March 30 is celebrated as World Idli Day, a special day dedicated to one of India's most loved breakfast dishes. The day was first celebrated in 2015 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. What makes it even more interesting is the story of the man behind it - M Eniyavan. His journey is not just about food, but also about hard work, creativity and never giving up.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Eniyavanidly (@eniyavanidly)

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Eniyavanidly (@eniyavanidly)

A simple meeting that changed everything

Eniyavan’s life took a turning point in an unexpected way. Years ago, when he was working as an auto-rickshaw driver, he once picked up a passenger carrying a large container of idli batter. Her name was Chandra, and she supplied idlis to local eateries. Watching her work gave him a new idea. He realised that the idli business could be started by anyone with simple resources.

This moment inspired him to try something new, according to an article published in Indian Express.

Also Read: Valmiki Became 'Sultan' To Escape Law, But After 21 Years On The Run, Police Finally Catch Up

From struggle to starting his own business

Eniyavan came to Chennai in 1997 at the age of 27, hoping to build a better life and escape poverty. He tried different small jobs before becoming an auto driver. Inspired by Chandra, he decided to start making and selling idlis from his home in RK Nagar.

However, his journey was not easy. On the very first day of his business, heavy rains flooded his house. The water entered his kitchen, damaged his idli steamer and spoiled the batter.

Despite this setback, he did not give up. He repaired his equipment over the next 20 days and restarted his work with determination.

Adding creativity to a simple dish

What made Eniyavan stand out was his creativity. He did not want idli to remain just a basic breakfast item. The idea of innovation started at home. When his daughter asked for pizza, he created an idli version of it by adding vegetables and spices to the batter. She loved it.

This encouraged him to try more ideas. He made chocolate idlis, pudina (mint) idlis and even beetroot idlis to make food more interesting for his children. He also experimented with ingredients. For example, he used tender coconut water instead of plain water while preparing the batter, making the idlis both tasty and healthy.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Eniyavanidly (@eniyavanidly)

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Eniyavanidly (@eniyavanidly)

Taking idli to a bigger stage

His passion kept growing. In 2012, his catering company designed special heart-shaped idli plates on February 14. Later, he organised a unique event where he displayed 1,000 different varieties of idlis at Vivekananda Vidyalaya Junior College.

The event attracted around 14,000 people and received wide attention. Many were surprised to see how a simple idli could be turned into so many forms.

This event became a major step in promoting idli on a larger scale.

Also Read: 'It Was My First Accident': Jaipur Woman Says Sorry After Damaging Motorcycle in Viral Video (WATCH)

How world idli day was born

Impressed by his efforts, Rajamani, president of Samayal Sangam, declared March 30 as World Idli Day. The first celebration took place in 2015 in Chennai. Since then, the day has been observed every year, with people celebrating the taste and comfort of idlis.

Eniyavan believes idli is not just food, but an emotion. He says it is so soft and comforting that even babies who refuse milk can be fed mashed idlis.

A life changed by passion

Eniyavan’s life has changed completely over the years. From struggling to survive, he now travels, stays in good hotels and is invited to speak at colleges. He has also built a better life for his family and educated his children.

Looking ahead, he plans to expand his business further by opening hotels across Chennai. His goal is to make idli recognised not just as a breakfast item, but as a global food.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Eniyavanidly (@eniyavanidly)

A story that inspires

Eniyavan’s journey shows how a simple idea and strong determination can change a person’s life. From a chance meeting to creating a global food day, his story continues to inspire many.

On World Idli Day, his journey reminds us that even the simplest things can achieve great success.

After the ride ended, she alleged that the driver began calling her continuously.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Shaivya Vashishtha (@zerosecondsleft)

Claims of repeated contact

Shaivya stated that even after blocking his number, she started receiving calls and messages from different numbers. She further claimed that at one point, the driver made a video call from a bathroom. She described this as deeply traumatising.

Her video post quickly gained attention online. Many users expressed anger and concern in the comments. Several women also shared their own experiences of uncomfortable rides, saying that travelling late at night often feels unsafe despite safety claims made by ride platforms.

Rapido issues public response

Following the viral post, Rapido responded publicly in the comments section.

The company said the behaviour described was “completely unacceptable.” It added that customer mobile numbers are masked on the platform for privacy reasons.

Rapido asked Shaivya to share her registered mobile number and ride details through direct message so that the matter could be investigated urgently.

In its message, the company said:

It was truly sorry she had to face such a distressing experience.

No one should feel unsafe during or after a ride.

The concern would be taken seriously.

The driver’s behaviour was not acceptable on the platform.

It would take appropriate action against the captain involved.

Rapido repeated that customer numbers are masked and requested full details to move forward with the inquiry.

Online reactions and wider discussion

The incident has triggered strong reactions online. Many users tagged the company and asked for strict action.

Some users wrote that the matter needed serious investigation. Others expressed fear about late-night travel. Several comments focused on passenger safety, privacy, and platform responsibility.

One user suggested that people should report such matters to the cyber crime portal and local police. Another user mentioned muting unknown video calls on messaging apps for safety. Some users shared their own similar experiences.

The discussion also included concerns about data privacy and how contact information might be accessed. One commenter explained that UPI transactions may reveal certain details, and suggested changing UPI settings for added privacy.

Broader concerns about women’s safety

The viral post has once again brought attention to safety during late-night travel. Many users said women often feel vulnerable while travelling alone.

The conversation online focused on the need for stronger safety systems, quick action from companies, and better protection for passengers.

The incident has also raised questions about how ride platforms handle complaints and what steps are taken after reports are filed.

The allegations shared by Shaivya Vashishtha have sparked a major online discussion about safety and accountability in ride services. Rapido has responded and asked for details to investigate the matter. While the company says it takes such concerns seriously, the case continues to draw attention and debate about passenger safety and privacy in India’s growing ride-hailing sector.

In 2018 and 2019, when he was a minister, he dressed as Lord Shiva and visited temples in Patna and Baba Dham in Deoghar.

A shift in focus

In recent times, however, his social media content shows a stronger focus on Shiva devotion. Many people believe this marks a shift from his earlier Krishna bhakti to a more Shaivite path.

Some social media users have even described him as a “saint-like figure” due to his saffron clothes, rudraksha beads, and calm manner in videos.

