Seeing a woman ride a bike not only grabs eyeballs but also makes heads turn. Biking is often considered a male dominated sport. Women—mostly considered as better pillions—are often expected to take the back seat and not gear through. However, times are changing.
Meet 48-year-old Bengaluru resident Madhu Menon, a mother, a clinical psychologist by degree, an HR professional by experience and a biker by passion. Madhu, who became India’s oldest woman motorcycle racer to qualify for the nationals in 2019, has been riding since the age of 7. Here's her story.
