
New Delhi: Taking a leap forward in its “Neighbourhood First Policy” India has delivered a Passenger Variant Dornier (PVD) to Mauritius Police Force on lease.
At a handing over ceremony which was held at Maritime Air Squadron of Mauritius’ National Coast Guard, Indian High Commissioner to Mauritius Nandini K Singla emphasised on the friendly ties and naval cooperation existing between the two countries.
Singla said that the leased aircraft to Mauritius Police Force by the Indian Navy on gratis basis to support the current increased load of air operations.

She also mentioned that next year, HAL shall be handing over a brand new State-of-the-Art PVD to Mauritius and this purchase has been facilitated by the Line of Credit under the Government of Mauritius.
Mauritius Minister of Land Transport and Light Rail, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade Alan Ganoo appreciated India’s effort in extending support to Mauritius.
