Top environmentalist and senior scientist from IISc, Prof TV Ramachandra suggested that the government can give incentives for growing of millets and pulses in a large way.
As the budget focuses more on the urban sector, he suggested decentralization of cluster-based development in the rest of Karnataka and India rather the focusing too much on Bengaluru similar metro cities and focus of the energy sector.
He said the government can also fund water conservation by the rejuvenation of lakes and incentives the common effluent treatment plant in the locality where there are industries also use the treated effluent for a secondary purpose.
