Kumaraswamy, Siddaramaiah in an ugly spat over chief minister’s post
It’s an open war between former chief ministers Siddaramaiah and HD Kumaraswamy (HDK). While Siddaramaiah accused HDK of backstabbing him, HDK hit back, saying he had backstabbed HD Deve Gowda, his father and former PM
Bengaluru: The fight between former chief ministers Siddaramaiah and HD Kumaraswamy has hit the peak, with Siddaramaiah going to the extent of saying that the parrot he took care of has returned to bite him as an eagle. He put out a tweet in this regard.
Reacting sharply to this tweet, Kumaraswamy hit back saying that he had become the CM, not based on the whims and fancies of Siddaramaiah, but due to the courtesy of the Congress high command. He even went on to say that Siddaramaiah did not enjoy his (HD Kumaraswamy) becoming the CM and wanted to topple the government post Lok Sabha elections. He also went on to take a jibe at Siddaramaiah saying he was a parrot nurtured by his father HD Deve Gowda and he had fled him.
