Kerala actress attack case: Court postpones sitting to April 15 due to coronavirus lockdown

Kochi:  The Kochi additional special sessions court will decide the future course of the trial in the sensational actress attack case on April 15 due to coronavirus outbreak. The court had earlier decided to conduct a sitting on Friday, but due to the lockdown the sitting would be held only on April 15. 

All the trial courts in the state have postponed their proceedings following an order of Kerala high court in the wake of national lockdown.

According to reports, the court had scheduled to examine around 30 witnesses during this period. As per the earlier schedule, the first phase witness examination was expected to be completed by April 7. In this phase, as many as 136 witnesses were to be examined. In the second phase, as many as 119 witnesses were to be heard.
 
On February 17, 2017, a south Indian actress was abducted and assaulted by a group of men in a moving car in Kerala. 
 

Dileep sends abduction visuals to forensic science lab:

One of the accused in the case, Mollywood actor Dileep, has sent the visuals of the alleged abduction to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Chandigarh, to check its authenticity. According to reports, the memory card, which was sent to CFSL contains visuals of the assault.

The complete expense of the lab test will be borne by Dileep. He is the eighth accused in the Kerala actress abduction case.
