Arbitrum surged over 45% on Sunday, extending a rally that has more than doubled the token over a week.

Under the Arbitrum Expansion Program, Arbitrum receives 10% of the net revenue from chains built on Arbitrum technology.

Open interest has since climbed from $110 million in August to more than $290 million, according to CoinGlass data.

Arbitrum (ARB) surged more than 45% on Sunday, extending a rally that has seen the token more than double in a week as Robinhood (HOOD) Chain generated around 240 times the fees of Arbitrum’s own network and traders priced in Arbitrum’s cut of that revenue.

DefiLlama data showed that Robinhood Chain attracted $2.9 million in chain fees over the 24 hours through Sunday, compared with $12,238 on Arbitrum’s own chain. Robinhood Chain has taken in roughly $10 million in fees over the last several days, including roughly $6 million on Friday. At that pace, nearly $1 million of that stretch alone was due to flow back to Arbitrum. Traders have pointed to the rising fee stream, and Arbitrum’s portion of it, as a reason behind the rally in ARB.

Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum (ETH) layer-2 network Robinhood launched in July, is built on Arbitrum’s technology. In the Arbitrum Expansion Program, participating chains have to pay 10% of the net protocol revenue to the Arbitrum ecosystem. 8% of that revenue goes to the ArbitrumDAO, and 2% goes to the Developer Guild.

ARB’s price was trading at $0.19 over the past 24 hours, with its market cap hitting $1.28 billion. The token is up about 120% over the past week. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around ARB remained in the ‘extremely bullish’ zone, while chatter around it shifted to ‘extremely high’ from ‘high’ over the past day.

Robinhood Chain Outpaces Arbitrum

The difference between the two networks was huge. Robinhood Chain’s total value locked (TVL), or the amount of crypto deposited in its apps, rose to $908.65 million on Sunday, up over 5% in 24 hours and from under $100 million in early July, according to DefiLlama data. The chain saw $1.36 billion in decentralized exchange (DEX) volume in the last 24 hours, and its stablecoin market cap was up over 25% in the last seven days to $964.57 million.

In comparison, Arbitrum’s native chain generated $12,238 in fees and $118.8 million in DEX volume during that timeframe, DefiLlama data showed. Its TVL was $1.41 billion, down from a high of more than $4 billion in late 2025.

Leverage Builds As Price Climbs

Arbitrum’s open interest (OI) also jumped past its August high, with the latest reading at about $255 million compared with $110 million in August. That spike meant that traders were building up a lot more leveraged exposure as ARB rallied, raising the stakes for both further upside and a possible liquidation-driven reversal. CoinGlass’s latest market data also showed open interest at over $290 million, reflecting the scale of the recent price increase.

What Traders Are Saying

Crypto analyst Satoshi Stacker noted that “the opportunities aren’t just in microcaps,” adding that “The three top-performing alts out of the top 100 are all related to Robinhood Chain activity today.”
    Source: @@StackerSatoshi/x
He also said that "there are new coins launching and hitting 10-50X here every day as the ecosystem takes off" and "activity metrics are seeing insane growth" on Robinhood Chain.
    Source: @StackerSatoshi/x
Wall Street macro analyst Jordi Visser said that the coming together of AI, crypto, and traditional banking is moving very quickly. He pointed to Robinhood Chain as a big deal as it meant that traditional financial analysts had to rethink Robinhood's growth chances in light of new ways to make money.
    Source: @jvisserlabs/x
But he said that mainstream media are missing out on many of the crypto tokens that are doing well because of the Robinhood Chain story. Visser told investors to learn more about the ecosystem as a whole, stating that the coming year might be characterized by the combination of AI, crypto, and traditional finance.

Read also: HYPE Hits Record High As Jane Street, UBS Among 30 Firms With $75M In ETF Exposure

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com<

The list provided a glimpse of who owned the funds that gave the regulated brokerage access to Hyperliquid, the token behind the decentralized derivatives exchange.
    Source: @JSeyff/x
HYPE reached an all-time high of over $88 on Thursday.

On Sunday, the token again hit a record high again as its price surged at around $88.60. HYPE’s price was up over 3% over the past 24 hours. On Stocktwits, it was the top trending ticker. Retail sentiment around HYPE remained in the ‘neutral’ zone, while chatter around it stayed at ‘high’ levels over the past day.
HYPE retail sentiment on Sept 6 as of 8:12 a.m. ET | Source: Stocktwits
Who Holds The Most?

The biggest holders on Seyffart's list were Wealth High Governance Asset Management with a $23.9 million exposure, followed by OLP Capital Management with $10.5 million, UBS with $7.5 million, Bank of Montreal with $6.7 million, and Jane Street with $4.4 million. The top five accounted for roughly 70% of the total.

Further down the list, Discovery Capital Management had $3.8 million, Brevan Howard $3.4 million, LJ Altfest & Co. $2.6 million, Balyasny $1.8 million, and Boothbay Fund Management $1.8 million. Market makers included Flow Traders and Virtu Financial, as well as VanEck, Cresset Asset Management, and HighTower Advisors.
Bitwise said that Bitcoin is increasingly trading like gold rather than a tech asset, strengthening its long-running “digital gold” case.

Bitwise said Bitcoin’s 90-day correlation with gold climbed to its highest level since 2020, while BTC gained 22.4% in one week and gold rose about 5%.

Its relationship with tech stocks weakened, with the 90-day correlation with the Nasdaq-100 falling to around 0.33, a one-year low.

The US Dollar Index moved in the opposite direction, while the Treasury prepares to increase some long-term bond buybacks.

Bitcoin (BTC) is beginning to show a shift in the way investors are trading it, building its case as a hedge against market turmoil similar to gold and moving further from its long-standing reputation as a high-risk asset. New research from Bitwise revealed that Bitcoin’s 90-day correlation with gold has reached its highest point since 2020, while its correlation with the Nasdaq-100 has fallen to a one-year low.

According to a memo from Bitwise Director and Head of Research André Dragosch, the change came during a volatile period in the global markets. According to the report, Bitcoin gained 22.4% over the past week, its strongest weekly performance since March 2024. In contrast, gold rose about 5% during the same period, while stocks continued to decline.

Bitcoin Starts Trading More Like Gold

At the same time, Bitcoin’s 90-day correlation with the Nasdaq-100 fell to a one-year low after dropping to around 0.33 in late August. According to Dragosch, it is notable since Bitcoin has often traded like a high-risk tech asset. Bitwise added that the latest data suggest that the relationship may now be weakening. Bitwise reported that Bitcoin’s 90-day correlation with the U.S. Dollar Index at -0.35 in late August.

The negative reading shows that the two tended to move in opposite directions over the period. The firm also added that Bitcoin and gold are not identical assets. Gold has a much longer history as a store of value, while Bitcoin is newer and has historically been more volatile.
Bitcoin has surged 30.63% over the past 3 months, far outpacing gold’s 2.62% gain, as both assets moved higher in August. Source: TradingView
Bitcoin has performed better than gold over the past three months, up 30.59% vs. gold’s 2.62%. Both assets gained in August, but BTC’s more aggressive rallies and selloffs reveal its much higher volatility. The chart shows Bitcoin participating in the same broader “debasement trade” as gold, while still acting more like a high risk asset.

Bitcoin’s price was trading at $79,978, below 3% in the last 24 hours. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around BTC remained in the ‘neutral’ zone, accompanied by ‘normal’ chatter levels over the past day.

XAUUSD’s price was trading at $4,429 at the time of writing. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around XAUUSD remained in the ‘bearish’ zone, accompanied by ‘high’ chatter levels over the past day.

Treasury Buybacks Put Liquidity In Focus

The research comes as the US Treasury prepares to increase some of its long-term bond buybacks. Treasury said it will increase the size of buybacks for 10- to 20-year and 20-to-30-year Treasury securities from $2 billion to at least $4 billion per operation, starting September 9.

The department said the move aims to provide more liquidity in longer-dated Treasury markets. Bitwise argued that periods of stronger government intervention and concerns about the value of traditional currencies could make Bitcoin more attractive alongside gold.

Read also: Zcash Flips HYPE As $2.4B Open Interest Raises The Stakes For Its Rally

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com<

Zcash overtook Hyperliquid as the ninth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, according to CoinGecko data.

ZEC traded above $1,100 but was still far below the all-time high it reached a decade earlier.

Open Interest in ZEC perpetuals hit a record of over $2 billion, with roughly $34 million in shorts liquidated.

Zcash (ZEC) jumped past Hyperliquid (HYPE) on Sunday to become the ninth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap, as a month-long rally in the privacy token showed no signs of slowing.

CoinGecko data showed that ZEC’s market cap soared to around $19.80 billion, surpassing HYPE’s $19.36 billion. Zcash’s price was up over 16% during the past 24 hours, trading at $1,170. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around ZEC remained in the ‘extremely bullish’ zone, while chatter around it stayed at ‘extremely high’ levels over the past day. The flip completed a breakout that began on Friday when ZEC topped $1,000 for the first time in a decade.

