Porn video ministers WhatsApp group probe leads chief minister office

The Kerala Chief Minister's Office (CMO) has found itself in the eye of the storm after a porn video appeared in a high-profile WhatsApp group of the state's ministers, MLAs, CPM leaders and top cops.

The 24-second-long clip, which showed a woman in a compromising position, was posted in the WhatsApp group on Wednesday afternoon, much to the shock of its members. The investigation in connection with this has now led to the CMO.

It was a staff member of the CPM mouthpiece who posted the video to the group, according to reports. When he was questioned over the incident, he reportedly said that one of Chief Minister's personal staff sent him the video and that he forwarded it to the group accidentally as he was not tech savvy.

The group's admin removed CPM's Thiruvananthapuram district secretary Anavoor Nagappan, Poonjar MLA PC George, Parur MLA and Congress leader VD Satheesan after some incidents that followed the appearance of video.

It is understood that the probe currently centres around a CMO staff, who keys in the CM's speeches on to the computer for dissemination. Several top cops in the state are members of the WhatsApp group.
