West Bengal registers 2,753 new COVID-19 cases; 50 deaths
West Bengal's COVID-19 death toll went up to 8,966 on Friday (December 11), with 50 people succumbing to the disease.
According to the state health bulletin, 2,753 new COVID-19 cases were reported in a single day in the state. The total number of COVID cases rose to 5,16,505 so far.
However, 2,873 patients recovered from the infection pushing the total number of recoveries to 4,84,258 in West Bengal.
According to the state health bulletin, the state now has is 23,281 active cases.
Out of the 50 deaths, 15 were reported from North 24 Parganas and 13 from Kolkata.
The 2,753 new positive cases included 679 from Kolkata and 664 from North 24 Parganas.