Still Far From Record

But even with the recent rally, ZEC remained far below its all-time high of $3,191, which it reached in October 2016. The gap, hence, raises a question not about whether ZEC can rise in price but whether it can hold the rally.
ZEC’s 14-day RSI hits 82 as the token surges above $1,100, trading more than 2.5 times its 200-day moving average. Source: Koyfin
Koyfin data suggested that the move was stretched. ZEC was trading at more than 2.5 times its 200-day simple moving average (SMA) of $449.40. The 200-day average was a common gauge of an asset's long-term trend, and a gap this wide above it usually signals a rally that has run ahead of itself.

Leverage Doing The Heavy Lifting

Open interest (OI) in ZEC perpetuals — the total value of open leveraged bets- hit a record high of roughly $2.4 billion on Friday, according to CoinGlass data. Open interest has tracked price almost exactly throughout the rally, a sign that new leveraged positions rather than spot buying alone have been driving the move.

The liquidation data also showed how leverage snowballed. CoinGlass showed a first wave of short liquidations of $25 million to $30 million a day around August 19 to 22, when the rally began to gain pace, followed by another batch of about $34 million in forced short closures in the latest session as ZEC pushed through $1,000. Each round of short covering took the price higher and attracted more leveraged longs behind it.

Overbought, And Vulnerable To A Reversal

ZEC’s 14-day relative strength index (RSI) was 82.18. RSI measures the speed of recent price moves on a scale of 0 to 100, with readings above 70 considered ‘overbought.’ ZEC at 82 was far above that line, indicating strong momentum but also a rally that is susceptible to a pullback.

Leverage at a record, the same crowding that squeezed shorts on the way up could turn just as fast. CoinGlass data showed the biggest single liquidation event of the year wasn’t a short squeeze but rather a long wipeout of about $67.6 million in early June as ZEC fell to around $380 after the Orchard vulnerability announcement. With open interest at an all-time high and the RSI overbought, a sharp reversal could trigger a similar cascade of long liquidations.

What Are Retail Traders Saying?
  View this Stocktwits post
One Stocktwits user said this was "no ordinary short squeeze," noting that "millions of dollars [were] being liquidated every hour as it [moved] higher," and that those liquidations "equate to buys." The user added that breaking $1,000 dissolved “any amount of near-term resistance, especially the psychological barrier that many thought it would face," calling the setup "a rare opportunity to make a ton of money on a free ride courtesy of overextended shorts."

Read also: Wall Street Veteran Jordi Visser Says Crypto Isn't A Binary Bet - It Doesn't Have To Be 'Worth A Million' To Be 'Worth Something'

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

The National Sheriffs’ Association moved from opposing the CLARITY Act to a neutral position after raising law enforcement and public safety concerns in July.

The group has questioned parts of the bill tied to DeFi, including registration, customer identity checks, anti-money laundering controls, and sanctions requirements.

NSA’s stance comes as the Senate prepares for a key procedural step on September 15.

The National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) has dropped its opposition to the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (CLARITY Act) and has adopted a more neutral stance, marking a clear shift from the concerns it raised just over a month ago.

In a letter on Thursday, the NSA said that it has changed its stance on the CLARITY Act. Though they described the bill as an “extraordinarily complex policy area,” they also acknowledged the work being done by Congress, the administration, and other stakeholders on the bill’s legal, regulatory, and enforcement issues.

The group added that several important details were still being considered, and therefore it changed its position from opposition to neutral and said it would step back while the legislative process continued.

Why The NSA Changed Its Stance

In a July letter, the NSA said it supported efforts to create clear rules for the digital-asset market. But it warned that parts of the bill still posed “significant law enforcement and public safety risks.”

The group’s concerns centered on decentralized finance, or DeFi. The group said some parts of the bill could allow certain participants to avoid registration, customer identity checks, anti-money laundering controls, and sanctions requirements. The NSA had also raised concerns about crypto tools such as mixers, tumblers, and cross-chain bridges. They said these tools could make it harder for police to trace illegal transactions and recover stolen crypto.

Senate Faces September 15 Deadline

This movement comes as the Senate approaches its next procedural step on the bill. According to the US Senate Daily Press, the cloture motion on H.R. 3633, the CLARITY Act, is scheduled for consideration on September 15 at 2:15 pm. The vote would determine whether the Senate can move forward with consideration of the bill. However, it is not a final vote on passage.

The NSA’s move removes its formal opposition. However, the recent letter does point to the fact that there are still several details that are under review. More broadly, lawmakers are trying to create clearer rules for digital assets while also protecting investors and preserving law-enforcement tools.

Bitwise’s Matt Hougan Is Cautious On CLARITY Vote

Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan said in an interview with Paul Barron that he was “cautious” on the Senate vote of the CLARITY Act, putting the odds below even while claiming they were better than prediction-market prices suggested. "He claimed the ethics section would make it hard for Democrats to support the bill in the current political context.

It’s asymmetric, because failure was already priced in by the market, he said. A failure would be a “non-event" and passage would be an upside surprise, sending Bitcoin (BTC) back toward six figures and pushing DeFi valuations sharply higher, added Hougam

Bitcoin’s price was trading at $79,731, up 0.2% in the last 24 hours. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around BTC dropped to ‘neutral’ from the ‘bullish’ zone, accompanied by ‘normal’ chatter levels over the past day.

Read also: Bitwise's Matt Hougan Names Robinhood, Solana, Uniswap And Ethereum As His Tokenization Basket

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Jordi Visser said on Saturday that investors were wrong to think of crypto in terms of binaries.

He argued that it's either "worth something" or it's not, in a conversation with Anthony Pompliano.

Visser said crypto was very underowned and that AI agents needing to "transact in seconds" would force full tokenization by February next year.

Jordi Visser, a Wall Street veteran, said that investors were wrong to think of crypto “in terms of binaries,” and that it is either “worth something” or it’s not.

Speaking with Anthony Pompliano on Saturday, Visser, a macro strategist at 22V Research, made the remarks in a wide-ranging discussion about rates, artificial intelligence, and crypto. He argued that zero exposure to Bitcoin (BTC) was in itself a directional bet, and not a neutral one.

He argued that, “If you have 0% weighting in Bitcoin, an investor is effectively assigning a “0% probability” to crypto's potential future impact. He further added that a 0% allocation was no longer defensible for a diversified portfolio.

Crypto Is 'So Underowned'

Visser linked that argument to crypto's size in relation to global wealth. "At a three-trillion-dollar, four-trillion market cap relative to 700 trillion in the human world, this is so underowned.” He connected the case to AI agents, saying they will force the issue of tokenization, regardless of investor sentiment. “Agents need to transact in seconds,” he said, predicting that assets “will be fully tokenized by February of 2027.”

Rates Matter Less Than Investors Think

Visser also argued that rising rates were not a big threat to markets, pointing to AI company margins as evidence. He fact-checked the math using large language models (LLMs), found that "a 200 basis point rise in 10-year yields doesn't change the margins for Anthropic or OpenAI by very much. It's about from, let's say, 70% to 69%."

Visser's comments come as Bitcoin was up 36.11% quarter-to-date (QTD), on pace for a third consecutive green Q3 after gains of 0.96% in Q3 2024 and 6.31% in Q3 2025, according to CoinGlass data.

Bitcoin’s price was up by 0.9% in the past 24 hours. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around BTC moved to the ‘neutral’ zone from the ’ bullish’ zone, as chatter around it stayed at ‘normal’ levels over the past day.

Other Investors See It Too

Visser was not the only one with a bullish outlook for Bitcoin.

ARK Invest's Cathie Wood, speaking on her "In The Know" episode on Friday, called Bitcoin "a technology revolution" and "a new global monetary system," and said she expected the Bitcoin-to-gold ratio to climb to all-time highs as AI-driven "creative destruction" raised counterparty risk across markets.

Read also: National Sheriffs’ Association Drops CLARITY Act Opposition As Senate Window Narrows To 10 Days

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan has long held a broad basket of Robinhood, Solana, Uniswap, and Ethereum.

Hougan termed it a probable buy and a 10-year hold on Robinhood.

Hougan said he was also bullish on Coinbase and is betting on traditional finance firms that fight tokenization.

Investors should spread their bets across a number of firms in the tokenization trade rather than going all-in on one company, said Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan, who pointed to a basket of Robinhood Markets (HOOD), Solana (SOL), Uniswap (UNI) and Ethereum (ETH) that he likes.

In an interview with Paul Barron on Friday, Hougan said the transition to tokenized rails would happen regardless of regulatory scheduling but the details of how it plays out are still too fuzzy to make single-asset positions problematic. He used Solana as an example of a concentrated bet, stating it was probably unwise to put all your chips in one network and stop there, while still listed the same token among the four he wishes to possess.