Tej Pratap’s spiritual turn comes after a difficult period in his personal and political life. He was removed from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) before the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. He also had differences with his family, including his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav.

After leaving RJD, he formed his own party, Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD), where he serves as the national president. However, he did not achieve success in the elections and lost by a large margin.

These setbacks are believed by some to have pushed him closer to spirituality.

Tej Pratap is also active on social media and has tried different roles over time.

A viral claim on social media suggested that Air India had cancelled all its international flights until July. The posts spread quickly and caused concern among travellers. Many users also claimed that the cancellations were due to a fuel shortage. The airline has now issued a clear clarification. It has denied the reports and said that the claims are false.

Official denial from Air India

Air India stated that it has not cancelled all its international services. In an official message shared on its X handle, the airline described the viral reports as malicious and fabricated. The company clearly said that there is no complete shutdown of international flights until July. It urged passengers to rely only on official communication channels for correct and updated information.

The airline’s statement was aimed at stopping the spread of false news and reducing confusion among passengers.

Where the confusion started

The misunderstanding appears to have begun with a viral social media post claiming that all international flights were cancelled due to a fuel shortage. This message was widely shared, which increased concern.

#FakeNews Alert: Malicious and fabricated claims circulating on certain platforms alleging that Air India has cancelled all international flights are completely false and baseless. For accurate information, please rely only on official Air India channels. pic.twitter.com/GqjjPfWeeI

— Air India Newsroom (@AirIndia_News) May 12, 2026

At the same time, there have been reports in recent weeks that Air India has reduced or adjusted some international routes. These changes may have added to the confusion. However, the airline explained that scaling back some routes is not the same as cancelling all international services.

The adjustments are selective and temporary. They affect only certain routes and flight frequencies, not the entire global network.

Reasons behind route adjustments

According to reports, Air India has been reducing parts of its international operations due to several challenges. These include:

Rising aviation turbine fuel prices

Airspace restrictions linked to the ongoing West Asia conflict

Longer flight routes, which increase fuel use

Pressure on the profitability of certain long-haul routes

Reports also state that more than 500 international flights were cut during April and May. Separately, out of over 1,000 daily operations, around 100 flights are expected to face temporary reductions or rescheduling.

These changes are part of operational adjustments and not a total shutdown.

International services continue

Despite these schedule changes, Air India continues to operate flights to major destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia.

However, passengers may notice some changes, including:

Fewer weekly flights on certain routes

Schedule changes or rescheduling

Temporary suspension of select sectors

The airline has made it clear that it remains active in global markets. The network continues to function, although with some capacity adjustments.

Specific route suspension

Separately, flights on certain routes, such as Tel Aviv–Delhi, remain suspended until the end of June. This suspension is linked to ongoing regional tensions. This is a specific route decision and not related to a full international cancellation.

Advice for passengers

Air India has advised passengers to check flight status through its official website and verified communication channels. The airline stressed that social media posts can sometimes contain unverified or incorrect information.

At a time when airline schedules may change due to fuel costs, global events, and operational needs, passengers are encouraged to confirm details directly from the airline.

The key point is that Air India has not cancelled all international flights. It continues to operate worldwide services while making selective and temporary adjustments where needed.

WHO has declared Ebola outbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo a global health emergency after suspected cases rose to around 246 with 80 reported deaths. The outbreak involves Bundibugyo strain, which currently has no approved vaccine or treatment.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the latest Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s eastern Ituri province a public health emergency of international concern. The decision came after rising infections, deaths and fears that the virus could spread further across borders.

According to WHO, around 246 suspected cases and 80 deaths have been reported so far. The outbreak has already spread beyond Congo, with two confirmed cases reported in neighbouring Uganda.

However, WHO has clarified that the situation does not currently meet the conditions of a “pandemic emergency.” Still, global health officials are worried because many questions remain unanswered about the actual number of infections and how widely the virus may already have spread.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said there are 'significant uncertainties' regarding both the real number of infected people and the geographic spread of the outbreak.

The current outbreak is linked to the Bundibugyo virus strain of Ebola, for which there are no approved vaccines or specific treatments yet.

The announcement has again brought global attention to Ebola, one of the world’s deadliest viral diseases.

Ebola is a rare but severe viral disease that affects humans and can often be fatal, according to WHO.

The illness is caused by viruses belonging to the Orthoebolavirus group of the filoviridae family. Scientists have identified six different species of these viruses, but three are mainly responsible for major outbreaks in humans. These are:

Ebola virus (EBOV)

Sudan virus (SUDV)

Bundibugyo virus (BDBV)

The current outbreak in Congo is caused by the Bundibugyo virus.

Ebola first appeared in 1976 during two outbreaks that happened at the same time in Africa. One outbreak occurred in what is now South Sudan, while the other took place in Yambuku in present-day Democratic Republic of Congo.

The disease was named after the nearby Ebola River.

WHO declared the outbreak a global health emergency because of the growing risk of international spread and the uncertainty surrounding the outbreak. Health officials are especially concerned because:

There are already hundreds of suspected cases.

The death toll has risen quickly.

Cases have spread into Uganda.

The outbreak involves a strain without approved vaccines or medicines.

Border regions have heavy travel and trade movement.

Countries neighbouring Congo are considered high-risk zones because many people travel across borders daily for work, trade and family reasons.

WHO said the outbreak currently includes eight laboratory-confirmed cases, while many more remain suspected.

The confirmed cases are spread across three health zones, including Bunia, the capital of Ituri province, and the gold-mining towns of Mongwalu and Rwampara.

Mining areas are especially concerning because workers often travel frequently, making disease control harder.

The Bundibugyo strain is causing extra concern because no approved vaccines or drugs currently exist for it.

For the Ebola virus strain responsible for earlier outbreaks, there are approved vaccines and treatments. However, for Bundibugyo virus disease and Sudan virus disease, scientists are still developing vaccines and medicines.

WHO said candidate vaccines and treatments are under development, but none are officially approved yet.

This means doctors mainly rely on supportive medical care to help patients survive.

How does Ebola spread?

Scientists believe fruit bats are the natural hosts of Ebola viruses.

The virus can spread to humans through contact with infected wild animals, including bats, chimpanzees, gorillas, monkeys, forest antelope and porcupines.

