Baking soda is not only to bake cakes, here’s how you can glam up your skin
Did you know that baking soda can be incorporated into your beauty regime without burning a hole in your wallet?
Skin: Baking soda has some kickass exfoliating properties. It is a great scrub and tightens pores when coupled with apple cider vinegar. That’s not all. It works as great as an anti-acne treatment. Leave it on your skin for 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
DIY Spa: Detox with some baking soda. Give yourself a spa-like experience by mixing equally baking soda and sea salt, and your essential oil of your choice.
Dry Shampoo: Forgot to pack in your dry shampoo? Well, a small dime-sized amount of baking soda will be your knight in shining armour. Apply that to your scalp and remove the rest while combing your hair.
Fingertips and Toes: Are the tips of your fingers looking dull and lifeless? Add a smidge of baking powder to a bowl of warm water and soak your hands in them. Not only will it make your hands and nails feel fresh and healthy, it also exfoliates them. Have a fungal or bacterial infection? Then soak your foot in a tub of water with some baking powder in it.
Natural deodorant: All you need is your favourite essential oil, an eighth of baking powder and a tablespoon of water. It works well because it’s a natural antibacterial agent. Use a cotton ball and rub it under your arms.
