Cleric followers target TMC leader's family in North 24 Parganas

Followers of Furfura Sharif's Peerzada Abbas Siddiqui were accused of attacking the Trinamool leader's house in Barasat and beating the female members of the house. The incident took place on Friday (February 12) night in Rohand Gram Panchayat area of Barasat No. 2 block. 
 

The Trinamool alleged that the supporters of the Indian Secular Front vandalized the local party office by attacking the house of Azgar Ali, the regional president of the Trinamool Congress.
 

Area president Azgar Ali has already lodged a complaint with Madhyamgram police station. He alleged that Abbas Siddiqui's supporters attacked his house with firearms.

The followers of Abbas Siddiqui, a supporter of the Indian Secular Front, have harassed the female members of the house and beat them. After attacking the house of the TMC leader’s house, they went to vandalize the party office.
 

The names of 6 people have come to the fore in this incident. Police have already started an investigation to find them.
 

Meanwhile, supporters of Abbas Siddiqui have denied the allegations. They claimed that they had gone to Diyara village of Rohand gram panchayat on Friday to discuss party matters. At that time, they were stopped by the supporters of the Trinamool Congress in Diyara village.
 

According to locals, the supporters of Abbas Siddiqui have gone to Azgar Ali’s house to complain about the incident. When they didn’t find the TMC leader, they harassed the female members of the house. The incident has caused a stir in the area. Upon receiving the news, a large police force of Madhyamgram police station came to the spot. They have started investigating the matter.
