Immediately after coming out from the court hall, the victim left for Mumbai with her family.

As per information, ten days ago, the Mysuru Division police had reached Mumbai and with her and her family's permission, recorded her statement under section 161.

The survivor is said to have cooperated well and given her statement without any hesitance.

As the police showed her the photographs of the arrested and jailed accused persons, she not just recognized but was able to recall in detail all the accused persons' roles on that fateful evening.

She said on that evening she and her male friend had gone out to Chamundi Hills area near Lalithadripura and six accused under the influence of alcohol stopped them. One of them hit her male friend with a stone due to which he fell unconscious.

Later she was dragged into bushes by three accused persons and is said to have given the rest of the details to the police in her statement.

On August 24, heritage city Mysuru hit national headlines as six accused from Tamil Nadu allegedly attempted to rob and then gangraped an MBA student.

Due to the uproar, the accused who are daily wage workers had escaped to Tamil Nadu.

The police based on clues like bus ticket and mobile details from the tower traced the accused within 84 hours of the incident. Later the accused were taken for spot inspection by police.

Meanwhile, the survivor was taken to Mumbai by her family and her male friend was admitted to the hospital for injuries.

The incident also gave a chance to the opposition as Home Minister Araga Jnanendra made an irresponsible statement. The victim was shamed and he said why she should go out at odd hours and also said that with that issue Congress will rape him.

Due to this statement, an uproar was witnessed and the statement was withdrawn.
