Tough fight to NA Haris by JD(S) candidate in Shanthinagar

For those who believed that Shanthinagar assembly is a Congress stronghold and no other party can breach it, JD(S) is trying to prove them wrong.

Sridhar Reddy, a real estate giant who was in BJP had worked to strengthen the party since 2016 and was hopefu of getting the ticket this time. But BJP's negligence towards Sridhar has worked as a boon for JD(S) as they have welcomed Sridhar into the party.

Sridhar Reddy is said to be the strong leader who can give jitters to NA Haris, the sitting MLA of Shanthinagar.

Known as the most trusted man of former minister and BJP leader Arvind Limbavali, Sridhar was a BBMP corporator of Doddanekundi ward and had solved a number of civic issues including irregular water supply, and bad state of roads.

After the government order in 2015, Doddanekindi ward was reserved for women and Sridhar contested from Hagadur ward in the outskirts of Bengaluru and had lost the election by 200 votes.

Since then he aspired to become MLA and worked hard  to make a name in Shanthinagar and build the party from the grassroots level. He was hoping to get the ticket, which the party denied. Today, he managed to get over 5,000 supporters while filing the nomination. This is an indication that, the mood in Shanthinagar is set to change.
