After the Nandigram incident, Vivek Sahayak has been removed from the security responsibility of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. While attending a public meeting at Saltora in Bankura on Tuesday (March 16), Mamata Banerjee attacked the BJP and said, “A conspiracy is being made against me. The administration is also not left behind. What do they want? Do they want to kill me?”

Mamata Banerjee attacked Amit Shah and said, “Home Minister (Union Home Minister) will not run the country! The Home Minister has come to Calcutta and is conspiring to decide who will be arrested, who will be killed and whom the investigation agency will interrogate.”

“Notice has been sent to the Home Secretary. I will ask the Election Commission (Election Commission) to see, why government officials are being harassed during the election? Why are political leaders being harassed? Warrants are now being sent against those who started the peasant movement in Nandigram,” she added.

Besides attacking Shah, Mamata also questioned the neutrality of the Election Commission. Expressing doubts, she questioned, “Is the work of the election commission going on at the fingertips of Amit Shah?”

The CM also said, “I respectfully say, who is running the Election Commission? Amit Shah ji, are you not directing the commission? We want free and peaceful voting. But who is Amit Shah? Who is he to show the way to the Election Commission? He is interfering in the daily work of the Election Commission. And constantly (plotting) against us. The person in charge of my security (former state security chief Vivek Sahay) has also been removed. What do they want? Does they want to kill me?”

“If you kill me, do you think you can win? You will be defeated in Bengal,” she added.
