Besides this, a weekend curfew will also be imposed from Friday 9 pm to Monday 6 am.
The restrictions will continue till May 4. According to the guidelines, the night curfew will continue from 9 pm to 6 am.
The decision was taken after an all-party meeting convened by Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala to review the Covid-19 situation in the state. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, who is undergoing treatment for Covid-19, participated in the virtual meeting from a private hospital.
What's permitted:
* Shops selling essentials, vegetables, dairy products, meat and fish
* Takeaway at standalone liquor shops/bars/outlets
* Delivery of items via E-commerce
* Banks and ATMs will operate
* Salons and beauty parlours
* Up to 50 members allowed for marriage
* Up to 20 people allowed for funeral/cremation
* Public transportation, Metro service to operate with 50 per cent occupancy
* E-Commerce deliveries
What's not permitted:
* Cinema halls, theatres, assembly halls
* Schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions
* All religious places
* Restaurants and eateries (only parcel and takeaway services)
* Social, political, religious, cultural gatherings
