Bengaluru traffic: Here are details of traffic diversion, 'no-vehicle roads' in Bengaluru on New Year's eve
All flyovers will be closed for travel between 8pm and 2am. Vehicles have been banned on roads surrounding MG Road after 8pm.
FollowBengaluru: Bengaluru is all set for to celebrate the New Year. To avert any untoward incidents, Bengaluru police have made proper arrangements in the busy and sensitive areas in the city.
CCTV cameras have been installed on MG Road, Church Street, Brigade Road, Whitefield and other busy places, where people will gather in large numbers to celebrate the New Year.
Surveillance has been arranged in bars, restaurants in the city. Ola, Uber taxi cabs have been promptly appraised about security concerns and rules for the night of December 31.
1,200 police vehicles will patrol throughout the city.
All flyovers will be closed from 8pm to 2am. Traffic diversions have been created on busy roads. Five additional police commissioners, one joint police commissioner, 15 DCPs, 45 ACPs, 220 inspectors, 430 sub inspectors, 800 assistant sub inspectors, 10,000 constables, 1000 home guards will take care of security in the city on New Year's Eve.
Vehicles will be completely banned from MG Road and surrounding roads.

1) MG Road- Anil Kumble Circle to Mayo Hall till Residency Road
2) Brigade Road- Cauvery Emporium Junction to Opera Junction
3) Church Street-Brigade Road Junction to Museum Junction
4) Museum Road-MG Road Junction to Old Madras Bank Road
5) Rest House Road-Museum Junction to Brigade Road junction
6) Kamaraj Road-Cauvery Emporium junction to MG Road junction
7) Residency Cross Road-Residency Road junction to MG Road junction
Meanwhile, public entry has been banned in the popular tourist spot Nandi Hills in the outskirts of Bengaluru.
