KT Rama Rao calls Congress loafer party Congress demands his arrest

Telangana Congress leaders are up in arms against Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao. Well, they have a reason to be. The IT Minister called Congress a 'loafer' party. He also called the Congress party president Rahul Gandhi 'Pappu' at a party conference.

Congress came out all guns blazing, demanding that the TRS leader be arrested under Section 506 and 507 of the IPC. Addressing separate press conferences, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief spokesperson Dasoju Sravan, MLAs A Revanth Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said many TRS leaders started their career in the Congress, including KTR's father K Chandrasekhar Rao, and asked if they were loafers too.

Congress alleges that these statements are only to please BJP and to appease them since the TRS government failed to garner anything substantial from the Centre in the Union Budget.

Congress leader and leader of opposition in Telangana State Legislative Council Mohammad Ali Shabbir called KTR a 'chinna loafer' (meaning junior loafer)

But whatever the case, such unparliamentary name calling is unbecoming of these ministers. KTR is a functioning minister of the ruling party and also the son of Telangana's Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Does he not understand that his statements will have serious repercussions? Congress also has turned the situation into a street fight with all the mudslinging.