Once humans are infected, the disease spreads from person to person through direct contact with bodily fluids such as:

Blood

Vomit

Sweat

Saliva

Urine

Faeces

Semen

People can also get infected by touching contaminated surfaces, clothing or bedding used by infected patients.

Importantly, Ebola does not spread before symptoms begin. However, infected people remain contagious as long as the virus stays in their blood and body fluids.

Burial ceremonies involving direct contact with the bodies of victims have also caused many outbreaks in the past.

Healthcare workers face especially high risks when infection control measures are not strictly followed.

Symptoms can appear anywhere between 2 and 21 days after infection. The disease often begins suddenly. Early symptoms include:

Fever

Fatigue

Weakness

Muscle pain

Headache

Sore throat

As the illness worsens, patients may develop:

Vomiting

Diarrhoea

Stomach pain

Rash

Liver problems

Kidney problems

Many people think Ebola always causes bleeding, but WHO says this is less common than widely believed.

In severe cases, patients may experience internal or external bleeding, including blood in vomit or stool, bleeding gums or bleeding from the nose.

Some patients also suffer confusion, aggression and nervous system problems.

Ebola symptoms are very similar to several other diseases common in Africa, including:

Malaria

Typhoid fever

Meningitis

Shigellosis

Other viral fevers

Because of this, laboratory testing is necessary to confirm infection. Doctors use tests such as:

RT-PCR tests

ELISA tests

Antigen detection tests

Virus isolation methods

Handling samples from Ebola patients is extremely dangerous. Laboratories must use the highest safety standards because the virus is highly infectious.

What treatment is available?

There is currently no approved treatment specifically for Bundibugyo virus disease. However, WHO says early supportive care can greatly improve survival chances. Supportive treatment includes:

Rehydration

Pain management

Nutrition support

Treating other infections like malaria

Oxygen support

Monitoring organ function

WHO has approved certain monoclonal antibody treatments for Ebola virus disease caused by the EBOV strain, including:

Ansuvimab

Inmazeb

But these are not approved for Bundibugyo virus disease.

Researchers are continuing work on new medicines and clinical trials.

Are vaccines available?

Vaccines exist for the Ebola virus strain responsible for some earlier outbreaks.

Approved vaccines include:

Ervebo

Zabdeno

Mvabea

The Ervebo vaccine is widely used during Ebola outbreaks and can be supplied internationally through emergency vaccine programmes.

However, no approved vaccine currently exists for the Bundibugyo strain involved in the present outbreak.

Scientists are still developing candidate vaccines.

WHO says community cooperation is the key to stopping outbreaks. Health authorities use several measures together, including:

Early patient isolation

Contact tracing

Laboratory testing

Infection control

Safe burials

Public awareness campaigns

Vaccination where available

People are advised to avoid direct contact with infected individuals and wild animals that may carry the virus.

Communities are also encouraged to follow hygiene measures and quickly report suspected symptoms.

Why healthcare workers are at high risk

Doctors, nurses and health workers often face major risks during Ebola outbreaks because they come into close contact with infected patients.

Without proper protective equipment, healthcare workers can easily become infected through blood or bodily fluids.

WHO says strict infection control rules are essential, including:

Hand hygiene

Use of masks and gloves

Protective clothing

Safe handling of needles

Safe disposal of contaminated materials

Laboratory workers also require special training and high-security facilities while handling Ebola samples.

What happens to Ebola survivors?

Many Ebola survivors continue facing health problems even after recovery. Some patients develop long-term complications affecting:

Eyes

Brain

Mental health

Nervous system

WHO says survivors should receive counselling, medical care and support to help them return to normal life.

The virus can also remain in certain parts of the body for months after recovery.

Ebola transmission through semen has been documented up to 15 months after recovery in some cases.

Because of this, WHO advises safer sexual practices and regular testing for male survivors.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women who recover from Ebola also need special medical monitoring.

Why this outbreak matters globally

Although the current outbreak is mainly centred in Congo and Uganda, health experts are watching closely because infectious diseases can spread rapidly in today’s interconnected world.

The 2014–2016 Ebola outbreak in West Africa killed more than 11,000 people and showed how dangerous uncontrolled outbreaks can become.

Modern travel, crowded cities, weak healthcare systems and cross-border movement increase the risk of wider spread.

WHO’s emergency declaration is meant to help countries prepare early rather than react late.

The declaration allows governments and international agencies to mobilise funding, medical teams and public health support faster.

What people should remember

WHO has stressed that Ebola is serious but controllable if countries act quickly.

The organisation has also reminded people that Ebola does not spread through the air like COVID-19. It mainly spreads through direct contact with infected bodily fluids.

Early medical care, rapid isolation, contact tracing and public awareness remain the most important tools in stopping outbreaks.

At present, health agencies are closely monitoring the situation in Congo and neighbouring countries while researchers continue working on vaccines and treatments for the Bundibugyo strain.

The coming weeks will be important in determining whether health officials can contain the outbreak before it spreads further.

Twelve-year-old Lakshmipriya Sahoo died at Puri District Headquarters Hospital after severe complications suspected to be linked to long-term head lice infestation. She had suffered for months and was hospitalised after vomiting blood.

A 12-year-old girl died at the Puri District Headquarters Hospital on Saturday night after developing serious health complications that doctors suspect may be linked to a severe head lice infestation. Health authorities have ordered a detailed probe to find the exact cause of death.

The girl has been identified as Lakshmipriya Sahoo, a resident of Champagada Sahi under Balanga block in Odisha’s Puri district. She was a Class VI student at a local school.

According to her family, Lakshmipriya had been suffering from lice infestation for the past few months. They said several attempts were made to treat the condition, but there was no clear improvement, according to a report by The Times of India.

Her mother, Satyabhama, said the infestation had badly affected the girl’s scalp. Because of embarrassment and discomfort, Lakshmipriya started covering her head with a scarf while going to school.

In recent days, a strong foul smell was noticed from her scalp. Due to this, she stopped attending classes. Her mother said she had advised the child to shave her head, but she refused.

The family also said that Lakshmipriya had very thick hair, which made it difficult for them to realise how serious the infestation had become. She also avoided going outside because she felt uncomfortable and ashamed.

