People without symptoms could also be COVID-19 positive: Pathanamthitta collector

Pathanamthitta: Many have doubts about whether a person can be infected with coronavirus, and not display symptoms. Pathanamthitta district collector PB Noor in a Facebook live stated that a person not displaying any symptoms can also be infected.

He added that one among the two men diagnosed with coronavirus in Pathanamthitta district didn't display any symptoms. He also added that there are 12 positive cases of coronavirus in the district.

Providing an example, he said, a patient from Adoor reached Pathanamthitta from Dubai. He was tested as he had travelled to different places by violating instructions. Authorities had asked him to remain in quarantine, but he didn't respect the directive. Collecting his samples, the doctors said that he displayed no symptoms, but he tested positive for COVID-19. The collector made it clear through the video that a person can be coronavirus positive and not display any symptoms.