Uniswap still had an asset valuation of around $5 billion, Hougan claimed, a valuation that appeared wrong by a factor of 10. The fee burn for the protocol is $120 million to $130 million on a yearly basis, he said, which could be outdated.

UNI’s price was up over 0.2% in the last 24 hours, with the token rallying about 150% in the last 3 months. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around UNI remained in the ‘extremely bullish’ zone, with chatter stayed at ‘high’ levels over the past day.

Ethereum’s price was trading around $2,457, up 0.2% in the last 24 hours, with the token rallying about 51% in the last 3 months. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around ETH remained in the ‘bearish’ zone, accompanied by ‘normal’ chatter levels over the past day.

Solana’s price was trading $102.87, up over 1% in the last 24 hours, with the token rallying about 58% in the last 3 months. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around SOL dropped to the ‘bearish’ zone from the ‘neutral’ zone, accompanied by ‘normal’ chatter levels over the past day.

Calls Robinhood A Decade-Long Hold

Hougan reserved his strongest words for Robinhood. If he had to pick one financial stock to buy and hold for 10 years, it would be Robinhood, he said. He said the corporation was becoming a financial monster, and had proved it could reinvent itself time and time again.

The switch bucked his own long-held belief that each generation gets one brokerage and sticks with it — the way Robinhood is to millennials what E*Trade was to Generation X and Charles Schwab was to baby boomers, he added. At the same time, he said, the firm was going upstream to richer consumers, and into the institutional advising area through acquisitions.

Hougan said he will be long Robinhood and Coinbase (COIN) and short the traditional finance companies that aren’t trying the transition. He said Coinbase's stance was an easy fix, adding the company can be slow at times, but it gets the job done.

And he noted a lot of the growth came from activity on Robinhood Chain, noting that penetration was still early, especially for U.S. customers. Rival brokerages, he claimed, would see Robinhood developing what he called a billion-dollar business in months and would attempt to copy the technique, bringing DeFi protocols such as Uniswap, Morpho and Aerodrome into its go-to-market.

Investors were underestimating the extent of the opportunity, Hougan said. “This is not a $2 trillion market. This is a $500 trillion market,” Hougan added, including mortgages, home equity loans and cross-border finance, said Hougan.

Read also: Bitcoin’s ‘Coiled Spring’ Setup Has Economist James Thorne Bullish On The ‘Next Big Trade’

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Economist James Thorne said his risk capital was in Bitcoin, though he flagged that a socialist-aligned Congress after the 2026 midterms could change his bullish thesis.

James Thorne, chief market strategist at Wellington-Altus, called Bitcoin a "coiled spring" and the market's "next big trade" on Friday.

He tied the call to a thesis that the U.S. should grow out of debt through supply-side, non-inflationary growth.

He ranked Bitcoin above gold and Micron Technology, and reinforced Bitcoin's role as a "neutral asset" in a digitizing global economy.

James Thorne, PhD Economist and Chief Market Strategist at Wellington-Altus, doubled down on his bullish Bitcoin (BTC) call, calling the cryptocurrency a “coiled spring” and the market’s “next big trade.”

Speaking in an interview with Mark Moss on Friday, Thorne made the case for a macro thesis that the U.S. should grow out of debt through supply-side and non-inflationary growth rather than through a war. According to him, Bitcoin was one of the clearest beneficiaries of that shift.

Thorne singled out Bitcoin among all the other assets when he was asked where he saw the next big trade for investors who can hold through volatility. "It's not gold, I think gold can double from here. It's not Micron (MU); Micron can double from here, but you've got this - Bitcoin is a coiled spring,” he noted.

Bitcoin’s price was up by 0.2% in the past 24 hours. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around BTC moved to the ‘neutral’ zone from the ’ bullish’ zone, as chatter around it stayed at ‘normal’ levels over the past day.

Why Bitcoin Goes Up Next

He said that narrative tended to follow price, and that he expected a wave of bullish catalysts to emerge once Bitcoin turned higher.

These included a broader debasement trade, a manufacturing rebound above 50 on the ISM index, and Bitcoin becoming a “standard contributor to asset allocation platforms” as investors realized that a 3% to 5% allocation would improve a portfolio’s Sharpe ratio, which measures how much return an investment delivers for each unit of risk it takes on.But according to Thorne, beneath these lay a more fundamental point that people were missing. Bitcoin was “a neutral asset” for a global economy that was “going digital” as financial markets move onto blockchain rails.

The Technical Signal He's Watching

Thorne said he ignores headlines in favor of a single technical signal, like the 200-day exponential moving average. "When it's upward sloping and right positive, you buy. When it's downward sloping, it's negative, you sell," he said, adding that Bitcoin was "very close" to that crossover turning positive.

Thorne posted a chart on X showing Bitcoin's 30-week and 40-week exponential moving averages (EMAs), which weight recent prices more heavily than a simple average.
    Source: @DrJStrategy/x
Both had both turned upward, and he called that shift "the transition from a bearish grind to a bullish reversal, not a one-day bounce," and noted that the intermediate trend had “changed from down to up," even though price could “still chop."

Thorne said his own portfolio reflects the conviction, and that his “risk capital” was in Bitcoin. He pointed to the top cryptocurrency’s performance over the last 11 months, and said, "You can't give it away right now. So, I'm very bullish."

That bullishness carries a condition. If Democratic Socialists gain control of Congress after the 2026 midterms, Thorne said, "then the bullish thesis is off the table," an outcome he said would also make him "excessively bearish" on markets broadly.

Thorne Defended Bitcoin Before

Thorne's comments come from his extended bullish position on Bitcoin. In July, after Bitcoin and gold ranked among 2026's worst-performing assets despite an active US-Iran war, Thorne had argued that regulatory uncertainty, not volatility, was the real barrier to Bitcoin adoption, pegging its long-term upside at $240,000 to $250,000 if it matches Nvidia's (NVDA) market capitalization, or $1.5 million to $1.8 million if it matches gold's.

Read also: Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest Buys HOOD Stock As Robinhood Sees Its Third-Best Week In Six Months

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

The trade made up about 0.0528% of the fund.

This comes as HOOD stock has seen its third-best week in the last six months, closing up over 17%. The last time the stock posted better weekly performance was in April and May, when it rose over 31% and 28%, respectively. Robinhood shares closed up over 17% on Thursday itself.

In a weekly wrap statement, Ark Invest said “some sell-side firms had raised their outlooks” on Robinhood, citing growth opportunities in its prediction markets, banking, and crypto infrastructure.

Robinhood has been expanding beyond stock and crypto trading. In the second-quarter results of 2026, Robinhood’s event-contract revenue reached $156 million, surpassing crypto revenue of $100 million for the first time, while crypto trading volume decreased 35% year on year. The number of event contracts traded increased by more than tenfold, reaching 13.6 billion.

HOOD stock closed below 2% on Friday. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around HOOD was in the ‘bullish’ zone, while chatter dipped to ‘high’ from ‘extremely high’ levels over the past 24 hours.

CRCL Stock In Focus

Ark Invest’s weekly statement also highlighted gains in another crypto-linked stock. Circle Internet Group (CRCL) shares also rose over 16% on Thursday during a broader crypto market rally, reaching their highest in over a month. According to Ark Invest, this move was fueled by Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller, who signaled that he could support holding interest rates steady. The firm added, “As the only publicly traded pure play issuer, CRCL is beginning to benefit as investors gain conviction in the role of stablecoins in decentralized finance and agentic internet activity.”

Ark Invest also added that investors are becoming more confident about the role of stablecoins in decentralized finance and AI-based internet activity. The latest trades show the firm increasing its Solana-linked investments after a strong session for crypto-related assets.

CRCL’s stock closed down over 1% on Friday. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around CRCL improved to ‘bullish’ from the ‘neutral zone,' accompanied by ‘high’ chatter levels over the past day.

Ark Adds More Solana Exposure

Ark also bought more shares of the 3iQ Solana Staking ETF (SOLQ.U) on Friday. The Ark Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) bought 1,785 shares, and the Ark Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF) bought another 1,607 shares. This brought Ark’s total Friday purchase to 3,392 SOLQ.U shares.

Read also: Bitcoin Drops Below $80K After Strong Jobs Data, ETF Inflows Collapse 76% In A Day

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Bitcoin fell below $80,000 on Saturday after a stronger-than-expected August jobs report.

Nonfarm payrolls rose 162,000, tripling forecasts, and unemployment stayed at 4.1%.

Spot Bitcoin ETF inflows dropped 76% to $174.60 million on Friday, from $730 million on Thursday.

Bitcoin (BTC) fell below $80,000 on Saturday, down more than 1% after a stronger-than-expected U.S. jobs report for August rattled the cryptocurrency market.