Health condition worsened before hospitalisation

On Friday, Lakshmipriya suddenly began vomiting blood. The family rushed her to the District Headquarters Hospital. Doctors prescribed medicines for lice treatment and also gave treatment to control the vomiting.

However, her condition continued to deteriorate. Despite medical care, she died on Saturday night.

Her death has shocked the local community and raised concerns about how a common problem like lice could lead to such serious complications.

Puri Chief District Medical Officer Dr Akshay Satapathy said the girl may have died either due to a reaction to medicines used for lice treatment or due to septicaemia caused by a severe scalp infection, according to a TOI report. He explained that repeated scratching can create wounds on the scalp, which can become infected. If such infections are not treated in time, they can spread in the body and become life-threatening.

He added that the exact cause of death can only be confirmed after a detailed investigation and medical review. He also said he did not yet have full details of the case.

Dr Chandra Sekhar Sirka, a dermatology professor at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, told The Times of India a secondary infection may have developed after the lice infestation.

Senior dermatologist Dr Maitreyee Panda also said that severe lice infestation can lead to serious health complications. She explained that infections can occur when the scalp is damaged due to constant itching and scratching. In rare cases, this may lead to sepsis, which is a dangerous body-wide infection.

Past study highlights rare but serious outcomes

A 2022 study titled The Darker Side of Head Lice Infestations, published in the journal Clinics in Dermatology, reported the death of a 12-year-old girl in Georgia. In that case, the child suffered an apparent cardiac arrest, and the secondary cause was found to be severe anaemia linked to extensive head lice infestation.

Experts say such extreme outcomes are rare but show that untreated or severe cases can sometimes become dangerous.

Head lice are usually a common and treatable problem, especially among school children. In most cases, they cause itching and discomfort but do not lead to serious illness. However, if the infestation becomes very severe and continues for a long time, constant scratching can create open wounds on the scalp.

These wounds can get infected by bacteria. If the infection spreads into the blood, it may lead to septicaemia, which is life-threatening. In rare situations, heavy infestation can also contribute to severe anaemia or other complications. Doctors stress that early treatment, good hygiene, and medical care can prevent such dangerous outcomes.

Ever wondered what actor R. Madhavan eats for breakfast, especially during the scorching summer months? In a recent interview, the actor revealed his favourite morning meal, a simple, healthy choice that keeps him energised throughout the day.

At 55, R. Madhavan continues to impress fans with his fitness and healthy lifestyle. The actor believes that simple, home-style food is the real secret behind staying energetic. During the summer months, he prefers starting his day with a traditional dish called Kanji, a light and cooling rice-based breakfast loved in many South Indian homes.

Kanji is made using leftover rice soaked in water overnight. Madhavan says the dish is filling yet extremely light on the stomach. It helps keep hunger away for hours while also cooling the body in hot weather. Because it is easy to digest and naturally refreshing, it has long been considered a perfect breakfast during peak summer.

To prepare Kanji, leftover rice is soaked overnight in water. In the morning, a tempering is made with oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and a pinch of hing. This tadka is added to the rice along with curd, chopped onions, green chillies, and salt, creating a wholesome and flavourful meal.

According to Madhavan, this humble dish provides stable energy throughout the morning. It keeps the body cool and supports digestion, which is especially helpful during hot days. Some people even believe that fermented rice meals like Kanji improve gut health and promote better sleep, making it a traditional yet highly nutritious breakfast option.

Madhavan has often spoken about his love for vegetarian food. Among his favourite breakfast dishes is the classic Idli, a staple in many South Indian households. From traditional urad dal idlis to healthier variations like oats or masala idli, the actor enjoys different versions of this soft and protein-rich dish.

Also Read: Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan mark 'Shaitaan's two years with a twist

He Enjoys Apart from Kanji and Idli, Madhavan enjoys several traditional South Indian breakfasts. These include Puttu, Pongal, Dosa, Rava Dosa, Urad Vada, Paddu, and Neer Dosa, usually served with coconut chutney. These simple yet nutritious dishes, he says, play a big role in maintaining his fitness and balanced lifestyle.

A new AI app called Just Like Me is going viral for offering users the chance to talk to a digital version of Jesus Christ for a fee. Trained on Bible, AI promises emotional support. While some users find comfort, experts warn about ethical risks.

From writing code to helping with daily tasks, artificial intelligence is making everyday life easier for many. Now, it has entered a new and sensitive space, religion. A new app called Just Like Me is trending online because it allows users to talk to an AI version of Jesus Christ.

The service is not free. Users can speak to the AI for about $1.99 (around ₹188) per minute. The idea of 'talking to God' using AI has surprised many people and started a wider discussion online.

How the app works

The app allows users to chat with different AI avatars, including spiritual leaders and even public figures like Donald Trump. The Jesus avatar is listed as “Jesus (With Love by AI)” on the platform.

Users can sign up, add their card details, and choose between a voice or video call. The platform offers two free minutes at the start. After that, users can continue with paid plans. One option includes a 3-day trial followed by a $49.99 package for 60 minutes, which reduces the cost per minute.

The AI version of Jesus is designed to appear calm and friendly. The avatar shows a man with shoulder-length hair, glowing in warm golden light, smiling gently while speaking.

The creator of the app, Chris Breed, said the look is inspired by actor Jonathan Roumie from the TV show The Chosen. The AI has been trained using the King James Bible and various sermons.

According to the app, the AI Jesus can help users deal with stress, fear, and questions about life. It claims to offer emotional support and guide people in finding meaning and self-worth.

Chris Breed believes people can form real emotional connections with the AI. He said users may feel a sense of responsibility while speaking to it, similar to praying. Over time, users may even see the AI as a friend.

Not just one faith

This is not the only platform offering such services. Another platform, ChatwithGod, allows users to chat with AI based on their religion and mood.

There has been a growing trend of AI tools designed around religion, including Hindu and Buddhist digital guides. These tools aim to offer comfort and advice in a simple way.

However, not everyone is comfortable with this idea. Experts have raised concerns about mixing faith with artificial intelligence.

Jeanne Lim has delayed releasing an AI Buddhist priest named Emi Jido. She wants to ensure the system is trained carefully with the right values.

In the past, Kyoto University created projects like BuddhaBot and Buddharoid, showing that the idea of AI in religion is not new. Still, many believe such tools must be handled with care.

