FollowKannur: A prisoner, who was kept under observation in coronavirus ward, allegedly escaped from Kannur Central Jail, Kerala. The prisoner is identified as Ajay Babu. He is a native of Uttar Pradesh.
Ajay was arrested in a robbery case. He was brought to Kannur Central Jail on March 25. The prisoner was shifted to the observation ward in the jail as he was brought from Kasaragod, which has the highest number of coronavirus cases in the state. Â It is reported that he escaped after breaking the ventilation in the observation ward.