On Friday, Nonfarm payrolls increased by 162,000 in August, more than triple the 53,000 economists had expected, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Private payrolls were also much stronger than expected, with 127,000 jobs added compared with expectations of around 43,000 to 45,000. The unemployment rate remained at 4.1%. The BLS also revised up payrolls for June and July by a combined 55,000 jobs.

Jobs Report May Not Set Fed Path

According to a Bitunix analyst, Bank of America (BofA) said before Friday’s report that the jobs data alone may not be enough to significantly move current rate-hike pricing unless payroll growth is substantially below forecasts.

But the bank pointed to the September 11 Consumer Price Index (CPI) report as a more definitive signal for the Fed's rate path, arguing that if inflation remained sticky even as the labor market became softer, higher rates could keep funding costs and pressure risk-asset valuations, including crypto.

Analysts also said that the yen carry trade offered a separate channel for transmitting Japanese monetary policy shocks to the crypto markets, beyond U.S. data.
    Garett Jin on substack.
On Substack, popular trader Garrett Jin said that Bitcoin came under pressure and was 'rejected brutally' at $82,500. According to the trader, if Bitcoin’s price rises, more people who bought at higher prices could use it as an opportunity to sell, in turn creating additional selling pressure. According to him, more traders are betting that Bitcoin’s price will fall, making the market likely vulnerable to a short squeeze.

ETF Flows Reverse

On Thursday, before the jobs report was announced, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $730.9 million in inflows, the highest since February. However, net inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs on Friday totaled $174.60 million, down about 76% from Thursday’s number, according to SoSoValue data.

Thursday's inflow coincided with Bitcoin rallying to $81,000 on the back of comments from Fed Governor Christopher Waller, who said he was open to keeping rates steady if inflation continued to ease.

This has put Bitcoin at a crucial level. With Bitcoin approaching crucial resistance at $83,000, investors are watching to see whether ETF inflows continue to rise or fall further.

Bitcoin’s price was in the red in the past 24 hours. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around BTC moved to the ‘neutral’ zone from the ’ bullish’ zone, as chatter around it stayed at ‘normal’ levels over the past day.

Broader Market Pause

The broader market also showed signs of a similar pause outside of Bitcoin. Ethereum (ETH) was also trading in the red, with total ETH spot ETF falling to $26.46 million on Friday, from $141.39 million on Thursday, marking a drop of roughly 81%, according to SoSoValue data.

Ethereum’s price was also down over 2% during the past 24 hours. On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment around ETH remained in the ‘bearish’ zone, as chatter around it stayed at ‘normal’ levels over the past day.

With the markets having digested the jobs report, the next scheduled catalysts likely to affect the crypto market's direction into mid-September are the September 11 CPI release and the subsequent Fed rate decision.

Read also: Zcash Tops $1,000 For First Time In A Decade As Short Covering Drive Rally

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Zcash surpassed $1,000 for the first time since 2016, reaching an intraday high of $1,021.58 on September 4.

The market cap rose to approximately $17 billion, marking a significant recovery.

Prominent advocates in the crypto community, such as Balaji Srinivasan and Tyler Winklevoss, expressed support for the rally, suggesting Zcash could become a significant form of "AI-proof private money."

Zcash (ZEC) topped $1,000 for the first time since 2016, leading to a rally that has roughly doubled the privacy token in a month and pushed its market cap to around $17 billion.

The token crossed the line on Sept. 4, hitting an intraday high of $1,021.58, according to data from Coingecko. ZEC was trading at $1,030 on Friday, up roughly 9.7% over the last 24 hours.

The move takes Zcash to its strongest level in almost 10 years, but it is still a long way from a record. ZEC hit a high of $3,191.93 on Oct. 28, 2016, and remains about 83% below that peak. The token has traded at around 7 times its average price of $129.98 since January 2017, according to Koyfin data.

ZEC’s price was trading around $1,007, up 0.2% in the last 24 hours. On Stocktwits it was one of the top trending tickers. Retail sentiment around ZEC improved to ‘extremely bullish’ from the ‘bullish’ zone, while chatter around it rose to ‘extremely high’ from ‘high’ levels over the past day.
ZEC retail sentiment on Sept. 5 as of 5:41 a.m. ET | Source: Stocktwits
ETP Listing Anchors Rally

Much of the bid traces back to Grayscale, which converted its Zcash Trust into an exchange-traded product and listed ZCSH on NYSE Arca on Aug. 25. It is the first U.S.-listed ETP offering direct exposure to ZEC, giving brokerage investors a regulated route to buy the cryptocurrency.

Shorts Forced To Cover

Open interest of ZEC perpetuals reached an all-time high of around $2.4 billion on Sept. 4, CoinGlass data showed. That's up from the previous high of about $2.0 billion set during the late-August run and more than triple the roughly $700 million outstanding in early July.

The curve of open interest has almost mirrored the price one-for-one throughout the rally, with positioning building as the price moved up rather than trailing it. The breakout above $1,000 shook out the short position.

As the token breached the $1000 threshold, some $34.5 million in ZEC shorts were liquidated, part of about $36.6 million in total liquidations over 24 hours, data from CoinGlass showed.

But it wasn’t the biggest unwind of Zcash’s year. According to data from perpetual liquidations, it was a much larger event in early June when the price of the token rose to around $380, when the disclosure of the Orchard vulnerability triggered long liquidations several times the size of Friday’s number.

Bulls Talk Their Book

Crypto’s best-known privacy advocates were among the loudest endorsers of the rally. Balaji Srinivasan posted a rising price ladder on X citing his January argument that the network can and must scale.
    Source: @balajis
People are starting to look at Zcash as ‘AI-proof private money,’ said Tyler Winklevoss, a co-founder of Gemini (GEMI). He added that, “‘We are in a structural decline in terms of privacy across society.’ AI is accelerating this decline. Zcash is the antidote.”
    Source: @tyler/x Source: @blknoiz06/x
Ansem, a well-known trader, said he bought his first Bitcoin at about $3,000 and the asset traded near $20,000 months later. He expects a similar path for Zcash over the next 12 months to 18 months. He pointed to a hard-money and financial-privacy thesis, and a core holder base accumulated over a decade with no near-term selling targets.

Read also: Treasury Chief Bessent Predicts Oil Price Drop To $40 Following End Of Iran Conflict

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Everpure, the data-storage company, finished at $99.51, up 1.4%, and added about 2% after the bell. Illumina closed regular trading lower at $218.22 and edged up 2% after the news.

S&P Dow Jones Indices said the three stocks will enter the S&P 500 before the open on Monday, September 21, as part of the quarterly rebalance.

Morgan Stanley could get the lead role, while Goldman Sachs may handle IPO stabilization, reported the Financial Times.

Anthropic could file its IPO paperwork as soon as next week.

The company could start trading in New York by late September or early October.

Anthropic is moving closer to its planned Wall Street debut, with Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs expected to secure key roles in a potential $2 trillion IPO. The Claude maker could file its prospectus as soon as next week and is preparing for a roadshow near the end of September, the Financial Times reported.

Morgan Stanley, Goldman In Line

Morgan Stanley is the frontrunner for Anthropic’s “lead left” mandate, stated the FT report, citing four people familiar with the matter. Goldman Sachs, meanwhile, is expected to take the stabilization-agent role, which involves overseeing the early trading sessions after the listing.

Morgan Stanley has already been speaking with potential Anthropic investors about the price at which the company could sell its shares. Its lead-left appointment, however, has not been finalized and could still change.

JPMorgan, Citigroup and Barclays are also expected to receive leading positions on the offering after providing debt financing to Anthropic.

$2T Valuation Could Set Record

The IPO could become the largest ever if Anthropic reaches the valuation investors expect. Around half a dozen shareholders have previously said they expect the company to go public at $2 trillion or more, according to the FT report.

Anthropic was valued at $965 billion, as of May-end.

The timing remains subject to change, but a prospectus filing as soon as next week would mark a major step towards the listing. The offering is also expected to test investor demand for high-growth AI companies following SpaceX’s record $86 billion listing at a $1.78 trillion valuation.

Banks Battle For AI IPOs

Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs are also expected to pursue roles on OpenAI’s planned IPO, which could come early next year.

The lead-left position is particularly valuable because it gives the bank influence over valuation discussions and decisions on stock allocations to hedge funds, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds.

Pelacarsen had been one of Novartis’s biggest late-stage bets in heart disease as it works to replace older blockbusters facing generic competition.

Ionis developed pelacarsen and licensed worldwide rights to Novartis.

Amgen shares also slipped 5% after-hours on the news, as the company is developing a similar drug, olpasiran, which is currently in late-stage trials.

Shares of Novartis (NVS) sank after-hours on Friday after a closely watched heart-disease trial failed to show that lowering a stubborn inherited risk factor actually prevented heart attacks and strokes.

U.S.-listed Novartis stock (NVS) closed at $159.99, then slipped as much as about 7% in after-hours trading. Partner Ionis Pharmaceuticals (IONS), which licensed the drug, also fell roughly 10% after the close.