One of the major efforts in this space is Magisterium AI, a chatbot trained on nearly 2,000 years of Catholic teachings, as mentioned by New York Post. It was created after many Christians began turning to tools like ChatGPT for spiritual advice.

At the same time, Pope Leo XIV has recognised the “human genius” behind artificial intelligence but warned that it could become one of the most serious challenges facing humanity. He has cautioned that AI may affect people’s thinking, behaviour, and even their spiritual growth.

These concerns are one reason why Jeanne Lim has not yet released Emi Jido, an AI designed to act as a Buddhist priest. Despite years of development, Lim believes such systems must be handled carefully. She compared the AI to a child, saying it needs proper training and strong values before being introduced to the public, the New York Post report added.

The AI has already undergone a formal ordination in 2024, led by Roshi Jundo Cohen, who continues to guide its development from Japan. He sees it as a helpful digital teacher rather than a replacement for real human interaction, describing it as “a Zen teacher in your pocket.”

Lim hopes to eventually make Emi Jido freely available, with a focus on building AI that reflects a wider range of cultures and values, not just Western perspectives.

Meanwhile, Seiji Kumagai, a Buddhist scholar, once believed that AI and religion could not work together. However, after being encouraged by a monk in 2014 to help address declining interest in Buddhism, he began exploring how technology might support faith instead of replacing it.

The rise of AI religious figures raises important questions. Can technology replace spiritual experiences? Should people rely on AI for guidance in personal matters?

While some users enjoy the convenience and comfort, others worry about trust, accuracy, and emotional dependence.

As AI continues to grow, its role in deeply personal areas like faith is likely to remain a topic of debate.

Thousands of visitors come every year to see Asiatic lions in their natural habitat. The Gir forest is the only place in the world where these lions live freely in the wild.

The forest is known for its rich biodiversity and wildlife experiences. Tourists visit to see lions, other animals, and the natural beauty of the area.

Safaris are organised to allow visitors to observe animals from a safe distance. However, wildlife remains active and unpredictable in its natural environment.

This incident once again shows the untamed nature of the Gir forest. Wildlife continues to live and hunt naturally in the area.

The close encounter reminded tourists that they were observing animals in the wild, not in a controlled environment. The event added excitement to the safari experience, even though it was unexpected.

The live hunt, captured in detail, has become one of the most discussed wildlife videos online in recent days.

The sudden lion and lioness hunt near a safari jeep at Sasan Gir Nature Safari Park left tourists shocked.

The approximately one-minute video from the incident has gone viral, showing the strength and speed of the big cats.

The event highlights the true wild nature of the Gir forest, where Asiatic lions continue to thrive in their natural home.

India is often introduced to first‑time travelers with cautionary tales and second‑hand warnings. Yet, every so often, someone arrives and quietly dismantles those preconceptions through genuine human encounters. Australian traveler Duncan McNaught has done exactly that, capturing India in a way that feels both intimate and celebratory.

In his Instagram reel, Duncan cleverly flips the narrative. “Be careful…India is dangerous. Dangerously kind, dangerously fun, dangerously rich in culture, dangerously happy, dangerously full of beautiful landscapes,” he says. The line turns a word of warning into a tribute, reframing India’s complexity as something unforgettable.

Unlike many tourists who document India from a distance, Duncan’s reel is immersive. He is seen laughing with locals in busy streets, dancing joyfully with children, and embracing spontaneous moments that require no shared language. These encounters highlight India’s unique ability to turn strangers into friends, even if only briefly.

Golden Temple reflections and contrasts

One of the most emotional segments takes Duncan to the Golden Temple. The pace of his video slows, contrasting the frenetic energy outside with the stillness inside. The temple’s serene environment underscores India’s duality: a country of sensory overload, but also of spirituality and contemplation.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Duncan McNaught (@duncan.mcnaught)

His travels continue across diverse landscapes. Shots of ziplining through snowy terrain and road trips to winter wonderlands emphasize India’s vast variety. Unexpected invitations to parties or gatherings further illustrate the openness of its people, where hospitality often comes without hesitation.

The online response to Duncan’s reel has been equally telling. One user commented, “Brother from another part of the world,” capturing the sense of belonging his journey evoked. Another praised him for sharing India’s culture without chasing views, while a third noted, “Finally someone who didn’t come with a stereotype in head.” These reactions reflect a collective appreciation for authenticity when it is genuinely seen.

Within a digital space often dictated by trends and algorithms, Duncan’s work feels refreshingly honest. His reel avoids curated tourist checklists, instead offering glimpses of everyday life that resonate deeply with viewers.

Ultimately, Duncan’s journey is not just about travel but perspective. He arrived with curiosity rather than caution and left with stories instead of stereotypes. His experiences reinforce a truth that India cannot be reduced to a single narrative. It is a country that challenges, surprises, and transforms those who engage with it openly.

Many praised the business idea.

A Delhi-based content creator decided to leave city life for the mountains and test a simple business idea. He turned a basic plate of Maggi into a one-day sales experiment to see how much money he could earn at a scenic hilltop location. The creator, Devansh Tyagi, is known for posting challenge-based videos on Instagram. In this project, he documented the full day of setting up a temporary Maggi stall and tracking his earnings.

Starting the challenge

In the video, Tyagi spoke directly to the camera and said, “Let’s see how much I can earn by selling Maggi in the mountains.” This marked the beginning of his experiment.

He then searched for a suitable scenic spot in the hills. After finding a location with a wide view of the mountains, he began building a makeshift stall from scratch.

He arranged packets of instant noodles for display. He placed tables and plastic chairs for customers to sit and eat. He also created a temporary cooking station overlooking the landscape.

Cooking setup and stream water debate

One part of the video showed Tyagi collecting water from a nearby mountain stream to cook the Maggi. This moment later became a topic of discussion online.

While many viewers focused on the business success, some raised concerns about hygiene and safety due to the use of stream water.

The water collection scene was widely shared and commented on, with mixed reactions from viewers.

Customers arrive

Soon after setting up, customers began visiting the stall. Hikers and tourists stopped by to try the food.

The video showed people sitting at the temporary stall, enjoying steaming bowls of Maggi while taking in the mountain view. Tyagi prepared each order fresh. He served customers and spoke with them as they ate.

