Last year, on November 23, 2025, Palash and Smriti were scheduled to get married in Sangli, Maharashtra, the latter's birthplace. But their nuptials were cancelled.

Everyone on the internet is shocked by a viral video and wonders if Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal have reconciled and would soon tie the knot.

A video of Smriti's father meeting Palash's sister Palak Muchhal and her husband Mithoon at a restaurant in Mumbai recently appeared on social media. Palak was observed caressing Srinivas' feet to greet him.

The footage has captured everyone's interest, even if the specifics of their encounter are now unknown. Whether the Mandhana and Muchhal families have finally put an end to their differences is now being debated online.

“I am surprised …but not shocked…hua so hua …let it go," one of the users wrote. Several other users asked, “What’s happening?" Some of the users also claimed that the video might be old.

It should be noted that neither family has released a statement on their reported reunion or the viral video as of yet.

Palash and Smriti planned to marry on November 23, 2025, in Sangli, Maharashtra, where the latter grew up. However, their wedding was initially postponed indefinitely and finally cancelled. Mandhana announced the wedding's cancellation on Instagram.“Over the past few weeks there has been plenty of speculation around my life and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off," Mandhana wrote.

“I would like to close this matter here and implore all of you to do the same. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us the space to process and move on at our own pace," she added.

Later, Smriti's friend Vidnyan Mane, who claimed to have attended the wedding celebrations, made some severe accusations. Mane claims Palash deceived Smriti and was found in bed with another lady. "I was at the wedding ceremonies on November 23, 2025, when he was discovered red-handed with another lady in bed. Bhayanak scenario tha, he was beaten up by Indian female cricket players. The whole family is chindi chor. "I thought he'd get married and settle in Sangli, but it's completely backfired on me," Mane told Hindustan Times.

However, Palash denied all charges, calling them false. The song composer released a statement claiming that Mane's assertions were 'factually inaccurate'. He further said that such actions are intended to ruin his reputation and stated that he plans to take legal action shortly.

"In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane on social media, I wish to state that these claims against me are entirely baseless and factually incorrect," Palash said, adding, "They have been made with malicious intent to tarnish my reputation, and they will not go unchallenged. My lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is investigating all legal options, and this case will be handled properly through the proper legal procedures."

Actor Tom Holland has opened up about his experience working with Matt Damon on filmmaker Christopher Nolan's upcoming film 'The Odyssey', revealing that he received valuable advice from his co-star but will keep it private, according to People.

Damon, 55, and Holland portray the mythological Greek heroes Odysseus and his son, Telemachus, in Christopher Nolan's new movie, an adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic poem. In an interview, Holland shared that working alongside Damon was a memorable experience, describing the veteran actor as a leader on set.

"He was a leader. This was a very tough movie and no one worked harder than Matt did," Holland said, when asked if Damon gave him any "fatherly advice" while working together. "And he always came to set with a smile on his face and he was gracious and he was so kind to the crew. I was raw, nervous, hopeful!! And full of dreams. That space didn't just give me a stage! It gave me a HOPE. I met producers, directors, fellow dreamers. I found a part of myself I didn't know existed."

"...The Women's Reservation Bill is a critical way to ensure women have their say and get what they deserve when it comes to policymaking and national decision-making," she added.

Addressing concerns over political opposition, Malik maintained that the timing or agenda behind the bill should not overshadow its significance. "Even if the bill is passed after ten years, I will not be worried about the politics at the time. My main agenda is that if the bill benefits women, which we all know it does, whenever it passes, I fully support it," she said.

It's a genre with very specific rules and a distinct way of unfolding a story...So I wrote it and it became something."

Ranvir said, "But the real strength of the film lies in its characters, especially, of course, the wonderful Handa sir. More than the setting or the house itself, it's the people who bring it alive. That's where the true energy of the film is, where all the fun and richness come from."

Vinay Pathak heaped praise on Rajat for his vision. "He is a good director. He has written. Jokes apart, the most important thing for me is that he has written it in a very intelligent way. There is an expression in it," he added.

Reflecting on the day the bill was passed, Bhatt said, "I remember when this bill was passed in 2023, we were invited by the film fraternity to the Parliament. It was inspiring to see how MPs come together to take decisions on national issues. Being in such an environment, even as actors, makes you appreciate the responsibility and commitment involved."

'Women Bring Unique Perspectives to Governance'

She emphasized that women bring unique perspectives to governance, especially on issues affecting women. "Harek shetra mein hum dekhte hai ki mahilayen apna loha manwa rahi hai.. (In every field we see that women are making their mark.) Whether in science or sports, why not politics? Women manage homes, work, and responsibilities simultaneously. If women become MPs, they will bring a unique identity. Many times, a woman can raise her voice for another woman and ensure issues are understood and addressed appropriately," Bhatt added.

The actress also highlighted the importance of a balanced representation in Parliament. "A well-balanced parliament will encourage more women to come forward. There are many capable women already working hard as MPs. In the future, young women will also step up. So, I hope that by 2029, we will see a well-balanced parliament," she said.

Future Plans for Implementation

The government is planning to bring an amendment bill to increase the number of Lok Sabha seats to 816 from 543 seats. The idea is to have at least 273 seats reserved for women.

The Tollywood artist community has taken a huge step after a day of back-to-back meetings at Technician Studio on Tuesday. They've announced these major decisions to protest the shocking death of actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee and to make the industry safer for everyone.

After the meeting, the Artist Forum made it clear that Bengali actors and technicians will not work with the production house Magic Moments for now.

The meeting also focused on creating a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure artists' safety. Sources say future rules will look closely at the work environment on sets, mental pressure, and overall security.

There are hints of an even bigger move. Prosenjit Chatterjee, the Vice-President of the Artist Forum, said they might even request a ban on Leena Gangopadhyay and Shaibal Banerjee's production house across India.

“We are answering with action, not just words,” he said. “For now, their work in Bengal is stopped. You will have to wait a few more days to see what steps we take next.”

Allu Arjun has been making headlines for his upcoming film AA22xA6 for a long time. Fans were eagerly waiting for its official title. Finally, on Wednesday, April 8, the makers revealed the film’s name on the superstar’s birthday.

Allu Arjun’s much-awaited film, earlier known as AA22xA6, is now titled Raaka. The film’s producer, Sun Pictures, shared the first poster on Instagram, making the announcement. However, the makers have not revealed the film’s release date yet.

The film is being directed by Atlee Kumar, who previously delivered the blockbuster Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan. Atlee has reportedly been working on Raaka for several years. After Jawan, he also produced Baby John, which did not perform well at the box office.

This imbalance is what the Prime Minister has pledged to correct, ensuring women do not face discrimination," she added. Ranaut emphasized that the reservation will boost women's confidence and help them protect themselves as well as other women.

"Look, if 50 per cent of the country's population remains backward, if they don't have self-confidence, if they don't get protection, and no matter how much we talk about woman empowerment, it is a fact that whether it is about going out alone, or going out at nights, or going to a crowd, even today many women have to struggle with this. So, for this, the Prime Minister is giving direct reservation to women. Starring Sohum Shah and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles, the folkfore based film Tumbaad 2 is creating a buzz in the entertainment industry after the blockbuster re-release of its predecessor in theatres in 2024. Now, finally, the big moment has arrived, as the film has gone on floors with a mahurat shot.

Sohum Shah Announces Start of Shoot

Taking to his Instagram handle, Sohum Shah shared glimpses from the puja ceremony of the movie. The necessary puja ceremony prior to the shooting of the film was attended by producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada and his son Dhaval Gada, along with industry stalwarts Boney Kapoor and Tutu Sharma.