Trial Missed The Main Goal

The late-stage Lp(a)HORIZON study tested pelacarsen in 8,323 people who already had cardiovascular disease and high lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a)—a genetically driven blood fat that diet and lifestyle barely change. About one in five people worldwide have elevated Lp(a), and there is still no approved medicine that targets it.

Pelacarsen did what it was designed to do: it lowered Lp(a). It did not, however, cut the combined risk of cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, non-fatal stroke, or urgent procedures to open a blocked heart artery versus placebo. Patients were already on standard treatments such as cholesterol and blood-pressure medicines. Full results will be presented at a medical meeting, the company said.

“These are not the results we hoped for,” said Shreeram Aradhye, Novartis’s chief medical officer, adding that the data still help scientists understand whether cutting Lp(a) reduces leftover heart risk when other factors are already controlled.

What It Means For Novartis

Pelacarsen had been one of the company’s biggest late-stage bets in heart disease. The miss removes a potential growth engine just as Novartis works to replace older blockbusters facing generic competition.

The pipeline is not empty. Days earlier, Novartis’s remibrutinib succeeded in two large multiple-sclerosis trials, lifting shares. Other late-stage programs, including ianalumab in autoimmune disease and radioligand cancer drugs, remain on the calendar.

Blow To Ionis, Amgen

Ionis developed pelacarsen and licensed worldwide rights to Novartis. A win would have brought milestones and royalties. The failure is the second cardiovascular outcomes disappointment this year for Ionis, following a miss in an ATTR cardiomyopathy trial in July.

Amgen shares also slipped 5% after hours over the news, as the company is developing olpasiran, also for inherited high lipoprotein(a) in people at risk of heart attack and stroke. The drug is currently in late-stage trials.

How Did Retail Traders React?

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around NVS remained ‘bullish’ over the past 24 hours, while message volume was ‘high.’

Sentiment around IONS, meanwhile, rose from ‘neutral’ to ‘bullish’ over the past 24 hours, while message volume increased from ‘low’ to ‘high’ levels, likely owing to FDA approval for its drug Zanvastro as the first treatment for Alexander disease on Thursday.

While NVS stock has gained 16% year-to-date, IONS fell 27%. AMGN added 34%.

Also Read: TTD Stock Declines As Wall Street Splits: Rosenblatt Sees Cost Relief, Jefferies Sees Top-Line Risk From 15% Job Cuts

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Oil could fall to between $40 and $50 per barrel post-conflict due to an impending surge in global market supply.

Falling energy costs are expected to ease headline inflation and push down benchmark interest rates, which recently hit multi-year highs.

Bessent dismissed concerns over Norway’s sovereign wealth fund reducing its U.S. Treasury holdings, suggesting a pivot toward higher-yielding U.S. housing agency debt.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent predicted on Friday that global crude prices could plummet to as low as $40 per barrel once the military conflict involving Iran reaches a resolution.

The Treasury chief signaled that an influx of market supply will drive down energy costs and help alleviate pressure on sovereign bond yields, while speaking to Bloomberg in an interview.

"We're going to get on the other side of this Iran conflict, and I expect that oil will come down," Bessent said. He emphasized that an upcoming surplus could drive West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude levels significantly lower.

Market Pressure And Inflation

The projections come amid elevated energy markets following recent military exchanges between U.S. and Iranian forces. Brent crude traded above $95 a barrel on Friday, reaching its highest level since July, while West Texas Intermediate hovered near $91.

The recent surge in energy pricing has fueled persistent inflationary fears, driving interest rates on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds to levels not seen since 2023. Bessent pointed out a strong historical correlation between current oil prices and interest rate movements, reassuring markets that both inflation spikes and bond yields will decline as geopolitics stabilize.

Rising inflation concerns have also fueled rate-hike fears among investors, with Friday’s strong jobs report fanning investor angst. As per the CME FedWatch tool, traders anticipate a 58% chance of a rate hike by the Federal Reserve at the September meeting.

Sovereign Debt And Foreign Holdings

Bessent also addressed market nervousness regarding a proposal from Norway’s sovereign wealth fund to reduce its U.S. government debt footprint by an estimated $75 billion. The potential divestment comes as U.S. national debt metrics hit a landmark $40 trillion.

Downplaying concerns about diminishing international demand for U.S. Treasuries, Bessent suggested the fund is simply reallocating capital to higher-yielding, government-backed housing agency debt, such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae securities. "They're just looking to upgrade their yield with other American assets," he noted, expressing support for such portfolio shifts.

Among ETFs tracking benchmark indexes, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) fell 0.4%, and Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) ended Friday flat, while the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA) was down 0.7%. The U.S. Oil Fund (USO) slipped about 0.1% on Friday.

Retail sentiment on Stocktwits for QQQ, SPY, and DIA was between ‘bearish’ and ‘neutral ’, with ‘high’ message volumes.

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

The company had 3,843 full-time employees at the end of 2025, implying more than 500 jobs are at risk.

Rosenblatt argued the reductions do not signal a worse outlook than the pressures already discussed on the second-quarter call.

Jefferies analyst James Heaney was more cautious, calling the 15% cut a reaction to a sudden revenue slump rather than a forward-looking reset.

Shares of The Trade Desk Inc. (TTD) fell about 4% on Friday after the ad-tech company outlined a plan to shrink its workforce by roughly 15%, leaving Wall Street divided over its long-term vision.

What The Filing Says

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Trade Desk said it is carrying out an organizational realignment meant to put people and spending behind its top growth priorities, tighten day-to-day operations, and create a leaner structure it argues can scale. The company will eliminate roles and reduce headcount by about 15%, with the work expected to be largely finished in the third quarter of 2026, it said.

Management estimates cash restructuring costs of $39 million to $51 million, mainly severance and benefits. A $4 million to $5 million reversal of stock-based compensation is expected to offset part of that amount. The related accrual is slated for the third quarter. Trade Desk cautioned that additional costs could arise if the plan does not go as expected and said it would amend the filing if the numbers change materially.

The company had 3,843 full-time employees at the end of 2025, implying more than 500 jobs are at risk.

How Wall Street Read The Cuts

Rosenblatt kept a Neutral rating. The firm said the news underscores a difficult revenue backdrop, but argued the reductions do not signal a worse outlook than the pressures already discussed on the second-quarter call. That, Rosenblatt said, is constructive for expenses and for adjusted core profit versus Street estimates.

Jefferies analyst James Heaney was more cautious, calling the 15% cut a reaction to a sudden revenue slump rather than a forward-looking reset. Because The Trade Desk relies on a high-touch sales model, he warned the smaller staff could weigh on revenue into the holiday quarter. Heaney compared the setup to the fourth-quarter 2024 miss that followed a prior reorganization. Jefferies stayed at Hold with a $12 price target and said it sees few near-term catalysts.

Truist also kept a Hold rating and a $16 target. It estimated the reduction would affect about 580 people and save $100 million to $150 million a year. With about $1.5 billion in cash and no debt as of the second quarter, Truist called the move prudent given cyclical pressure and recent execution gaps, and framed it as another step toward profitable growth under refreshed leadership.

Q2 Disappointment, Weak Growth Outlook

The Trade Desk’s second-quarter revenue rose just 3% to $715 million, missing estimates, as adjusted core profit slipped to $241 million. Third-quarter guidance of at least $650 million implies about a 12% sales drop.

Management blamed soft spending by consumer packaged goods and auto advertisers, along with internal execution shortfalls, for the soft growth guidance.

How Did TTD Retail Traders React?

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around TTD stock improved from ‘bearish’ to ‘neutral’ over the past 24 hours, while message volume remained ‘low.’

A Stocktwits user opined that the next quarter is not looking good.
  View this Stocktwits post
Another user, however, expressed optimism that the stock would eventually rise to $40, nearly three times its current value.
  View this Stocktwits post
A third user opined that the company’s CEO Jeff Green could have “at minimum reduced his compensation” before considering a layoff. Green was paid about $27.4 million in 2025, nearly four times his 2024 total of $6.76 million.
  View this Stocktwits post
TTD stock has fallen 62% year-to-date.

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.

Job listings indicate that the AI startup is seeking engineers and managers to evaluate the development of proprietary billing and treasury tools.

The move highlights potential risks for Stripe, which relies heavily on booming AI firms for growth.

Beyond consumer payments, Anthropic is looking to consolidate its banking relationships and build custom production-grade treasury applications.

Artificial intelligence giant Anthropic is reportedly considering developing its own in-house billing, financial infrastructure, and fraud-detection systems, a move that could reduce its reliance on the payment processor Stripe.

Recent job postings suggest the fast-growing startup is deciding where to keep using third-party financial platforms and where to build its own "primitives," The Information reported. The shift comes as Anthropic scales rapidly, with annualized revenue leaping nearly fivefold to almost $45 billion within five months by May.

