Karnataka Election 2018: Mayor Sampath Raj irks Kannadigas by appealing to voters in Tamil

While the heat over Cauvery row is yet to settle down, Congress candidate from CV Raman Nagar, Mayor Sampath Raj's posters appealing for votes has put the party in bad light. The posters have made Kannadigas angry as Sampath Raj is seeking votes in the Tamil language. Kannada Rakshina Vedike chief Praveen Shetty lashed out at Sampath Raj and has told that such a campaign should be stopped immediately and has also demanded an apology. He also warned of action against anyone seeking votes in any other language than Kannada. Sampath Raj was given the ticket at the last minute as there were no suitable candidates to fight the sitting MLA S Raghu.
