Are you bald? Take no offence. But if you are one, thank your 'egghead' as it can be a 'ticket' to watch the premiere show of the much-talked 'Ondu Motteya Kathe' movie. So, if you are one, head to Cinepolis, at Binnipet on July 6 at 9 pm to catch the movie screening free.
And, if you don't have a bald head, you could still be part of it. How? You have to shave your head and be bald to claim your tickets! But only the first 25 'eggheads' will stand a chance to get the free tickets for the movie which will be released in cinemas on July 7.
The movie as the promos show deals with the travails of being an 'egghead' by Raj B Shetty, who is the writer, actor and director of the movie. But on a sensitive note, the movie mirrors the society's obsession with beauty and being perfect in physical appearance. While its creative posters have become the talk of the town, the movie's tracks composed by Mithun Mukund are already climbing on the charts, especially the quirky 'Bolu makkala golu keli...".
Notwithstanding the creative campaign for the movie's promotion, the movie is making the right noises for its honest story telling. Debutant Raj Shetty, an RJ-turned film maker, had stated in couple of interviews that through the character Janardhan - who is bald in the movie - he has tried to understand the life from his perspective of being bald headed.
What was thought to be limited to only Mangaluru and Udupi screens, the movie today boasts of its official selection at the New York Indian Film Festival 2017 and London Indian Film Festival 2017. Much credit goes to Pawan Kumar of 'Lucia' and 'U-Turn' fame for producing the movie. The movie will be released here on July 7. What more, it is also slated for release in Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