Evaluating The 'Buy-Versus-Build' Equation

Handling revenue for AI applications presents unique hurdles due to complex, token-based usage models and fluctuating consumption patterns. Anthropic's open roles, including positions for billing software engineers and financial fraud specialists, aim to address these challenges directly. The company is seeking talent to build real-time risk assessment systems, curb promo code abuse, and reduce processing costs.

While replacing primary processors like Stripe would be a complex and lengthy effort, developing custom billing and financial tools gives fast-growing tech firms greater control over transaction fees and specialized metering.

"Stripe has been a strong partner to Anthropic for years, and we continue to work with them across our business," an Anthropic spokesperson said in a statement to The Information. Stripe did not respond to requests for comment.

Broader Trends Among AI Leaders

Anthropic is not the only AI leader re-evaluating its payment tech stack. Rival OpenAI recently expanded beyond Stripe by bringing on payment processor Adyen. OpenAI also shifted its customer credit card data storage to an independent intermediary, giving it the flexibility to route transactions through multiple vendor platforms.

In response to these shifting demands, Stripe has invested heavily in AI-specific features, including its $1 billion acquisition of usage-based billing platform Metronome. Meanwhile, competitor Adyen acquired usage-based billing provider Orb for $335 million.

The Information noted that Anthropic’s internal engineering push extends into its corporate treasury operations. Hiring listings show the startup is seeking to consolidate its banking relationships and build custom, production-grade financial applications to manage cash flows—functions traditionally handled by third-party software vendors such as Kyriba, Trovata, or FIS.

Retail sentiment on Stocktwits was ‘bullish’ on Anthropic.

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Trump has held two meetings with senior advisers to discuss the emerging Middle East strategy, reported Axios.

The plan could involve a U.S.-backed regional coalition aimed at countering Iran.

Washington is also considering steps involving Gaza, Israel-Syria ties and the Israel-Lebanon agreement.

The Trump administration is reportedly drawing up a post-war Middle East strategy aimed at limiting Iran’s influence, strengthening regional partnerships and advancing the normalization of ties between Israel and neighboring countries.

The strategy remains in its early drafting phase and is expected to shape Washington’s Middle East policy once the war with Iran ends and during the final two years of President Donald Trump’s term, Axios reported, citing two U.S. officials and two other people familiar with the matter.

The planning comes ahead of Israel’s October 27 elections and the U.S. midterm elections in November.

Trump Discusses Broader Middle East Strategy

The strategy is being developed at both the senior political level of the Trump administration and across various government agencies, according to U.S. officials.

Trump has discussed the plan with senior advisers in two meetings in recent weeks, during which potential ideas were considered. He has also privately indicated that he is working on “something much bigger” for the Middle East once the war with Iran ends, Axios reported.

Three Areas Under Consideration

According to the sources, three main elements have emerged as possible parts of the strategy.

One would involve building a regional coalition of U.S. allies to counter Iran, with Washington acting as its guarantor.

The second is seeking to bring the regional fallout from the October 7, 2023, Israel attacks closer to a conclusion. That could include securing the next phase of Trump’s Gaza plan, reaching a security agreement between Israel and Syria and implementing the Israel-Lebanon agreement.

The third would seek to broaden the Abraham Accords and pursue a normalization deal between Saudi Arabia and Israel.

Israel Election Could Shape Strategy

The Trump administration hopes that any new Israeli government formed after the October 27 elections will be willing and able to cooperate with the post-war strategy, according to Axios.

A source briefed on the process said it could take several more weeks to complete the strategy, adding that the broader goal is to bring multiple regional issues together and create a new regional alignment after the war.

SPY, QQQ, DIA: Retail Sentiment

At the time of writing on Friday afternoon, U.S. equities were mixed. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), which tracks the S&P 500 index, was down 0.38%, and the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA) had declined by 0.48%. Meanwhile, the Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (QQQ) was marginally higher by 0.04%.

Retail sentiment on Stocktwits for SPY and DIA was ‘bearish,’ while it was ‘neutral’ for QQQ.

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

The comment came after the stock dropped 6% on Friday, following a Cybercab launch event on Thursday that disappointed investors.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also opened a review of Cybercabs on Friday to determine whether Tesla properly certified the vehicle.

Tesla priced the initial public offering on June 28, 2010, at $17 a share, valuing the company at around $1.5 billion.

Tesla stock fell about 6% on Friday after a Cybercab event left investors disappointed, but the electric-vehicle maker was still valued at about $1.11 trillion.

Shares traded near $354 at the time of writing, down from Thursday’s close of $376.37.

Why The Shares Dropped?

Tesla jumped more than 5% on Thursday ahead of the Cybercab's launch in Austin. The two-seat robotaxi has no steering wheel or pedals, and the event was closed to the public. Tesla did not livestream it, and Chief Executive Elon Musk did not appear.

The company rolled out the vehicle in limited areas of Austin. While it is unclear how many Cybercabs are operating on the roads, Tesla has registered around 45 vehicles with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, disappointing investors who expected a wider rollout.

U.S. auto-safety regulators added pressure. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Friday opened a review of Cybercabs to check whether Tesla properly certified a vehicle that lacks conventional driver controls, raising fresh questions about how fast the service can expand.

“Among other things, NHTSA will consider the extent to which Tesla’s certification depended on determinations that certain Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) are inapplicable to the Cybercab,” the regulator said.

Musk’s Message

Tesla CEO Elon Musk still struck a long-term note. Replying on Friday to a post arguing Tesla was worth more than other publicly traded automakers combined, he wrote, “We’ve come a long way. Tesla IPO value was a thousandth of its current value!”

Tesla priced the offering on June 28, 2010, at $17 a share, valuing the company at around $1.5 billion. The company’s market valuation has since multiplied by about 800-900 times to reach about $1.5 trillion, before Friday's selloff.

Still In A League Of Its Own

Even after Friday’s drop, Tesla’s valuation remains in a different category from the rest of the auto industry, including Detroit’s largest listed carmakers and China’s EV giant BYD. Ford was valued at about $58 billion, General Motors at about $77 billion, Stellantis at about $14 billion, and BYD at roughly $110 billion at the time of writing.

The world’s largest automaker by volume, Toyota Motor, has a market valuation of about $284 billion.

How Did TSLA Retail Traders React?

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around TSLA stock remained ‘bullish’ over the past 24 hours, while message volume was ‘high.’

TSLA stock has fallen 21% year-to-date.

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Telix already has two FDA-approved prostate cancer scan drugs: Illuccix, cleared in December 2021, and Gozellix, approved in March 2025.

Telix has not baked any Pixclara sales into its 2026 forecast, so approval would be extra to current guidance.

The FDA refused to approve Pixclara in 2025 and sought more evidence.

NASDAQ-listed shares of Telix Pharmaceuticals (TLX) climbed this week as investors focused on a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) decision due next Friday on the company’s brain-cancer imaging agent.

TLX stock was trading around $11.90 on Friday, up roughly 5% from last Friday’s close of $11.29. The biggest lift this week came on Wednesday, when the shares jumped 5.5% after Telix said it had finished enrolling in a late-stage prostate imaging study.

Impending Decision

The FDA’s target date for deciding on Pixclara is September 11. Pixclara is a PET scan dye meant to help doctors tell whether a glioma — an aggressive brain tumor — is coming back or whether the scan is only showing damage from earlier treatment. That distinction is difficult to make with standard imaging and can affect how patients are treated.

The product already has Fast Track and Orphan Drug status. Telix has not baked any Pixclara sales into its 2026 forecast, so approval would be in addition to its current guidance of $950 million to $970 million in revenue.

A Second Try At The FDA

The company first filed for approval of Pixclara in 2024. The FDA accepted the filing and granted it priority review, then rejected it in April 2025 and requested additional supporting evidence. Telix resubmitted in March. The agency accepted the new package on April 10 and set next week’s deadline.

Telix already has two FDA-approved prostate cancer scan drugs: Illuccix, cleared in December 2021, and Gozellix, approved in March 2025. Those products now drive most sales. A kidney-cancer scan, Zircaix, was also rejected last year and is being prepared for another filing later this year.

Pixclara would give Telix a third commercial imaging product and a foothold in brain cancer. Approval would also add a product not yet included in the sales outlook, while the core prostate business continues to grow.

How Did TLX Retail Traders React?

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around TLX stock remained ‘bullish’ over the past 24 hours, while message volume rose from ‘low’ to ‘normal’ levels.

TLX stock has risen 59% year-to-date.

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.

The U.S. and China are preparing for mid-September talks on AI safety risks ahead of a summit between President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Washington aims to propose joint cooperation to track AI-driven cyber threats.

Intelligence reports show Chinese hackers are using low-guardrail models such as DeepSeek to automate malicious operations, Bloomberg reported.

