped.

A Mumbai court has sent 24-year-old Rohan Premal Parikh to police custody until September 11 after he was arrested in connection with an alleged fake Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) identity card at Jio World Plaza in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).

His bodyguard, Dilip Rajaram Kunde, was also arrested after he was found carrying a licensed firearm. A third accused, Prathamesh Ganesh Bagul, is wanted in the case.

The two arrested accused have been identified as Rohan Premal Parikh (24) and Dilip Raja Kunde (49). They have been sent to Police custody till September 11. https://t.co/SqIWIn9RIe

— ANI (@ANI) September 8, 2026

But a new claim made in court has added another layer to the case: Parikh’s lawyer says his client may himself have been deceived by people posing as government officials.

Parikh, 24, is at the centre of the BKC fake PMO identity card case. Police allege that he used an identity card claiming he was a PMO official and tried to enter Jio World Plaza on September 7, a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to attend an event in the area.

Police said the card described Parikh as a 'Grade C' PMO official. Questions were raised about the document because it reportedly did not contain a validity date and lacked the designation of the person who had supposedly issued it.

— Rajesh kumar (@journorajeshk) September 8, 2026

Parikh's bodyguard Kunde also attempted to enter the premises but was stopped by a door-frame metal detector because he was carrying a firearm. Police later confirmed that the weapon was licensed.

According to police, Parikh reached Jio World Plaza on the evening of September 7 and entered the premises. When security personnel stopped his associate because of the firearm, Parikh returned and showed the alleged PMO identity card.

The discrepancies in the card raised suspicion, following which the matter was reported to the police. The Mumbai Crime Branch is now investigating the case, including the origin of the alleged fake identity card and the purpose behind using it.

An FIR was registered at BKC police station under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including allegations relating to impersonation and unlawful entry while armed.

This is the biggest new question in the case.

During Tuesday's court hearing, Parikh's lawyer claimed that his client had been offered work connected with the PMO in 2024 by a person named Tarun Kapoor, according to a report by Aaj Tak. The defence said Parikh received what appeared to be official communications, including an offer letter, an identity card and a letter purportedly bearing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's signature.

His lawyer also claimed Parikh received an email allegedly linked to an Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister and communications concerning an advisory role and defence acquisition policy.

The defence argued that these documents may have convinced Parikh that he genuinely had a government-related role and that he could have been conned himself.

The lawyer said the documents and communications available with Parikh had been handed over to investigators.

These claims are currently part of the defence's case and have not been established by the police or a court.

Parikh's lawyer has also given an explanation for his presence at the venue.

According to the defence, Parikh went to the mall for personal reasons, allegedly to buy perfume for his fiancée, and his visit was not connected to Prime Minister Modi's scheduled event. Police have also clarified that the September 7 incident had no established connection with the Prime Minister's visit on September 8.

The police investigation will determine whether the alleged PMO identity was knowingly used by Parikh or whether he was genuinely misled by someone claiming to represent the government.

Rohan Parikh and Dilip Kunde remain in police custody until September 11, while investigators continue questioning them. Police are also looking for Prathamesh Bagul, the third wanted accused in the case.

The Crime Branch is examining the alleged identity card, electronic communications and other documents to establish where the credentials came from and whether others were involved.

Two competing versions remain: police allege that Parikh used a fake PMO identity to gain access to a private venue, while his defence says he may have been the target of a sophisticated fraud. The investigation will determine which version stands up to scrutiny.

(With inputs from agencies)
