Visa God, change Trump’s mind: New prayer of devotees visiting Chilkur Lord Balaji

Chilkur Lord Balaji Temple in the outskirts of Hyderabad is famous as a Visa temple because it is mostly visited by people applying for visa to the United States.

Despite the new visa rules put in place by Trump government, the devotees are thronging the temple. This has now resulted in more and more people thronging the temple. While earlier people used to visit to pray for visa, the devotees are now approaching the Lord with the request to change American President Donald Trump’s mind.

After completion of Engineering, students look towards America for higher studies or securing the H1B Visa. Now we find not only a change in attitude in prayer but also a change of crowd visiting the temple.

Another group lining up for prayers is that of the parents of children settled in US.

“Our children settled are comfortably in jobs in US and we have improved our economic condition. Now if Trump had a change of mind, our children would lose their jobs and we would be in a financial crisis. So please change Trump’s mind,” is what the devotees are praying for, said chief priest CS Balakrishna.

Every day around 2000 devotees visit the Chilkur temple and at present 80 per cent of the visitors are those are hopeful that the Lord Balaji will change Trump’s mind.

Mandadi Yadagiri Reddy (72) with wife Yashoda (64) from Warangal visited the Chilkur Temple on Sunday. Their prayers were for their son and daughter-in-law living happily in America, that circumstances should not change and that God should protect all the Telugu people from communal fights.
