Karnataka: Ancient idols destroyed as they believed they would find treasures

The incident took place in a temple on the way to Savadi village in Ron taluk of Gadag district, Karnataka, where the devotees destroyed the ancient idols of Basavanna and Ishwar (Lord Shiva) in the temple as they could find treasures.