Many customers appeared happy with the taste. Some complimented the food. Others seemed amused by finding a Maggi stall in the middle of the mountains.

Pricing details

Tyagi clearly mentioned his prices in the video:

Regular Maggi: Rs 100 per plate

Butter Maggi: Rs 120 per plate

These prices were part of the experiment, and customers paid for their orders during the day.

All stock sold out

As more visitors arrived, sales continued throughout the day. By the end of the experiment, all the Maggi packets had been sold.

The creator then revealed his total earnings. He claimed that he made Rs 24,000 in one day from selling about 225 plates of Maggi at the hilltop location.

This figure quickly caught attention online.

Online reactions

The video spread rapidly across social media platforms. Many viewers reacted to both the earnings and the unique business idea.

Some users joked that the video had discovered a new business model. They suggested that selling Maggi at tourist spots in scenic areas could be highly profitable.

Others reacted with humour, saying they would try the same idea but expected customers not to turn up if they did it.

However, not all reactions were positive. Several users focused on the stream water shown in the video. They questioned hygiene standards and safety practices. These viewers said everything seemed fine until the water collection scene appeared.

Some commenters expressed concern about food safety, especially when using natural water sources without clear treatment.

Comfort food in the mountains

Despite the debate, many Indian viewers said the idea felt familiar. Hot Maggi noodles are often linked with hill station trips and mountain travel.

For many people, eating warm noodles in cold weather with a mountain view is a common and comforting experience.

Devansh Tyagi’s one-day Maggi stall experiment has become a viral topic. The video showed how a simple idea, careful setup, and tourist demand helped him claim earnings of Rs 24,000 in a single day.

While many praised the creativity and business effort, others raised questions about hygiene and safety. The clip continues to generate discussion online about small businesses, content creation, and food practices in public spaces.

Ahmedabad is seeing a rise in DNA tests, with around 550 conducted yearly, mainly to confirm paternity. Once used for medical reasons, testing is now often sought for 'peace of mind' amid rising doubts. Health issues and legal disputes also drive demand. While most tests confirm biological links, costs remain high and cases cut across social groups

A growing number of people in Ahmedabad, Gujarat are turning to DNA tests to confirm biological relationships. Around 550 such tests are now conducted every year in the city, according to local laboratories and officials, as mentioned in a report by Gujarat Samachar. What was once mainly used for medical reasons is now increasingly being used to resolve personal doubts, especially about paternity.

Shift towards 'peace of mind' testing

Experts say there has been a clear shift in why people seek DNA tests. Earlier, testing was done mostly to diagnose genetic conditions. Now, many people request tests simply to confirm relationships.

In several cases, husbands who have doubts choose to take a paternity test to check if they are the biological father of a child. This growing trend reflects rising mistrust in some relationships.

Health concerns and legal cases

Doctors and lab experts say doubts often begin when a child shows certain health issues. Conditions like Thalassemia or Down syndrome, or unusual physical features, sometimes lead families to question parentage.

DNA tests are also being used more often in legal disputes. They are common in divorce cases, especially when there are disagreements over child support or custody.

Most of these cases involve couples aged between 30 and 40, with children usually between four and ten years old.

Role of private and government labs

Private genetic labs handle the majority of these cases. They conduct about 350 paternity-related tests every year in the city.

According to experts, results show that in around 60 to 70 percent of cases, the suspected father is confirmed to be the biological parent. However, in 30 to 40 percent of cases, the results reveal otherwise.

Government laboratories manage around 200 additional disputed cases each year, bringing the total to about 550 tests annually.

High cost limits access

The cost of DNA testing remains a major challenge. A single test can cost between ₹12,000 and ₹15,000. Testing both father and child together usually costs ₹25,000 to ₹30,000.

In more complex situations, such as those involving In Vitro Fertilisation or surrogacy, costs can go up to ₹45,000–₹50,000.

Experts believe more people would opt for testing if it were more affordable.

People from all backgrounds involved

Officials say this trend is not limited to wealthy or urban families. People from rural areas, labour groups and even other states are coming to Ahmedabad for DNA testing.

This shows that the issue cuts across different social and economic groups.

IVF and surrogacy concerns

Some cases involve couples who have used IVF or surrogacy. In these situations, doubts sometimes arise about possible errors or mix-ups during treatment.

There have been concerns that embryos may have been created using someone else’s genetic material. However, experts say that in about 90 percent of such cases, tests confirm that the intended parents are indeed the biological parents.

Impact on families and children

Experts warn that these cases often lead to emotional stress within families. Children are usually at the centre of such disputes.

Legal battles and personal conflicts can affect relationships deeply. Many cases go on for long periods, increasing tension within families.

A growing trend

The steady rise in DNA testing in Ahmedabad shows how science is now being used to answer personal questions. While it helps people find the truth, it also highlights deeper issues of trust, relationships and legal challenges in modern society.

A simple safari drive in India turned into a memorable cultural moment for a group of Italian tourists as they received an unexpected wedding invitation on the road. The viral video was shared on Instagram by Bologna-based traveller Mirela Cristina Murariu. In the clip, the tourists can be seen travelling through a dusty safari route when they notice a decorated car passing by. The vehicle appeared to be part of a wedding procession.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Mirela Cristina Murariu (@mirela_cristina_murariu)

At first, it looked like an ordinary roadside moment. But a few kilometres later, the same car returned and pulled up beside the tourists’ vehicle.

Groom personally invited the tourists

The groom himself leaned out of the window with a wide smile and warmly invited the tourists to attend his wedding. The spontaneous invitation surprised the group and quickly became the highlight of their day.

In her caption, Murariu wrote, “Sometimes all it takes is a honk to change the plans of the day or of life.”

She described the experience as one filled with “pure, overwhelming hospitality” without any barriers or formalities.

Murariu also said that moments like these show why India is not just a country people visit, but a place they truly experience through its people and culture. Her caption translated in English as:

Sometimes all it takes is a honk to change the plans of the day… or even your life! ✨

During our safari journey, with the wind in our hair, dust all around us, and adrenaline rushing through our veins, we passed a very special car. A few kilometres later, that same car honked at us and pulled alongside us. Then, the groom himself leaned out of the window with the biggest smile in the world and handed us an invitation to his wedding.

