The CM after his rounds addressed the reporters and said that the situation in the state is improving and new cases have come down by 5,000 and daily discharges from hospitals and Covid Care Centers have outnumbered the new cases.
He also said that in 28 Covid Care Centers, 3,000 beds including 1,000 oxygen beds are made available to patients and he said the demand for oxygen beds have also come down.
However, his primary focus now remains to be in villages and slums as there chances of spread of infection is more due to small houses and hence asked the authorities to ensure the suspected population gets treated at Covid Care Centers.
He said from food to treatment everything at the Care Centers is free and asked the public to cooperate in the fight against Covid.
To a question on vaccine shortage in the state, CM said he will not deny it and at the same time will speak to the Central government and as and when the new stocks keep arriving, it will be evenly distributed for public use.
He also hinted at another relief package as some of the sections are yet to get any relief during the pandemic.
During the visit, CM was accompanied by MP PC Mohan, Dy CMs Govind Karjola, Dr Ashwath Narayana and NA Harris.
