Bengaluru air pollution impact study: Jayadeva Hospital to cover 1000 traffic police and auto drivers.

South East Asia's biggest hospital Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Disease and Research, all set to test 1000 patients for a study on the impact of air pollution on the heart.

With alarming air pollution and stress level shooting up in Bengaluru city by the day, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Science and  Research has covered 500 traffic policemen and autorickshaw drivers for its pilot study on the health of these set of the population, which is directly exposed to these elements. Dr CN Manjunath, Director of the institution, says that air pollution is going to be the new risk factor for the heart.