The United States and China are preparing to hold a dedicated dialogue in mid-September focused on mitigating artificial intelligence-led cybersecurity risks, according to an exclusive Reuters report.

The upcoming talks mark the first official bilateral discussions devoted strictly to AI safety between the two superpowers since U.S. President Donald Trump assumed office for a second term.

Led by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on the American side, the discussions will serve as a prelude to a high-level summit between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping on September 24. Protocol counterparts on the Chinese side are expected to include Vice Premier He Lifeng or senior official Ding Xuexiang, Reuters reported.

Washington Wants AI Labs To “Police Themselves”

Washington's primary push will focus on establishing cooperative mechanisms to monitor autonomous, AI-driven cyber threats. A key proposal floated by the U.S. side would ask frontier AI laboratories in both nations to share safety data and "police themselves" to prevent runaway AI-linked cyber incidents.

Former Microsoft executive Craig Mundie, co-chair of an unofficial Track II channel between the two nations, has acted as an intermediary, sounding out Chinese officials on these measures.

The talks arrive at a moment of heightened anxiety over autonomous AI agents. American national security officials have expressed concern about rogue systems, pointing to recent breaches in which swarms of autonomous agents modified system logs and evaded detection for extended periods. Similarly, China’s cyberspace regulator publicly warned of severe "loss of control risks," reflecting growing mutual concerns over unmonitored artificial intelligence systems.

Hackers Weaponize Accessible AI Platforms

Reports underscore the urgency of the upcoming diplomatic effort: state-affiliated threat actors are already integrating artificial intelligence into active cyber operations.

According to research detailed by Bloomberg, state-sponsored cyber groups originating from China have more than doubled their attack volume by delegating repetitive tasks and offensive script development to open-source models.

Researchers at the Taiwanese cybersecurity firm TeamT5 identified the Chinese model DeepSeek as a widely used platform among domestic hackers due to its accessibility, strong baseline capabilities, and relatively minimal guardrails compared to Western platforms.

"DeepSeek is the AI of choice for Chinese hackers because it's relatively powerful with very low cyber guardrails," noted Charles Li, chief analyst at TeamT5, as cited by Bloomberg. While advanced Western models have stricter safeguards, researchers noted that threat actors keep trying to circumvent them, occasionally using American platforms such as OpenAI's ChatGPT or Anthropic's Claude to decrypt databases or map internal network paths.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) dipped 0.4%, the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA) was flattish, down 0.02%, and the Nasdaq-100 tracking Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) moved 0.45% lower.

Retail sentiment around SPY trended in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day, while sentiment around QQQ improved to ‘bullish’ from ‘neutral.’

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

The entry-level Standard with Ads plan saw the sharpest percentage jump, rising by 33% from £4.99 to £6.99 ($9.45) per month.

Standard and Premium ad-free subscription tiers have risen to £12.99 and £18.99 per month, respectively.

The regional cost adjustment underscores the U.K.'s strategic importance as Netflix’s second-largest global market and a major contributor to its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) earnings.

Netflix Inc. (NFLX) on Thursday implemented a significant price increase across its subscription tiers in the United Kingdom, delivering a notable markup to its budget-friendly options as it seeks to boost top-line revenue growth in mature international markets.

The streaming giant’s lowest-cost option, the Standard with Ads tier, saw the biggest jump, rising 33% from £4.99 to £6.99 ($9.45) per month. Meanwhile, monthly costs for ad-free tiers also rose: the Standard plan climbed from £10.99 to £12.99, and the top-tier Premium plan jumped from £17.99 to £18.99.

The move reflects the platform’s broader global strategy to transition users toward higher average revenue per membership (ARM) while monetizing its expanding advertising infrastructure.

NFLX stock dropped 4% on Friday, on track for its worst day in nearly two months.

Shifting Focus To Revenue And Ad Growth

The U.K. rate adjustments mark a continuing shift in Netflix’s monetization framework. Having largely phased out its legacy ad-free Basic tier, the platform is using the price update to close the cost gap between ad-supported viewing and ad-free tiers.

Industry analysts note that even with a 33% increase, the ad-supported tier remains a strategically positioned entry point designed to capture price-sensitive subscribers while generating high-margin ad revenue. Netflix management has repeatedly emphasized that engagement metrics and the ad platform's growth trajectory remain core operational targets.

Strategic Importance Of The UK And EMEA Region

The price increases in the U.K. come as Netflix relies heavily on its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) segment to drive balance-sheet performance.

In 2025, Netflix generated $14.51 billion in revenue from the EMEA region out of total global streaming revenue of approximately $45.18 billion. This makes EMEA a core pillar of the company's business, accounting for roughly 32.1% of total global revenue.

Based on official regulatory filings in the U.K., Netflix U.K. generated $2.81 billion (£2.06 billion) in revenue in 2025—outperforming regional commercial broadcasters such as ITV. This U.K. revenue represented approximately 19.4% of total EMEA revenue and 6.2% of Netflix’s total global revenue.

With over 18 million local subscribers, the United Kingdom is Netflix's second-largest market globally, behind the United States and Canada (UCAN). The latest price hikes highlight the streaming service's confidence in its pricing power within key European markets as it balances heavy investments in local content with profitability goals.

NFLX Stock: Retail View

Retail sentiment on Stocktwits was ‘neutral’ with ‘normal’ message volumes. NFLX stock has lost 16% year-to-date.

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

Roth said August data reflects a rebound from seasonal weakness in leisure and hospitality employment during the previous two months.

The U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs in August.

Roth expects inflation to cool toward the “mid- to high twos” in coming months.

Wolfe Research Chief Economist Stephanie Roth reportedly said that while Friday’s surprisingly strong U.S. jobs report will have an impact, the Federal Reserve’s decision on interest rates will ultimately hinge on inflation.

The strong report pushed investors to increase bets on another rate hike. The CME FedWatch Tool showed the probability of a 25-basis-point hike at the Fed’s September 15-16 meeting rising to about 60.4%, from 49.4% a day earlier.

However, Roth said that it is unlikely that the Fed will hike rates based on the Jobs data. “I think the hawkish price action may be taking the print a little bit too far,” Roth told Bloomberg TV on Friday.

August Jobs Report A Rebound From Seasonal Weakness

The U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs in August, nearly triple the 56,000 increase economists polled by Reuters had expected. The unemployment rate remained at 4.1%, while July payrolls were revised to a gain of 21,000 from a previously reported decline of 23,000.

Roth, however, said part of August’s strength reflected a rebound from seasonal weakness in leisure and hospitality employment during the previous two months.

“The fact that it bounced back doesn’t really imply that much happening under the surface,” she said.

Inflation Data Will Be Deciding Factor

Roth said the report confirms that the labor market is “not something to worry about,” but argued that inflation will be more important for the Fed.

“Realistically, it’s going to be the inflation data that’s going to dictate what the Fed does,” she said. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to release August Consumer Price Index data on September 11, just days before the Fed meeting.

Roth expects inflation to cool toward the “mid- to high twos” in coming months as some earlier pressures from seasonal factors, tariffs, the Iran war and chip shortages fade.

“So, long story short, we’re probably gonna see an environment where inflation is running in the sort of mid to high twos, which is obviously not where they want to be, but not quite at the 3-plus percent range as core PCE is currently printed,” she said.

U.S. equities fell following the jobs report. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) dipped 0.45%, the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA) fell 0.50%, while the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) moved marginally lower.

Retail sentiment around SPY trended in ‘bearish’ territory over the past 24 hours, while sentiment around QQQ changed to ‘bullish’ from ‘neutral’ territory.

Also read: TSLA Stock Slides 6% — Wells Fargo Says Cybercab Launch Likely Fell Short Of Investor Expectations

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com<

Nvidia is paying approximately $11.9 billion for Hugging Face, with an additional retention program worth up to $1 billion for employees joining Nvidia.

Needham said Nvidia is gaining access to a critical part of the AI development process where developers discover, download and deploy models.

Raymond James compared Hugging Face to a combination of GitHub, an app store and a model registry, highlighting its role in the AI ecosystem.

Nvidia (NVDA) shares were on track to reach a two-month high in early trading Friday after analysts backed the chipmaker’s $12.93 billion acquisition of AI platform Hugging Face, saying the deal gives Nvidia greater access to the software and developer ecosystem around AI models.

In a note to investors cited by StreetInsider, Needham analyst Rajvindra Gill maintained a ‘Buy’ rating and $300 price target on Nvidia, stating the company is paying for access to a key part of the AI development process rather than simply acquiring Hugging Face’s existing earnings.

Raymond James also viewed the deal positively, maintaining a ‘Strong Buy’ rating. The firm said while the acquisition was "largely immaterial" for Nvidia’s balance sheet, it was a "strategically valuable move.” It added that the deal was "less about buying revenue and more about controlling a critical entry point in the AI model ecosystem and development process."

