Carrie Lam, Hong Kong leader said the city will offer free coronavirus testing for all its 7.5 million residents
Lam said these testing will help gauge the level of transmission in the community. It also will help find those who may be carrying the virus but not showing symptoms and reassure the public.
She added that anyone can take the test, even if it is a high-risk group or not. Hong Kong has registered more than 3,800 cases with 46 deaths
The tests will be carried maintaining social distancing and other COVID-19 guidelines
The city is struggling to contain a new outbreak that has seen it adding around 100 new cases per day