No formalities, no barriers. Just the overwhelming, pure and heartwarming hospitality of the Indian people. We arrived as tourists, but thanks to a chance meeting on the road, we suddenly became “guests of honour.”

India is not just a place you visit, it is something you experience. And today, it taught us that friendship can begin anywhere, even between roaring engines and the chaos of a road leading to the jungle.

#IncredibleIndia #WeddingInvitation #IndianHospitality #TravelStories #OnTheRoad #UnexpectedFriendships #SafariLife #TravelCommunity

Video crosses one million views

The video soon spread across Instagram and crossed more than 1.3 million views. Several comments linked the wedding procession to Gujarat after users noticed a Surat vehicle registration number on the car. Others believed the groom could be from Rajasthan because of traditional clothing details seen in the video.

One comment read, “Gujaratis are known for their welcoming nature.”

Another user wrote, “Welcome to India, this is Indian hospitality.”

Others said such moments only happen in India, while many users waited for a second video showing whether the tourists finally attended the wedding.

A feel-good moment online

The video has become one of the internet’s latest feel-good stories, with viewers enjoying the mix of travel, culture and unexpected kindness.

For many online users, the clip captured the joy, openness and festive spirit often associated with Indian weddings.

Nestled in the southernmost part of Goa, Cotigao offers a peaceful retreat far removed from the bustling beaches and lively party scenes for which the state is known. Surrounded by dense forests, quiet villages and unspoilt natural beauty, this lesser-known destination presents a refreshing side of Goa that feels calm, authentic and closely connected to nature. For travellers seeking to explore beyond the usual hotspots, Cotigao provides a tranquil and enriching experience.

Brief History of Cotigao

Cotigao derives its name from the Konkani words “koti” meaning fort and “gao” meaning village, indicating its historical background.

For many years, the region remained relatively untouched by large-scale tourism, helping preserve its natural surroundings and traditional way of life.

The area gained recognition after the establishment of the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary in 1968.

The sanctuary was set up to protect the rich biodiversity of the Western Ghats.

Located in the Canacona taluka, it is the southernmost protected forest area in Goa.

Over time, Cotigao has evolved into a prominent eco-tourism destination known for its dense forests and diverse wildlife.

Top Places To Visit

Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary: One of Goa’s largest protected areas, known for its dense forests, towering trees and diverse wildlife.

Talpona Beach: A quiet, unspoilt beach ideal for solitude, long walks and scenic sunsets.

Galgibaga Beach: Renowned for Olive Ridley turtle nesting, this beach offers a pristine and eco-sensitive environment.

Poinguinim Village: A charming village that reflects traditional Goan life, culture and simplicity.

Kuskem Waterfall: A hidden natural retreat surrounded by greenery, best visited during or just after the monsoon.

Treetop Watchtowers (Cotigao Sanctuary): These watchtowers offer a unique vantage point to observe wildlife and enjoy panoramic views of the forest canopy.

Things To Do

Explore forest trails and watchtowers within the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, and enjoy the serenity of dense woodlands

Spot wildlife such as deer, monkeys and a variety of exotic birds in their natural habitat

Enjoy peaceful beach walks along secluded stretches like Talpona Beach and Galgibaga Beach

Experience local village life in places like Poinguinim Village, and witness traditional Goan culture

Try nature photography and birdwatching, especially in the lush surroundings of the Western Ghats region

Best Time To Visit

October to March is the ideal time to visit Cotigao, with pleasant weather suitable for sightseeing and outdoor activities

November to February offers the most comfortable climate for exploring forests and nearby beaches

June to September, the monsoon season, transforms the region into a lush green landscape, enhancing its natural beauty

Monsoon travel can be challenging due to heavy rainfall and limited outdoor access

Summer months from April to May can be warm and humid, making daytime exploration less comfortable

How To Reach?

By Air: The nearest airport is Dabolim Airport, located about 90 km from Cotigao

By Rail: The closest railway station is Canacona Railway Station, which is well connected to major cities

By Road: Cotigao is well connected by road from key Goan towns such as Margao and Panaji

Getting Around

Renting a scooter or car is the most convenient way to explore Cotigao and nearby areas

Private transport offers flexibility to visit beaches, villages and forest trails at your own pace

Local buses are available but operate with limited frequency

Auto-rickshaws and taxis can be found, though they may not always be readily available

Planning travel in advance is advisable due to limited public transport options

Where To Stay?

Accommodation in Cotigao is simple, peaceful and close to nature

Options include eco-resorts, homestays and budget guesthouses

These stays offer a quiet and immersive experience away from crowds

Nearby areas like Canacona provide more accommodation choices

Palolem Beach offers a wider range of stays, from budget huts to boutique resorts

What To Eat?

Local cuisine in Cotigao is authentic, fresh and flavourful

Must-try dishes include Goan fish curry, prawn balchão and rice-based meals

Fresh seafood is widely available at small local eateries

Many places serve simple, home-cooked food that reflects traditional Goan flavours

Do not miss trying regional specialities made with coconut, spices and local ingredients

Why Cotigao Should Be On Your List?

Cotigao is an ideal destination for travellers seeking peace, natural beauty and an authentic Goan experience. Away from the crowded beaches of North Goa, it offers a slower pace of life, unspoilt surroundings and a chance to reconnect with nature. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, a solo traveller or simply looking to unwind, Cotigao provides a refreshing and memorable escape.

A travel blogger’s post about a messy flight from Bangkok to India has gone viral, starting a major discussion online about passenger behaviour and travel manners. Sandhya Majji, a travel vlogger with over 257,000 Instagram followers, shared a video showing the condition of the aircraft after landing. Her post quickly caught attention and divided opinions on social media.

What the blogger saw on the flight

In her post, Sandhya described being shocked by the state of the cabin. The video showed torn boarding passes, food waste and other rubbish scattered across seats and the floor.

She also spoke about an incident where a flight toilet was left in a very poor condition. According to her, urine was spread on the floor and wet tissues were thrown around. A flight attendant had to clean the mess by hand.

Sandhya said she felt sorry for the crew, who had to deal with such situations.

Also Read: It Was Not The Dosa! She said it is the responsibility of parents to control their children or clean up after them.

