He also won the Trap event at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games.

Currently-ranked World No. 28, Kynan was in London when the Olympics were held there in 2012. Sadly, he was unable to attend the tournament given his tight academic schedule; the fact that he could not participate in the tournament troubled him more.

#indialove #indiashooting
— kynan chenai (@kynanchenai) February 2, 2016

Shooting is not the only sport this Olympics hopeful excelled in, he even participated in free style swimming and field Hockey during his school days.

Outside his shooting profession, Kynan is fond of dogs. His family has three dogs - 2 Labradors and an Alsatian. These dogs have been with the family ever since they were puppies and Kynan has been contributing significantly in their upbringing. He looks after their needs and loves their company.

Chenai bagged a ticket to the Olympics when he won at the Asia Olympic Shooting qualifiers in January 2016 and will be seen in action at the Rio Olympics 2016 on August 7 for Men's Trap discipline.

India’s fastest 400 meters (woman) runner, Anilda Thomas made it to the national Olympics relay squad despite opting out from the national camp under Ukrainian coach, Yuri Ogorodnik.

Earlier this year, Anilda had received a threatening mail from the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), urging her to join the national camp to train with the dope-tainted national coach. In 2011 India’s biggest doping scandal broke out.

That year, six relay runners who were being coached by Ogorodnik were suspended for two years after they failed dope tests.Apprehensive about his bad repute, Anilda had a good reason to maintain her distance from the national camp when Yuri Ogorodnik was returning to the country last year.

Anilda instead chose to train with Kerala state coach PB Jaikumar in Thiruvananthapuram and it’s a good thing she did cause the 23-year-old quarter-miler’s blossomed under his guidance. Anilda won the women’s 400m gold in the Indian Grand Prix in April this year, beating Asian championship silver medallist M.R. Poovamma.

Chitradurga: As many as 60 students fell ill after consuming midday meal in Channabasaiahnahatti Primary School in Challakere taluk of Chitradurga district, Karnataka. Several students complained of stomach ache, vomiting and uneasiness minutes after consuming the food served in the midday meal. School teachers with the help of some villagers rushed the students to community health centres and district hospital.

Over 250 students consumed the midday meal but about 60 students complained of stomach irritation. Due to the shortage of beds in the hospitals, most of the students were made to sleep on the floor, complained the parents of students who fell ill. The community health centre is said to have only 30 beds. As many as 3 students were made to lie on a single bed for treatment.

Authorities suspect the presence of a lizard in the midday meal which led to students falling ill after consuming it. One of the students found a dead lizard in the food and the sample has been sent for investigation. The cries of parents and students filled the hospital atmosphere. This constituency comes under health minister B Srimalulu.

Nayakanahatti Police have filed a complaint and are investigating the matter.

This is the second such incident in four months. A similar incident had taken place on July 17 this year in the same school and more than 70 students had taken ill after consuming midday meals. The negligence of the authorities and the concerned people has resulted in students falling ill.

Cases of students falling ill after consuming midday meals are on the rise across the state and cases are reported every two months. Parents complain that negligence of authorities has resulted in such cases and they are yet indifferent to the problems of the students and parents.

It’s high time the authorities wake up and take note of the menace. Students falling ill after consuming midday meals have become a common problem across the state.

Property prices in South Bengaluru, especially in JP Nagar and Bannerghatta Road, could rise by 20% to 40% over the next two years, according to a new report. The biggest reason is the upcoming Namma Metro Yellow and Pink Lines, which will improve connectivity across the city. Experts say this could be a great time for investors.

Bengaluru (Apr 24): Our very own Silicon City, Bengaluru, is growing at a crazy pace, and its real estate market is feeling the heat. If you've been eyeing property in South Bengaluru, listen up. A new report says prices in prime spots like JP Nagar and Bannerghatta Road could shoot up by a massive 20% to 40% in just the next two years.

So, what's causing the price hike?

The main reason for this massive price jump is the Namma Metro project. The upcoming Yellow and Pink Lines are set to connect South Bengaluru to the rest of the city like never before. This improved transport link has already pushed up the demand for property in these areas.

The Metro's Magic Touch:

It's simple logic: when getting around becomes easier, more people want to live there. The Metro means no more traffic headaches, which is a huge plus for IT professionals and investors. The Yellow Line will link up to IT hubs like Electronic City, while the Pink Line will make getting to the city centre a breeze. Because of this, prices for apartments, plots, and even commercial shops around JP Nagar and Bannerghatta Road are all set to explode.

Is this a golden opportunity for investors?

Real estate experts seem to think so. They say if you're planning to buy a house or a plot in Bengaluru, now is the time. Investing before prices hit their peak could mean a profit of up to 40% in the next two years. Plus, rental rates in these areas are already on the rise, giving homeowners a nice extra income.

What are the challenges here?

On one hand, property prices are soaring. On the other, buying a home is becoming a distant dream for the middle class. The demand is so high that real estate deals are happening left, right, and centre. With less land available, it's highly unlikely that prices will come down anytime soon.

Overall, the Namma Metro expansion is completely changing the game for South Bengaluru. So, will you invest now or wait for prices to drop? Market analysts warn that waiting could cost you more than you think.
