After this, they again pretend to walk and play for a few steps, trying to look normal.

Second theft and quick escape

Moments later, the same trick is repeated. The boy on the shoulders removes another bulb in a similar way. The group then quickly moves towards a nearby parked auto.

All three youths are then rushing towards the auto and leaving the spot in it within seconds. The entire act appears planned and coordinated.

Video goes viral, sparks strong reactions

The CCTV clip has spread widely on social media, drawing strong reactions from users. Many people expressed shock at the level of planning used just to steal small items. Attacker strikes suddenly and flees

According to police and family members, the attack happened around 9:30 pm. Apparao was sitting outside his house when an unidentified man approached him on foot, NTV reported.

Without warning, the attacker threw acid at him and quickly ran away before anyone could react.

CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced and is now being closely examined by the police. The video shows a man walking through a narrow lane with his face covered by a cap and mask.

Victim rushed to hospital

Hearing Apparao’s screams, family members and neighbours rushed to help him. He was first taken to a nearby private hospital and later shifted to another hospital in Visakhapatnam for better treatment.

Doctors said he suffered burn injuries on his face, neck, and hands. Though the injuries are serious, his condition is now stable.

Police begin investigation

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Teams have been formed to trace the attacker. Officials said they have collected samples from the spot and are trying to identify the chemical used in the attack.

Shivam, aged 31, lived close to the house of the accused's relatives. Due to family connections, he often visited their home, which led to suspicion within the family, according to a report published by India Today.

Attack in broad daylight

On the day of the incident, Shivam had gone to meet Pooja at her house. The family allegedly caught them together. They were then dragged out into the street. It is reported that Gaurav, along with his father Madan and brother Abhishek, chased and attacked both Pooja and Shivam with sticks. When they fell, the attackers used a sharp-edged weapon, a farsa, to slit their throats.

Reports also say that Shivam was attacked multiple times within a very short time, showing the extreme violence of the act.

Bodies found outside the house

After the attack, Pooja's body was found at the doorstep of the house, while Shivam's body was lying in the street. Following the crime, Gaurav reportedly sat near his wife’s body and cried. Meanwhile, his father and brother went to the Etmad-ud-Daula police station and surrendered.

Police later recovered the weapon used in the crime and a blood-stained stick from a nearby drain.

Strong evidence presented in court

During the trial, 14 witnesses were presented. Key evidence included CCTV footage of the incident and the testimony of Shivam’s brother, Abhishek. The accused, Rekha Kaur, married Vikramjeet Singh on May 26, 2025, in a Gurudwara ceremony. The wedding reportedly cost over ₹5 lakh and was attended by family members.

Before the wedding, the couple had signed a court-approved live-in relationship agreement on May 9, 2025. Rekha and her aunt, Pinki Kaur, had assured Vikramjeet that her earlier marriage had ended.

However, this later turned out to be false. Rekha was still legally married and had two children from her previous relationship, according to a report by India Today.

According to Vikramjeet, Rekha’s behaviour changed soon after the wedding. The situation took a serious turn on June 23, 2025.

On that day, she allegedly mixed phenyl into a khichdi meal served to her mother-in-law. The woman fell ill and had to be rushed to hospital.

Theft and escape

While the family was busy handling the medical emergency, Rekha allegedly took advantage of the situation. She fled the house with jewellery worth several lakh rupees, including gold and silver items such as necklaces, bangles and rings. She also took ₹30,000 in cash.

After this, she went missing, leaving the family in shock.

During the investigation, it was found that Rekha and her aunt Pinki Kaur, who is from Sirsa in Haryana, may have targeted several men in a similar way.

Reports suggest that Pinki even warned Vikramjeet that he would not be able to take action and that Rekha would continue such acts.

Vikramjeet first approached the Aravali Vihar police station on July 14, 2025, but claims no quick action was taken. He later moved court to seek justice.

Police officials have said that the matter is under investigation. They also indicated that action will be taken after the court process is completed.

Family in shock

Speaking about the incident, Vikramjeet said he trusted Rekha completely. He believes the entire act was planned in advance.

The case has shocked local residents and raised concerns about trust and safety in personal relationships.

What happened inside the court

As per the letter, the court was closed at the time. Two individuals entered the premises without permission. They were helped by a third person. In the video, one person is seen sitting on the Presiding Officer’s chair. Another is standing inside the witness box.

They were also seen shaking hands and playing songs in the courtroom. The video was later shared online and quickly went viral.

