This is why a temple priest was brutally beaten up by Belagavi residents

The man getting beaten up is no thief, nor is he a child trafficker. In fact, he is a priest at the Kapileshwar temple at Sambhaji Road in Belagavi. Rama Poojari, the man who was beaten up, allegedly hurled abuses at a group of youths who had arrived at the temple. After a heated argument between them, another worker at the temple allegedly threw acid at the youths. This enraged the residents of the colony who beat the priest up in the middle of this night.
