Amit Shah offers prayer at Bharat Sevashram Sangha in Kolkata

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at Kolkata Airport late Wednesday (February 17) night. The top leadership of the state-BJP was present at the airport to welcome him. On Thursday (February 18) offered prayers at Bharat Sevashram Sangha at Rash Behari Avenue in Kolkata.

On the same day, Amit Shah tweeted, “'Sri Sri Thakur Ramakrishna Paramahansadeva, who has united the country with his teachings and judgment has revealed the whole world in religion and spirituality. The path shown by Sri Sri Thakur Ramakrishna is a beacon of inspiration for humanity, the light of which has been guiding human life for eternity.”

Amit Shah performed a special aarti at Bharat Sevashram Sangha and met religious leaders. The Bharat Sevashram Sangha was founded in 1917 by Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj. The Sangha has hundreds of ashrams in India and other countries. It is known for community work, helping poor and providing healthcare to those in need.

Amit Shah will hold a meeting with BSF officials on Thursday. From Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Shah will go directly to Gangasagar by helicopter.
