Two nurses working at the Delhi State Cancer Institute tested positive for coronavirus on Friday.

Two nurses at Delhi State Cancer Institute have tested positive for coronavirus. Due to this, the hospital has shut down operations. Health authorities have started contact tracing of these nurses.

Two days ago, a doctor from this hospital had tested positive. After the test results came, two nursing officers were found to be coronavirus positive.

On Wednesday, three doctors in Delhi had also tested positive for COVID-19, two of them are from Safdarjung Hospital. The third doctor works at Sadar Vallabh Bhai Patel Hospital.

According to the Health Ministry, the number of active coronavirus cases in the country was at 2088 as of 9am on Friday. 156 people have been cured/discharged and 56 people have died.
