West Bengal reports 190 new COVID-19 cases; 2 more deaths

West Bengal on Sunday (February 14) reported 190 new COVID-19 cases. According to the state health bulletin, the state registered two COVID-19 deaths in a single day. Out of the two deaths, one was due to comorbidity where COVID-19 was incidental.

Out of the 2 deaths, one was registered from Kolkata and another from North 24 Parganas district which took the toll to 10,232.
A maximum number of 65 fresh positive cases was reported from North 24 Parganas district. So far, a total of 5,72,595 cases were reported in West Bengal.

In the last 24 hours, 262 patients recovered from COVID-19 and returned home from the hospital. The recovery rate in the state stands at 97.50 percent.
Till Sunday, 5,58,277 people have been cured of COVID-19. The state now has 4,086 active cases.
Since Saturday (February 13), 22,204 samples were tested for coronavirus in West Bengal pushing the total number of such tests to 83,00,367, the bulletin said.