NVDA stock gained as much as 1.5% in pre-market trade. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the AI bellwether fell to ‘bearish’ from ‘neutral’ territory over the past day.
NVDA stock price performance year-to-date and pre-market on September 4 as of 8:00 a.m. ET | Source: TradingView
Nvidia Expands Beyond AI Chips

Raymond James described Hugging Face as combining elements of “GitHub + an app store + a model registry,” noting its role in distributing and managing AI models.

Gill said the deal gives Nvidia control of “a critical entry point in the AI model ecosystem and development process.” Hugging Face is where developers discover, download, evaluate and deploy AI models, giving Nvidia a direct connection to developers building AI applications.

Nvidia agreed to pay about $11.9 billion to Hugging Face shareholders, with another $1 billion in stock-based incentives intended to retain employees. The total value of the transaction is about $12.93 billion.

Nvidia said Hugging Face will remain an open platform following the acquisition. The company supports multiple hardware and cloud providers, meaning developers are not required to use Nvidia hardware. Maintaining that neutrality will be important to preserving the platform’s appeal.

Why Hugging Face Matters

The move comes after Huang said during the company’s second-quarter (Q2) earnings call that he “regrets” not having investing in Anthropic and OpenAI, calling it them a “once in a generation opportunity.”

Nvidia has been expanding its partnerships across the AI ecosystem. In January, it participated as a strategic investor in xAI’s $20 billion Series E round, and in August it unveiled financing platforms with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR to mobilize more than $500 billion for AI data‑center buildouts.

According to a report by The Information, Nvidia is in talks to invest about $2.5 billion in Thinking Machines Lab, the AI startup founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, which is seeking to raise roughly $1 billion at a pre‑money valuation near $40 billion.

Read also: LULU, JD, BABA Stocks: Michael Burry Names 3 ‘Fat Pitches’ After Selloff

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

However, Tesla has not disclosed how many vehicles will initially be available.

Wells Fargo noted that about 45 Cybercabs were registered in Texas around the launch.

The rollout also comes as Tesla tries to close the gap with Alphabet’s Waymo, which has built a substantially larger U.S. autonomous-vehicle operation. Meanwhile, GLJ Research reiterated a ‘Sell’ rating, adding that the event was a “sell‑the‑news” moment, according to TipRanks.

NHTSA Opens Cybercab Inquiry

On Friday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened an Audit Query to investigate Tesla’s certification that its new Cybercab meets all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards

The inquiry will examine the technical data and processes Tesla used to self-certify a vehicle without traditional human controls, including whether Tesla determined that some existing safety requirements do not apply to Cybercab.

Gary Black Warns Tesla Investors Against Ignoring Valuation

Meanwhile, Gary Black warned Tesla retail investors not to confuse their love for the company with the stock’s valuation.

“Loving the company doesn’t mean you should love the stock,” he said in a post on X, adding that investors should conduct their own research rather than rely on management’s promises.

Earlier, he had said that “despite efforts to control the narrative, Tesla‘s Cybercab event was largely a bust.”

Retail’s Take On TSLA

Retail sentiment surrounding TSLA on Stocktwits changed to ‘neutral’ from ‘bullish,’ amid ‘high’ message volumes.

One user said a serious Cybercab accident, shutdown, or regulatory headline over the long weekend could send TSLA quickly towards $300.
  View this Stocktwits post
TSLA shares have slumped more than 21% so far in 2026, the worst-performing Mag 7 stock.

Also read: Planet Labs Is ‘On A Roll’ In Defense And Intelligence, Says Craig-Hallum — Why Did The Firm Shave Its Target By Over 28%?

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com<

Wall Street brokerage Citigroup pushed back its forecast for the Federal Reserve’s initial 25-basis-point rate reduction from October 2026 to June 2027.

Nonfarm payrolls expanded by 162,000 jobs in August—surpassing consensus estimates—while the unemployment rate remained stable at 4.1%.

September hike odds rise to 60.4%, up from 49.4%, CME FedWatch shows

Citigroup pushed back its forecast for the Federal Reserve’s next interest-rate cut to mid-2027, citing strong U.S. employment figures that signal continued strength in the labor market and diminish the rationale for near-term monetary easing.

The brokerage previously anticipated quarter-point reductions in October and December 2026, followed by another in January 2027. Under its revised baseline projection, Citigroup now foresees three consecutive 25-basis-point rate cuts occurring in June, September, and December of 2027.

U.S. equities were mixed in morning trade on Friday following the jobs report. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) dipped 0.23%, the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA) fell 0.50%, while the Nasdaq-100 tracking Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) moved 0.41% higher.

The iShares 20+ year Treasury ETF (TLT) was up 0.5%.

Strong Employment Advances Shift Policy Baseline

Citi’s forecast update followed a Labor Department report showing U.S. nonfarm payrolls rose by 162,000 in August, topping all projections in Bloomberg and Reuters surveys. Furthermore, upward revisions erased prior estimates of job losses in July, signaling stronger hiring momentum. The national unemployment rate remained steady at 4.1%.

Citigroup economists Andrew Hollenhorst and Veronica Clark noted in a client communication that the data reinforces a picture of labor market stability, with a steady unemployment rate and a notable rebound in labor force participation. Consequently, policymakers are expected to view employment conditions as solid and redirect their core focus toward managing persistent inflation.

Market Expectations And Central Bank Outlook

The strong employment figures prompted financial markets to recalibrate expectations for central bank policy. Pricing in federal funds futures markets shifted to reflect an approximate 60% probability that Federal Reserve officials will raise rates at their upcoming policy meeting on September 15–16, up from roughly 50% prior to the report's release.

September hike odds rise to 60.4%, up from 49.4%, CME FedWatch shows

Despite the labor market gains, analysts emphasize that a rate increase later this month remains far from guaranteed. Because wage growth slowed year over year and the employment data did not immediately show renewed wage-driven price pressure, central bank officials are waiting for key inflation gauges before committing to their next move.

Upcoming Inflation Data Key To Fed Decision

The Federal Reserve's path forward is expected to depend heavily on Producer Price Index (PPI) and Consumer Price Index (CPI) reports scheduled for release next week.

Federal Open Market Committee members remain divided over the appropriate monetary policy setting following their July meeting, where three officials dissented in favor of a quarter-point rate increase, while the majority voted to hold borrowing costs steady. Economists note that warmer-than-expected inflation reports could compel the central bank to hike rates, while softer readings would likely persuade policymakers to maintain current rate levels.

Retail sentiment around SPY trended in ‘bearish’ territory over the past day, while sentiment around QQQ improved to ‘bullish’ from ‘neutral’ territory.

For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.<

According to Trump, the U.S. should have the “lowest rate of any country in the world,” reviving his argument that the country’s economic strength warrants cheaper financing.

Trump called Friday’s data a “great jobs number,” adding that it was “breaking all estimates.”

August jobs report showed 162,000 new jobs and the unemployment rate steady at 4.1%.

President Donald Trump renewed his push for lower interest rates Friday, but this time linked his demand to a new trade threat, saying the U.S. could stop trading with countries that run surpluses with America if the Federal Reserve does not cut rates.

“Lower the rate or I’ll stop trading with countries with which we have a deficit,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, adding that a stronger U.S. economy and credit profile should justify lower borrowing costs. According to the President, the approach would be “better than tariffs.”

The comments came after the August jobs report, which showed the U.S. economy added 162,000 jobs, well above the 56,000 increase economists had expected. The unemployment rate held at 4.1%.
    Source: @realDonaldTrump/TruthSocial
Trump Hails Jobs Report, Calls For Lower Rates

Trump called Friday’s data a “great jobs number,” adding that it was “breaking all estimates.” According to him, the strength of the U.S. economy should translate into lower borrowing costs for the country.

“A strong country means a lower interest rate - it’s a better credit,” Trump wrote. He also reiterated calls for the U.S. to have the “lowest rate of any country in the World,” harking back to what he described as “the old days.”

The comments add to Trump's ongoing pressure on the Fed to lower interest rates. The central bank, however, has maintained that monetary policy decisions are based on its assessment of inflation, employment and broader economic conditions rather than political demands.

Fed Outlook Hinges On Jobs, Inflation

In an interview with CNBC, White House NEC director Kevin Hassett said the next major test will be the consumer price index (CPI) due next week. “If the CPI continues to be that favorable in the next report, the argument for holding steady would be pretty strong,” he stated.

His comments come after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller said Thursday that the central bank could keep rates steady if inflation continues to cool. At a separate Reuters event, he also noted that liquid U.S. government debt no longer commands a premium, thereby raising the neutral level of interest rates.

U.S. equities were mixed in morning trade on Friday following the jobs report. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) dipped 0.23%, the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (DIA) fell 0.50%, while the Nasdaq-100 tracking Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) moved 0.41% higher.

SPY and QQQ were among the top trending tickers on Stocktwits at the time of writing.
