The son of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama Kendra Mushavara member and president of Uppinangady Muslim Jamaath, Khazi Twaka Ahmed has blamed a Malayalam news channel for the plight of his father. Hussain K has accused S News Vision of tweaking his father's speech to paint him as a CAA supporter. Many Muslim community members have shamed the Muslim leader and the situation has caused him for his life.

Hussain K says, his father took part in a religious program and placed his views on CAA.

"My father spoke about peace, but he was projected as a supporter of CAA and RSS in the video. This has caused a lot of embarrassment. This was due to the channel playing an edited video. Hence, I have filed a case," said Hussain.

The son and relatives of the Khazi say, following this “fabricated news” in Kasaragod, the Muslim Jamaath (congregation) across Kerala and in coastal Karnataka now doubt the Khazi and this has caused him a lot of humiliation. Khazi who only expressed his views and said peace should be restored is being targeted, the family states.

Recently, Khazi's car tyre was punctured with a metal road when he was travelling, and the Muslim leader believes that it was an attempt to murder him.

A relative of the cleric claimed that few people have called him claiming to be members of the PFI and other outfits, and asked him why he was protecting the Khazi and stated that they would kill Ahmed.
