President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige that the transgender character would appear in a Marvel film "very soon, in a movie we're shooting right now."
Washington DC: The president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige while speaking at the New York Film Academy, reportedly, responded in the affirmative when he was asked whether Marvel films would have more LGBTQ representation
Feige said that one would find a transgender character in a Marvel film “very soon, in a movie we're shooting right now.
Though he said the more transgender characters will feature in the future, Feige reportedly did not provide any further details.
The news comes months after Marvel released Avengers: Endgame which features its first openly gay character, played by Joe Russo, although it wasn’t a lead character.
Many expect that the character would appear will make its appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder, set to release in 2021, given the many reports that surfaced earlier.
Another Marvel release slated for November is The Eternals, featuring Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kit Harrington, Salma Hayek among other great actors. The film will introduce a gay character.
Disney has been faced with criticism in the past as LGBT representation was only limited. The studio has also been made to edit a few scenes based on guidelines as per countries.
