Karnataka drug case: Kishore Shetty remanded to 7-day police custody

Synopsis

ABCD fame actor and dancer Kishore Shetty and Aqeel Nausheel have been remanded to 7-day police custody. The duo was arrested on the charges of drug trafficking and consumption. 

Mangaluru: Bollywood actor, dancer, and choreographer Kishore Shetty and Aqeel Nausheel have been remanded to seven days police custody by a judge in Mangaluru.

The duo was arrested on the charges of drug trafficking and consumption by the Central Crime Branch in Mangaluru.

The CCB Sleuths had produced the two before the judge at his residence on Sunday, September 20 after which the police took them into custody.

The duo was subjected to a coronavirus test on Sunday and the result is expected on Monday, if they test positive, treatment will have to be provided as per the government norms.

However, until the test result is received, the police personnel will not be able to resume questioning of the two regarding the case.

Based on reports Kishore had returned to the city a few months back and during the preliminary questioning he revealed that despite being a drug addict himself, he began drugs business only recently.

The CCB sleuths had seized 50 MDMA tablets from Kishore Shetty before the arrest.