High Court response

The High Court said the act appears to harm the dignity and authority of the court. It issued notices to all three respondents. Justice Sandeep Shah is hearing the matter.

The court has also asked Advocate Mahaveer Bishnoi to assist as Amicus Curiae. The case will now be taken up for further hearing.

Wife, her lover and mother arrested

Police have identified the accused as Puneeth’s wife Rathna, her mother Parvathamma, and her alleged lover Praveen. All three have been taken into custody by Shanivarsanthe police, according to a report by the Indian Express.

According to police, Puneeth and Rathna were living in Yasaluru in Hassan district. About a year ago, Rathna reportedly developed a relationship with her distant relative Praveen.

She later moved to Hemmane village to live with him, which is believed to have caused tension between the couple and eventually led to the crime.

On March 29, Puneeth visited Rathna’s house. During the visit, an argument broke out between them.

After the murder, the accused allegedly tried to hide the crime. They moved Puneeth’s body to a nearby coffee estate and buried it.

The case came to light when Puneeth’s sister filed a missing person complaint.

Police trace body and arrest accused

During the investigation, police traced the buried body and uncovered the crime. The three accused were then arrested.

A murder case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

121 objectionable videos recovered

During the probe, police seized several digital devices, including mobile phones, pen drives, tablets, and memory cards. Forensic analysis of these devices revealed around 121 objectionable videos and photos. According to officials, these recordings were linked to Erande and showed him in compromising situations with multiple women.

This discovery shifted the focus of the case from blackmail to serious allegations of exploitation.

Woman accuses YouTuber of exploitation

Following the findings, a woman came forward and filed a complaint against Erande. She alleged that he had sexually exploited her several times by promising to help her get a government job.

The incidents reportedly took place at different hotels. Based on her complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Section 69 related to sexual relations obtained through deceit.

Charges under the IT Act and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act have also been added.

Training centre linked to accused

Police sources said Erande ran a training centre in Savarkar Nagar, which was registered in his wife's name. Akash Bakre had worked there earlier. After losing his job, he later rejoined Erande's media setup. During this time, he allegedly discovered hidden folders on office computers.

Bakre is said to have stolen a hard disk containing sensitive material. He then began blackmailing Erande by sending sample images and initially took ₹10,000 as advance money, News18 report added.

Police continue deeper investigation

At present, four accused have been taken into custody and are being questioned. Police say the investigation is ongoing and more details may emerge soon.

Officials have also appealed to other possible victims to come forward without fear. They have assured that identities will be kept confidential and counselling support will be provided if needed.

What happened in June 2020?

According to the investigation, Jayaraj, a trader, was picked up by police on June 19, 2020. He was allegedly detained for violating lockdown rules, though later findings suggested he had not broken any rule.

When his son Benicks went to the police station to question the police action, he was also detained.

Both were then kept inside the police station through the night.

Deal made through Telegram

Police said the racket used digital platforms to find donors. A demand was posted on a Telegram group by a man identified as Dr Afzal, who is linked to a hospital in Meerut.

A young man named Ayush from Bihar, who was studying in Dehradun, agreed to donate his kidney after being promised ₹6 lakh. However, he was paid only ₹3.5 lakh.

This payment dispute led to a complaint, which helped police uncover the entire racket.

During the investigation, links to Meerut’s Alpha Hospital came up. Police said several staff members may be involved.

In Kanpur, police arrested Dr Surjit Singh of Ahuja Hospital, his wife Preeti Ahuja, and others. Preeti Ahuja was also a vice-president of the Kanpur IMA.

An ambulance driver named Shivam was also arrested. Police said he pretended to be a doctor to cheat people.

Two OT technicians from Ghaziabad, Kuldeep and Rajesh, were also held.

Health department steps in

Vimal’s father, Gaurishankar Prajapati, said his son bought the batter from Ghanshyam Dairy on IOC Road around 8 PM on April 1. The next morning, he started vomiting and was taken to the hospital.

He said Bhavna later made dosa for their daughter using the same batter, unaware of the issue. Soon after, they also fell sick. He has demanded strict action against those responsible.

Dairy owner denies allegations

Ketan Patel, the owner of Ghanshyam Dairy, has denied the claims. He said they sell 100 to 125 kg of batter daily and many customers, including relatives, used the same batch without any problem.

Three members of the gang were caught by shopkeepers and handed over to police, while the main accused managed to escape, according to a report by India Today.

