Noted Ayurveda proponent and Director of Ramaiah Indic Speciality Ayurveda and Restoration Hospital, Dr GG Gangadharan has urged Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharama to give more focus to Ayurveda.
According Dr GG Gangadharan, director of Ramaiah Indic Specialty Ayurveda hospital, the Budget should provide for establishing four exclusive institutions to explore and research in Ayurveda.
He also calls upon the need for a highly-evolved academy which can provide a PHD in Ayurveda science.
Besides, Dr GG Gangadharan expects that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gives tax subsidy on Chyawanprash and gives a go ahead to the long-pending demand to declare Ayurveda as a heritage industry.
