Karnataka election 2018: IT raid shocker to Congress MLA Ashok Kheny in Bidar

The Income Tax and Revenue Department along with Election Commission officials conducted a series of raids across Karnataka on May 11, just a day prior to the Karnataka Elections. The raids were also conducted on the residence of Ashok Kheny, a millionaire businessman and MLA from Bidar Rural constituency. This comes at a time when the congress is pointing fingers at the Centre of using its power for singling out Congress MLAs just before the election. Ahok Kheny is the owner of the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise(NICE) who had laid the controversial Bengaluru Ring Road. The details of the raid conducted this afternoon are yet to be disclosed by the Income Tax department.