Gang used fake raids to extort money

According to police, the gang members posed as Income Tax and GST officers. They would enter shops, claim to conduct raids, and scare traders into paying large amounts of money.

Shopkeepers in both Shadiyabad and Saidpur markets had been complaining about such incidents for several days. The gang used fear and authority to pressure people into giving cash.

Some reports suggest the gang had at least seven to eight members, including one woman.

The scam came to light when shopkeepers grew suspicious about the so-called raids. They informed Ikramul Haq, president of the Industrial Trade Board, about the unusual behaviour of the group.

When the gang attempted another fake raid, alert traders quickly informed the police. At the same time, they managed to catch three of the accused on the spot.

A couple in their sixties from Pandori Mohalla near Sultanpur Lodhi police station are living in deep fear. Joginder Pal Singh and Manjit Kaur have already lost four sons to drug addiction. Now, their fifth son, 32-year-old Sonu, is fighting for his life. Sonu is lying critically ill at home. His condition has left the family shattered. The couple fears they may soon lose him as well, according to a report by the Times of India.

Protest by residents

On Sunday, the couple, along with many local residents, held a protest in the area. They demanded that the state government step in and take urgent action. The protesters asked the government to save Sonu and take strong steps to end the drug problem in their locality, the TOI report added.

Serious allegations by locals

Manjit Kaur and other women from the mohalla said drugs are easily available in the area. They claimed that around 20 young people have died due to drug addiction in the past few years.

“Three have died in our mohalla in the last four to five months alone,” Manjit said.

She also shared her personal pain. “Two of my sons who died were married and two were unmarried. Now we fear our fifth son will meet the same fate,” she said.

Struggle to save Sonu

Manjit said Sonu was recently admitted to a hospital. However, she claimed doctors could not find his veins and only gave oral medicines before sending him home. She pleaded with the government to help save her son.

Sonu is married and has two small children, a son aged two-and-a-half years and a six-month-old daughter. The family had earlier admitted him to a de-addiction centre, but he returned home and relapsed within three days.

Stories of loss and hardship

Many other women in the area shared similar stories. One woman said her daughter-in-law left because her son could not give up drugs. Another said her only son is also addicted. Some residents said addicts often steal or sell items from their homes to buy drugs.

They also alleged that drug sellers move freely in the area. According to them, peddlers come on motorcycles with covered faces, deliver drugs quickly, and leave.

Call for strong action

Residents said there is a big gap between what the government claims and what they see daily. They urged authorities to act strongly against drug supply. Manjit said most affected families in the area belong to the Mazhabi Sikh community and are very poor. She added that addiction has drained their limited savings.

The protesting women asked the government to save the youth and protect families from further loss.

Couple had love marriage 11 years ago

According to police, the deceased, identified as Bijendra, was originally from Farrukhabad. He had married Sonia, also known as Soni, around 11 years ago in a love marriage. Family members said that the couple had been facing frequent domestic disputes for a long time. There were also reports of regular arguments and physical fights between them.

Police said that on the night of March 31, an argument broke out between the couple. What started as a verbal fight soon turned violent.

According to the complaint, Sonia allegedly strangled her husband using a stick during the fight. Bijendra died on the spot due to the attack. The sudden death led to chaos and grief within the family.

Accused wife’s statement reveals alleged abuse

In her statement to the police, accused Sonia claimed she had suffered years of abuse in the marriage. She said she had left her family and even changed her religion for love before marrying Bijendra.

According to her, things were normal for the first five to six years, but later her husband became addicted to alcohol, leading to frequent fights at home.

Sonia alleged that the situation worsened after the birth of their second son, and for the past two years she had been facing severe physical and mental harassment. She claimed that her husband would often beat her, sometimes locking her inside a room, and accuse her of having bad character when she tried to speak up.

She also said she felt helpless as no one came to her rescue despite the alleged abuse.

Police register case, accused arrested

Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, police registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Acting quickly, police arrested the accused woman from the Itwar Pushta area after receiving information from an informer.

During questioning, the accused reportedly told police that she was fed up with regular physical abuse by her husband, which pushed her to take the extreme step.

Family makes serious allegations

On the other hand, the victim’s family has made different claims. They alleged that the woman was addicted to alcohol and that this often led to fights between the couple.

Police are examining both versions as part of the investigation.

The couple has two sons, aged 9 and 6 years. After this tragic incident, both children have been left without proper support. The incident has raised concerns about their future and well-being.
