As part of the UK mission's initiative to empower and highlight the challenges faced by women across the world, Chaitanya Venkateswaran assumed the chair of the British High Commissioner in India
New Delhi: It was a day that 18-year-old Chaitanya Venkateswaran from New Delhi will never forget.
For a day, Chaitanya was the United Kingdom's top most bureaucrat in India.
As part of the UK mission's initiative to empower and highlight the challenges faced by women across the world, Chaitanya assumed the chair of the British High Commissioner in India.
Chaitanya is the fourth youngest woman to take over the post after winning the annual competition run by the UK mission in celebration of International Day of the Girl Child on October 11.