However, she added that it was not just children creating the mess. She claimed that adults were also leaving garbage behind on flights.

While she did not target any one group directly, she mentioned that such scenes were often seen on flights with a large number of Indian passengers. She even compared the condition of one flight to a village government bus.

Also Read: 3,700% Spike In Hate Crimes Against Sikhs In US Raises Alarm Over Targeted Violence

Internet reacts with mixed views

The post led to a heated debate online. Many users agreed with Sandhya and said such behaviour is common. One comment said people often assume that someone else will clean up after them. Others blamed parents for ignoring their children’s behaviour during flights.

At the same time, many people criticised Sandhya’s comments. Some said it was unfair to judge an entire country based on the actions of a few individuals. One user pointed out that she herself is part of the same population she was criticising.

Bigger question on travel manners

The incident has once again raised questions about basic travel etiquette and respect for public spaces.

A video from Uttarakhand showing an elderly man confronting tourists for throwing garbage from their car has gone viral on social media and earned widespread praise from viewers online. The incident reportedly took place on a busy road in Uttarakhand when traffic slowed down for a short time. In the viral video, the man can be seen stepping out of his vehicle after noticing that tourists in another car had allegedly thrown a glass and spoon onto the road.

    View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Anoop Nautiyal (@anoop_nautiyal)

The man was identified online as social activist Anoop Nautiyal.

Returning the trash to tourists, calmly!

The video was recorded by a person travelling in the same car as Nautiyal. As the clip begins, Nautiyal is seen walking towards the tourists' car to return the waste and make them understand.

Though the conversation between him and the tourists cannot be clearly heard in the video, the person recording explains what happened. He says the tourists threw trash out of their car and that Nautiyal had gone to return the waste and explain politely why littering is wrong.

The video shows Nautiyal speaking calmly to the tourists instead of shouting or arguing. After a brief conversation, he walks back to his own car.

Once seated back inside, the person recording asks him whether the tourists accepted their mistake. Nautiyal replies that they did.

“Yes, they accepted,” he says in the video. He further explains that he told them not to litter not only in Uttarakhand but anywhere else as well.

He also said the tourists looked educated and appeared slightly embarrassed after being confronted. “But what is wrong is wrong,” he added.

Social media users praise the act

The video quickly spread online, with many people praising Nautiyal for handling the situation respectfully and peacefully. Several users said such behaviour is necessary to protect Uttarakhand’s hills, roads and tourist places from increasing pollution.

One user wrote, “People in this country do not treat the nation like their own home. It is very important to remind them.”

Another person commented that people should be stopped and fined for littering so they understand the seriousness of the issue.

Many users praised Nautiyal’s calm behaviour and civic sense. Comments such as “Well done sir”, “Great job”, and “Salute to you” appeared across social media platforms.

One viewer wrote, “Your small step is an example for many others.”

Another user said, “Speaking is easy, but you showed by action.”

Debate over civic sense and education

The viral clip also started a wider discussion about civic sense in India.

Several people said littering remains a major problem even among educated people. One comment read, “Civic sense is not a subject in our education system.”

Another user joked that highly educated people are often the ones throwing the most garbage.

Some viewers shared their own experiences of confronting people who threw waste from cars. A few said they faced arguments or aggressive reactions when trying to stop littering.

One person wrote that it takes courage these days to advise strangers on the road because some people react angrily.

Others said every vehicle should carry a small trash bag instead of throwing waste outside.

Calls to protect Uttarakhand's beauty

Many comments focused on protecting Uttarakhand’s natural beauty, especially as tourist numbers continue to rise.

Users said littering damages the hills, rivers and roads of the state. Some people claimed tourists from outside states often leave behind plastic bottles, food packets and drink cans.

One viewer wrote that similar behaviour is common in places like Rishikesh and Ladakh, where tourists allegedly throw bottles and wrappers openly.

Some users also said parents who litter in front of children teach the same bad habits to the next generation.

At the same time, a few comments argued that municipal workers are paid to clean roads and collect garbage. However, most users disagreed and said keeping public places clean is everyone’s responsibility.

The video has become popular not because of anger or violence, but because of the calm and respectful way the elderly man handled the situation.

Many viewers said the clip sends a strong message that ordinary citizens should speak up when they see public places being dirtied.

From viral dances to bold lifestyle shifts, the Gen Z trends dominate social media and the latest buzzword making waves online is “Green Sex.” Focused on health and sustainability, the trend is now being adopted by millennials and, to some extent, even Gen X. Interestingly, even those who often criticise Gen Z are now viewing this movement with a degree of appreciation. As conversations around it grow more positive, the concept is reaching a wider audience.

What Is ‘Green Sex’?

Simply put, Green Sex refers to reducing the environmental impact of products and practices associated with one’s sexual life. Highly aware of climate change, Gen Z aims to lower their carbon footprint, even in their most intimate spaces. This has led them to embrace environmentally friendly alternatives in their romantic lives.

Choosing Eco-Friendly Products

Traditional condoms often contain plastic and animal-derived substances. Rejecting this, many young people are opting for biodegradable condoms made from vegan latex that naturally decompose in the environment.

Similarly, battery-operated plastic sex toys are being replaced with rechargeable devices or products made from sustainable materials. The use of chemical-free, organic lubricants is also on the rise.

Mindful Dating Practices

For Gen Z, sustainability has become a key part of attraction. On dating apps, people who show concern for the environment are preferred. Instead of expensive gifts or stays at plastic-heavy luxury hotels, eco-friendly dates such as walks in parks or planting saplings together are gaining popularity.

Supporting Ethical Brands

Young consumers are also rejecting companies that harm the environment purely for profit. They are choosing to support ethical brands that offer fair wages and maintain transparency in their production processes. This shift reflects Gen Z’s pursuit of a purposeful and meaningful life, driven by awareness of how everyday choices impact the planet.

From condoms free of animal protein (casein) to naturally biodegradable products, from USB-charged silicone devices to aloe vera or water-based, petrochemical-free lubricants—every choice is intentional. Beyond sex, the use of menstrual cups and period panties is helping reduce plastic waste. Even bedroom essentials like cotton bedsheets are preferred over synthetic alternatives.

For Gen Z, caring for sexual health and protecting the planet go hand in hand—a belief that is fast reshaping intimate lifestyles across generations.
