One of the most frequently asked questions by people who are hesitant to get vaccinated is that if you can still get infected despite getting both the shots, then why get vaccinated at all?
Others are curious to know about the level of protection they have after one dose of the vaccine versus if they are fully vaccinated.
According to WHO's Chief Scientist Dr Soumya Swaminathan, "The main goal of these vaccines is really to prevent severe disease because what we want is for people, even if they get the infection, is for them to recover from it and not become seriously ill. So that's something that all of these vaccines do really well."
