Xiaomi to launch Redmi 4A smartphone on 20 March

Xiaomi has sent invites for its launch event taking place in Delhi on 20 March. The invite hints at the possible launch of the Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A that was launched in China late last year.
The 4A is said to be priced around CNY599, which is roughly ₹5700. This means the Xiaomi device could be priced somewhere in the same price bracket. The device will be Amazon-exclusive.
The Redmi 4A sports a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution, Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras, and a 3120mAh battery. It doesn't come fitted with a fingerprint scanner.
However, there could be a couple of invites. And, the company may also launch the other devices in the Redmi 4 series including the Redmi 4 priced at CNY 699 that is roughly ₹6900), Redmi 4 Prime priced at CNY 899 (approx ₹8,900), and the Redmi 4X available in two variants priced at CNY 699 (roughly ₹7,000) and CNY 899 (approx ₹8,500) respectively.
Manu Jain, VP and MD at Xiaomi India, and Product Lead Jai Mani will be present at the event. The company recently disclosed that more than one million Redmi Note 4 units were sold in 45 days. Redmi Note 4 was launched in India earlier this year and received accolades for the value for money it offers.
