Shivam Dube’s quickfire cameo knock of 32 off 16 balls at a strike rate of 200.00 and his unbeaten 45-run stand for the sixth wicket with Prashant Veer (13* off 10 balls) helped CSK accelerate in the death overs, taking the team to a competitive total in a crucial match.

Following a poor start to the season, scoring just 58 runs in five matches, Kartik Sharma turned his fortunes around dramatically in the next four matches, amassing 186 runs, including two fifties, at an average of 93 and a strike rate of 139.85.

Who is Akash Singh?

Akash Singh comes from a humble family background in Rajasthan, with his father being a farmer and his mother a homemaker. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary-led Bihar Government has rewarded Ishan Kishan with a massive cash prize for playing a pivotal role in Team India’s T20 World Cup title defence on Friday, May 15.

Ishan Kishan, who is currently part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad for the ongoing IPL season, was one of the key members in the Men in Blue’s triumphant campaign, finishing as the tournament’s fourth-highest run-getter with 317 runs, including two fifties, at an average of 35.22 and a strike rate of 193.29 in nine matches.

The southpaw was one of two wicketkeeper-batters, alongside Sanju Samson, in India’s 15-member squad for the marquee event, which took place in India and Sri Lanka.

The SRH and Team India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan travelled to Patna to meet with the Chief Minister at his official residence. Samrat Choudhary, who recently succeeded Nitish Kumar as Bihar CM, felicitated Ishan with a traditional shawl and memento before handing over the cheque of INR 1 crore.

Despite the controversy around his off-field conduct, Arshdeep Singh chose to engage directly with critics rather than staying silent. Recently, a fan on Snapchat expressed their disappointment over the Punjab Kings’ five-match losing streak, urging them to remove ‘Punjab’ from their name to avoid bringing further ‘insult’ to the state's reputation.

“Please remove Punjab from the IPL. Why are you insulting us, my friend?” a fan commented on Arshdeep’s Snapchat account.

Arshdeep, as usual, refused to take the criticism lying down and fired back with a stinging remark that has gone viral on social media.

Arshdeep Singh, who is representing the Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) for the 8th consecutive IPL season, has been the backbone of the franchise’s bowling attack since his debut in 2019. Despite being the PBKS’ leading wicket-taker over the years, his relationship with the fanbase has reached a boiling point during this difficult 2026 campaign.

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh has found himself at the center of a social media storm after a series of controversial strike-rotation decisions in the final over of the IPL 2026 clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Raipur on Wednesday, May 13.

After being put to bat first by RCB captain Rajat Patidar following a long delay for the start of the match due to rain, KKR posted a respectable total of 192/4 in 20 overs. Young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi led the charge with an innings of 71 off 46 balls, including 7 fours and 3 sixes, at a strike rate of 154.35.

Raghuvanshi also formed a crucial 76-run stand for the fourth wicket with Rinku Singh, who played an unbeaten knock of 49 off 29 balls, including 3 fours and 2 sixes, at a strike rate of 168.97. Cameron Green also contributed to the KKR’s innings with 32 runs off 24 balls while stitching a vital 68-run stand for the third wicket with Raghuvanshi.

Eventually, Rinku Singh was stranded on 49*, missing out on his third fifty of the season by just one run, while KKR finished their innings at 192/4. For the fourth consecutive match, Rinku has remained unbeaten, as previously he registered the scores 53*, 83*, and 22* against the Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
