KCR warns of Act to make opposition prove allegations against government

Seems like Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar is really miffed with the Opposition. It is common to see these scenes in the Houses of the Parliament or State Assemblies where politicians hurl accusations against each other and often end up violating the rules of decorum. In fact, Indian politicians are among the most unruly lot.

Coming back to the case in question KCR criticised the Opposition for levelling “baseless allegations” of corruption in whatever programmes the government takes up. He has been quoted by the Deccan Chronicle as saying, “We will no longer tolerate this. Anyone making allegations on the government should prove them, else they have to face stringent action. We will soon bring an Act in this regard.”

Replying to the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor's speech, an agitated KCR said that the speech reflected the programmes and schemes implemented by the government. “If anyone proves they are lies, I will quit my post within five minutes,” he said.

This has been the bane of our daily Parliamentary work. While the Centre or State does something, there are immediate voices of dissent alleging corruption or wrongdoings or saying the programme or project won’t work. Rarely do the opposers have a solution to offer.
