The BBC was accused of racism after it played a clip of the wrong actor while paying tribute to Bollywood legend Shashi Kapoor. Tributes poured in from all around the world for the actor who made more than 100 films. He died on Monday in Mumbai at the age of 79. Shashi Kapoor's death made it to the BBC News at Ten, but the video tribute they played triggered furious reactions because it showed the footage of fellow star Amitabh Bachchan by mistake. It got worse when they also featured footage of actor Rishi Kapoor instead of his famous uncle. The BBC faced backlash on social media with users claiming the same mistake wouldn't have been made if a white star had died.
