West Bengal: NIA busts Pak-sponsored Al-Qaeda terror module; seventh suspect absconds

After arresting six suspected Al-Qaeda militants from Murshidabad, the NIA (National Investigation Agency) received multiple shocking revelations. Based on that information, the NIA conducted another operation in Murshidabad and according to reports, the seventh militant has absconded.
 


After arresting six suspected Al-Qaeda militants from Murshidabad, the NIA (National Investigation Agency) received multiple leads.

According to reports, the NIA has launched another operation based on the information received after the interrogation. However, the seventh suspected militant Munna Sarkar has absconded.

The officers have been interrogating the militants at the NIA office in Bidhannagar from Sunday (September 20). Meanwhile, the state is likely to send the six militants to Delhi for face-to-face interrogation with captured militants in Kerala. Investigators speculate that details of Al Qaeda in the Indian sub-continent will be known after the investigation.

According to the interrogation, at least 3 people have been sent to Pakistan for training at Al-Qaeda’s Bengal-Kerala model. Multiple addresses of the Malda district have come up in the interrogation. But in Murshidabad, there are two more members of Al-Qaeda who have absconded.

Incidentally, Al Qaeda militants are setting up bases in the state of West Bengal. The Central Intelligence Agency had earlier given warnings.

According to reports, 3 more members of Al Qaeda have been arrested from Kerala.
